Well, I'm feeling really positive at the moment because I'm not in school tomorrow morning! :j :j I'm going to another school to watch an "Advanced Skills Teacher" teaching a literacy lesson....... Not only that, but I was supposed to be taking my class swimming. I'd got another teacher to take them, but tonight the head offered to take them :rotfl: Now, she blows hot and cold........ but she's ok really, if you're an adult. The children detest her and I can't help but feel slightly smug that the class don't actually know about it until they have their kit ready when they set off for the pool :rotfl: It should make for a quiet afternoon when I get back to school.
DH is back and has made supper. Ostrich burgers with new potatoes, peas and some salad. Mmmmmm! Not bad at all. I hope that he'll do the washing up too.
Last night we put the winter duvet on the bed. We bought one of those feather duvets in the summer in the Debenhams sale. One of them is a 4.5tog and the other is 9 tog for different seasons.......... together they make a very very toasty sleep experienceWe've also got a new duvet cover as one of our wedding presents, which is now looking very snug on our bed. It was such a lovely experience going to bed last night!
Anyway, time to go for now.

Morning everyone
A big fat cuddly
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Scuzz....
I hope you have a fabulous day and make sure those bosses of yours give you a bit of time to go and enjoy yourself.
I've been having a bit of a catch up on the home cleaning front. I had got terribly behind, however the kitchen is now nice and clean, and I've given the rest of the house a really good vacuuming. There are still lots of things to do, but the worst is done. I don't think I'll have time tonight as I don't finish w*** until 7.00 pm. I really want to go for a walk afterwards, even if only for half an hour or so. I would have walked yesterday but I trooped off to B&Q to try and get some of their £10 rugs. They had mountains of rugs all mixed up and I dithered for ages as it was hard to tell what price applied to which rug. In the end I asked a member of staff and he nearly laughed his leg off at me.... seems the staff had managed to buy all but two of the £10 rugs within minutes of their price being lowered. That was a wasted journey and waste of time.
I hope everyone is well and in good spirits. Have a lovely Tuesday everyone.

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 7th Nov. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.0 -
Goodmorning Snowy & all to follow,
I have been pretty choked up with the flu today and DH has given me the day off. Caught up with a few phone calls this morning & just off to plow through the mountain of paper work. Need to pay a few bills online as well. I just watched the Melbourne Cup and my horse came first. :j Won the princely amount of $20.
Got a chook in the SC for tea tonight. Well I better get back to work. No little magic fairies here to do it for me. Been a hot day here. Rained last night so more rain must be around. The ants are about so that's usually a sign. Hope you all have a lovely Tuesday and ((((hugs)))))) to those that need them. Byeeeeeeeee
Happy Birthday Scuzz. Knew I forgot something.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0
