    Afternoon all!

Im still sniffly etc so I did call in sick this morning, and have so far done squat around the house. Ive watched a bit of TV, had a nap, and OH has taken care of me. He's currently out at Tesco finding some nice easy food.

Im feeling a touch better now though and think I might attempt a flylady style cleaning session, just doing little bursts at a time with lots of blackcurrant tea breaks in between.

Ive finished my library books and might go to the library this afternoon if I can muster the energy. Aside from that, its all quiet!

    Have a good one all!

  • Hi everyone :hello:

Well, everyone seems to be having a very busy day today. I am no exception. I got up early today and did 100 sit-ups then went swimming - could only manage 10 lengths as time was against me - did my paid-to-clicks, checked bank account and e-mails, made lunch and fruit salad for later. And all of this was done before 8.00! :j

Got some real bargains at Asda yesterday - a lunch-size salad, two large punnets of mushrooms, one pack of mediterranean vegetables and one pack of the "extra special" hasselback potatoes - all for £1. Now what can I do with all these mushrooms? :D

Seem to have lots of appointments this week. Poor DS is having two teeth extracted on Wednesday in preparation for his brace-fitting. He has to have four teeth taken out - 2 on each side. The appointments are one week apart. He is NOT looking forward to it (neither am I if I am honest _pale_ ) Neither DS not DD have ever had any dental work done so this will be a shock for him. Lots of TLC needed - even if he is 14 and 5' 10".

Hope everyone is having a great day.

  • Afternoon Again:D

I'm bored! Have just finished watching The Sentinel and was quite good.

OH has been busy around the back garden and generally tidying up. The grass needs one last chop before the winter sets in too much. The clothes have mostly dried but needed a re-shuffle on the line to get direct sun as its quite cold out and wasnt drying in the shade:rolleyes: I sat out in the garden for 20 mins whilst OH was working;)

Dinner is prepared and the chicken is in the oven as I write. Forgot we had some sprouts that needed using too, so have done loads of veg but whatever is left will be used in the next 2 days in a bubble & squeak with enough portions to freeze.

The car is going in for its 1st service tomorrow, so the garage are supplying one for us as I have to go to another appointment-then if Im up for it...wouldnt mind going to the nearest large Tesco and seeing if we can find any R&R's. Will make sure the scooter is fully charged:D

    Later!

Oh No - WM is broken, - OH changed the fuse this morning thinking it was that, he popped back at lunchtime to let the dog out, and said its stopped half way thru the cycle. He will look at it later, if not, Will have to call the engineer out again.

Still cant access the photo's of baby charlie - can anyone help.

Just ironed uniforms for 2mr (school/work), not had chance for cuppa yet, so will have that after the school run.

    Catch you all later peeps
Enjoy the rest of the afternoon
    Lots of love as usual

    :j :j Banner Day!!!!! :j :j

It's a year today since part of my world collapsed and I've marked it by beginning another new chapter in my life :j  :j Finally took a step I'd been wanting to take, but was wary of (daft, but there ya go!) and boy am I soooooooo glad I did :T :T :T

On top of that, I've decluttered 14 drawers, yes, FOURTEEN, trying to find my passport that I'd put away somewhere *safe* and for the life of me couldn't find it (it's been a really scatty year!) so now I can take up my friends offer to spend time at their cottage in France :j And if that wasn't enough for one day ... I've even located all my Tesco vouchers which I thought I'd mistakenly thrown away!!!
    Wooooohoooooooo!!! :j  :j  :j

    <
drinks are on ME tonight :rotfl: :rotfl:

A huge THANK YOU to a most special MSE'er for her encouragement, support and getting me through the past 12mths and setting me on the road for the next 12mths and .... beyond! She knows who she is ;)((((big fat one's)))) Methinks my family will be eternally grateful too ;):D:D:D

 It's great when a plan comes together

No apologies for my excitement or selfish thinking in this post, I soooo wanted to share some good news :D:D:D:D

If I can brush some of this off on to any of you ... *brush-brush* ... there ya go - enjoy!
