    Hello OSers! *waving*

Not been around much and not had time to read the thread today but woo hoo Joannesmum, congratulations to you! Ace news

Just got my payslip and it has my bonus in it and so have gone ahead and booked an electrician to come out and fit some new sockets in my kitchen before I have it tiled - it's a friend of a friend so hopefully it won't cost the earth, I have the tiles and grout already and another friend is hopefully visiting me at Christmas to do the actual tiling - so finally it looks like my kitchen could be near completion - nearly 2 years after having the units put in :D

Hope everyone is keeping well, hugs to those who want one xxx

Just got back from shopping and have made a good start, managed to get DS2 a good mobile for half price in Woolworths:j and a half price hot waterbottle for mum with a lovely knitted cover:D . Picked up quite a few things from Argos and got a £5 gift card for free to use by February - wont be hard to spend it!:D

Thanks for this Queenie, it explains a phrase I've heard on American TV shows (notably The West Wing) 'I didn't drink the Kool Aid'. Now I get it :T

    Afternoon all

Just skimmed through thread so far but

CONGRATS JOANNASMUM - you must be dead chuffed.

Part of me is wishing I were pregnant too, and part of me is grateful not to be.

Been at work all day so not alot of OS. Fish pie removed from freezer for dinner tonight. BM to go on. WM to go on. Kitchen floor to sweep and mop (haven't seen any slugs, or any sign of them, for about 2 weeks - hopefully they've gone somewhere else)

    Must finish DDs scarf tonight.

Of to have a nose round the rest of OS

    See you later.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Penny Pincher....apologies I've got a very overactive imagination sometimes. I swear, had I been wearing glasses last nigh,t they would have steamed up watching the rerun of Mr Ramprakash last night on Strictly Come Dancing. I am, I'm definitely turning into an Arlene now I've hit 40. Quick must get myself a nice cup of tea and calm myself down a bit!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Just skimmed the thread today as having a busy day with not much time for surfing, but wanted to say a big

    CONGRATULATIONS JOANNASMUM!!

Hope to catch you all properly tomorrow....
  • Evening Guys!

Been busy since DD got home from school. DD has baked 5 cheese scones for her cooking lesson tomorrow and they have turned out great. I have also done some iced fingers in the BM-will take pics once they are done as still waiting for them to rise abit before bunging them in the oven.

DD got another A* today for Art, last week was English:D She seems to be doing well but really needs to read the questions more fully before answering them:rolleyes:

Have folks/sister coming Saturday, so will get DD to make some more scones and if the stiky fingers come out ok, then them too;) OH said he may do a coffee and walnut cake which is my favourite cake of all time. Must also grind some coffee beans as my dad is partial to fresh coffee.

OH has been to see his mum again and she seems ok. He has spoken to her about chilling abit with the driving as she really is getting quite bad at it:eek: ..she agreed and OH suggested some extra driving lessons.

Have another hospital appointment tomorrow morning where a nice fat juicy needle will be waiting for me:eek:   ....have SIL here to do the cleaning and some odd jobs for me. OH said he may take me to lunch, but we will see. Have a few odd jobs needing doing by OH, so he will be busy too:D I must do some of my course reading, so my day is going to be really boring.

The uniform OH got from the 2nd hand shop have all washed up very well and am so pleased. DD actually wore her new jumper to school today as I washed it through last night. The blouses just need ironing and her PE kit is already for Friday.

Anyway, have to go and watch a Gilmore girl with DD.

    Hugs
