    Hello!

    Congrats JoannasMum!

Well, we had to have our heating on last night/today to make sure it worked - and it does, so now I'm boiling. Still, it's drying my washing nicely. Just the one load of washing done today, which I'll iron later if its dry

Nothing going on here today - I would like to get loads of things listed on Ebay - I figured if I clear the mountain of 'ebay' boxes, I'll have space for a freezer AND a breadmaker :j

We were going to go Xmas shopping again today, but its overcast and dull, so I don't feel like it. I'd rather stay in and play Monopoly instead! Although, that said, I desperately need to find an engagement present for a party we've just been invited to on Saturday. Any ideas?

    Breakfast - Toast and honey
    Lunch - Soup
    Tea - Possibly Pumpkin risotto

If they live together, maybe something for the house; a breadmaker or slowcooker - encourage them to be OS! :D

If they don't maybe some sort of vouchers or tickets to a show etc

Depends how much you want to spend really.

Why the late notice? Saturday is only a few days away

Vouchers/tickets were my first idea too :)

I think a nice bottle of Champagne, and maybe some glasses or a corkscrew set. That won't break the bank - it's actually OH's friends, so I'm not too fussed about it.

As for the late notice - your guess is as good as mine

    Morning all

Firstly, congratulations to Joannasmum :j :j Hope all goes well. (I loved being pregnant, but I'm not having any more before you ask :D)

Also, (((hugs))) to all those sick, in pain or who need more sleep :grouphug:

I haven't had a lot of time to get on OS as much as I'd like lately and when I have it's often been a quick 5 minute dip in and out, so I've missed loads of news on the daily thread, I'm sure. Rzl - what's happening? I haven't caught up with your latest posts.

Anyway, DS1 was sick the other night so despite repeated hand-washing of the carpets, I need to get the vax out. Need to do the living room carpet again cos SD2 has a fondness for sneaking in there with his yoghurts

Did a big shop yesterday, but having made a special trip past Lidl's, also found the freezers devoid of goose and as I have duck already, didn't succumb to any more. Hopefully they will get some more in soon because I was quite looking forward to trying it.

Have nearly finished my Xmas shopping!! Went to Touys R Us yesterday to get last bits for boys. Just my 2 sisters, my mum and Mr TM to buy for. Will start wrapping soon too :)

Also have given in and bought myself a lappy. It's a business one (good excuse) but at least it means I can surf whilst making tea or watching Corrie :D Also means I can keep everyone else off it. can't get online with it yet as I'm waiting for my wireless router to arrive, but by next week I'll be "speaking" from the kitchen or in bed :rotfl:

Right, need to get on. To do list for today includes sorting out the office, vaxing the carpets, cleaning the kitchen and the en suite. going to the Post Office, delivering birthday cards, and sorting out what's for tea .... will have a delve in the freezer in a mo.

Have a great day everyone :)

congratulations Joannasmum.. I am most jealous, we have been trying for 15 months with no luck.. must be doing something wrong.. you'd think after 8 I'd have it down to perfection!!

I have food in the slowcooker to freeze in a bit and the kicthen to clean and wahsing to do and one child off nursery today.. because.. we have lost her shoes!! So I have to find those before we have to pick up at 3pm!! She is entertaining small fry though so I have more peace and quiet!!

I must find a box to keep these stray shoes in that are wriggling all over my floor and I have 3 bags to drop off at charity shop at some point today if I ever get out the door!

The washing is going in the dryers as it is raining.

Bon Jovi is extremely motivational this morning so that can go on LOUD in a moment and I'll set to!

    Have a great day!

    Hiya everybody,

TM - the HA's solicitor is just still causing problems. We've actually got to the point where they've emailed my solicitor saying "We're finally ready to exchange - please phone us" and now my solicitor can't get past their voicemail!    Given that I am hoping to move in a fortnight, I'm hoping things get going today or I'll start worrying that I won't be able to find removal men who are free! AussieLass and Catowen - thanks for the support :)

joannasmum - that's fab news, congratulations! I know you were hoping to be more financially secure before having another one, but it sounds like a blessing that had to happen NOW :D

Penny-Pincher!! - what a bargain on the duvet! I need a new one myself. Can you ask your OH if they had any more? (And was it the Charlton or the Bexleyheath branch of TK Maxx?)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get home to a domestic disaster this evening; we've got a leak by the stop-c0ck in the loft which has shorted out the bathroom light and extractor fan, and housemate isn't due home till late. Assuming no catastrophe, I'll be spending the evening packing boxes

    Love Rzl xx

    Morning All,
CONGRATULATIONS to Joannasmum (and dad!!!!) Super News:j
Have only skimmed the rest of the thread but please take a 23_28_121.gifif you are in need of one.

I've not been much in the OS frame of mind lately, make that any frame of mind TBH. I was prescribed some meds last week which ought to make a difference so am waiting for them to kick in, though even knowing I've got them know makes me feel a little better. Thanks to all of you who've PM'd me lately, all very much appreciated.

I am trying to get back into the swing of things now and spent yesterday at home with 3 kiddies. They played while I cleaned. I got out my Zoflora (still cant get hold of stardrops but LOVE Zoflora so its ok) and cleaned the kitchen, the bathroom, the kitchen floor, the oven and hob, the windows (inside and out) the mirrors and the tv. PHEW. I did make a big vege casserole in the SC but had meeting galore last night so dashed out of the house with a piece of toast in hand, will eat the casserole tonight.

Need to try and get the financial side of things organised pronto. Now that we are running 2 cars we need more than ever for me to be working. Add to that I contacted npower yesterday as I wanted to be sure my dd's were covering our usage. Of course they werent so our gas and leecy dd's have now doubled!!

I have had a money saving morning though, picked up a brita water filter and 3 brand new cartridges from freecycle this morning. Just what I was wanting a month ago but couldnt justify the spend so am happy.

Right, gotta dash, there's washing to be done before the preschool run.

    Love to all,
    Al.

PS-POSHPAWS, good on you for volunteering with the Breast Cancer Research, an excellent cause.

Have been trying to track down the funeral service that will be dealing with DH's best friend.
His "partner" is down south and is not answering her phone so it is difficult to know what is happening.
The dread of friends and neighbours is that no one will be told and he will be cremated with no one there!!!!

Eventually tracked down the right place and they have not got a definate date yet but say they will contact me - or I can ring them every few days.

There will NOT be an announcement put in the paper so we will try to phone round anothet couple of good friends of his and a neighbour and get them to pass the mesage on once we know more.
DD (17) is on school trip so it will be strange without her.

May make pizza for tea but feel "slumped in apathy" - hoping chatting on here will perk me up.

    Congratulations to joannasmum
