MIL had a car accident this morning and is abit shaken up but ok. OH went to make sure she was alright but she had taken herself off to bed. This is the 3rd accident in 3 months. She really shouldnt be driving-luckily nobody else was hurt.
The new drawers have been delivered, so we have been sorting out the ones DD will now be having and chucking loads of rubbish out. I have about 6 BN bras that can be ebayed, along with a BN Next bag and a few other bits. It smells of new pine in our room-devine! It will be nice to have a lamp each side again and somewhere to put my current read:D
BargainRzl-OH bought from Charlton and they did have others ranging from single-superking. All were originally priced at at least £180+   ....it was lovely to sleep in the new quilt last night, but was quite heavy-so kind of couldnt move:rotfl: Let me know if you need feeding on the day of move. I really do hope they give you a date ASAP as this is getting ridiculous. Have you threatened with a formal complaint or contacting the director of the HAThreaten to contact Watchdog!
Have my folks, sister, BIL and their brats here saturday. BIL and nephew have tickets to see Chelsea. May pop to Makros with others as there is also a huge Matalan 2 mins away and some other shops that we could look at. I think its about time, I actually told family how ill I am-but dont want to worry them....ohh I dont know...easier if they dont know. Dont want to be stuck indoors with them all as I only have a small house and sister/BIL are going through a bad patch ATM:cool:
OH has posted parcels/letters. Spuds peeled for the Bubble and veg prepared for tonights dinner. Washing has been hung on airer as it wont dry today outside.
Anyway, have to go. Hugs.

I am not at all sure that it is cheaper though. The wholemeal flour was 68p for 1.5kg. Then the other stuff you need like the yeast seems to be very expensive. Also 3 and half hours cooking time. Does it use a lot of leccy?
Have been and done big shop in Sainsburys - went to Asda but they were shut due to a fire alarm going off! £91+ today in Sainsburys - I did get some candles, some selotape, 2 pairs of trousers for DD3, a birthday card and a book on knitting (which I am going to carefully use and then give to someone for Xmas).
Have done a white wash in the WM but have loads more to do. It catches up with me this time of year as drying it is a nightmare. Have to use TD and that is expensive.

PP - I really don't want to complain to the HA at this point, because the HA staff themselves have been incredibly helpful - it's their solicitor who has been the complete pain in the @rse. So what I think I might do is wait until it's all gone through, and then write to the senior management of the HA with a detailed account of the hassle the solicitor has caused me.
Thanks for info about the quilts. I'll bear it in mind even though I don't know yet what size I need - I only have a single bed at the moment, am waiting until I have a formal completion date on the flat before ordering a bigger one and I'm still trying to work out whether a kingsize will be too big for the bedroom which is 10ft square and also needs to accommodate wardrobes etc.
Saw a lovely cream kingsize bedstead in the window of that clearance store on Upper Wickham Lane a couple of days ago, but one of the posts is badly cracked. Shame, it's gorgeous!
Thanks also for the offer of grub on moving day- I suppose it depends on what time of day I end up moving, really.
Glad your MIL is OK - honest
elona - hope it all goes OK with the cremation (((hugs)))Operation Get in Shape

Hi everyone!
Congratulations Joannasmum...what lovely news.
Please Penny Pincher would you be so good as to enlighten me as to what precisely sticky willys are...my tiny little mind is boggling and I'm sure that is shouldn't be!!!!!!
It's a nice calm peaceful sort of day today and I hope it stays that way. I've done the usual tidy round and sorting out and all the floors are washed. OH has put the BM on and he's conjuring up macaroni and broccoli cheese for supper.
This evening I need to make a couple of calls and there are a couple of mending jobs that need my attention which the small person has created for me in last few days. Boys AAARGH! Having finished my scarves aswell I hope to dig out my cross stitch dolls house carpet to pass the evening.
Am most sad as have now finished the TWG. It's taken me since the end of September to read properly and I shall feel quite bereft without it. Although I don't always agree with some of the ideas nor do I understand all the refs [what is Kool Aid...some type of drink I assume] it's given me lots of inspiration and food for thought. I've even been doing some of things for years already...mostly a case of common sense.
I am pleased to report that at long last I've put my mincemeat into jars and they're ready for distribution amongst family and friends. It will be nice to be able to give something back as everyone has given me lots of treats and small gifts recently...today I've been given some eucalyptus leaves to try for unblocking a stuffed up nose.
Have a fabby day!

Kool-Aid is a drink, it comes in powder form (sweetened and coloured) and you add it to water I presume. Sounds vile:rolleyes:
I'm feeling very pleased with myself as I've just made my Christmas cake (Jane Grigson's orange and ginger cake to be precise - can't remember who recommended it but it was one of you lovely ladies). It looks and smells great so thanks whoever it was:T
Did my Christmas pud on Monday, in the SC of course, so its just the mincemeat to do now, but I'll leave that a while yet.0 -

There are no plans for Kraft to sell it in the UK and unfortunately, it gained a very sad reputation due to the horrific cult/suicide/murders involving Jim Jones. You can read all about that on the wikipedia (and it lists all those flavours of KA too  ).
Not all the satchets are sweetened - I was sent a variety of unsweetened so we could control how much/little sugar was added. The cherry flavour is absolutely GORGEous!! But, it's not something you'd want spilled!! The colours really, really stain!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You may wish to speak to the Law Society as it is the Regulatory body for solicitors. THey have a well oiled procedure for dealing with complaints (from personal experience)
Hope things get going for you very shortly
