morning All
Didn't have a very good night sleep. Very tired at the mo. DS woke up this morning feeling a little better, so he can go to school after all.
DD excited about handing her party invites out 2day,
Fuse has gone in the WM, so Im waiting for OH to change that b4 going to work, so I can get it on.
Off to the hospital later, OH's grandad had a heart attack on Saturday. He's fine, but still in the High Dependancy Unit, till they move him to the ward. It was only approx 6months ago, he had a mild stroke. And whilst being in the hospital he fell and broke his arm. Cos a nurse left him un-attended in the bathroom!!!
Must catch up with making calls after work, tell WTC Ive got a new job, phone school and check out the after school clubs. as work want me to change hrsPhone our local special need school and re-schedule my job interview. Ive been putting all of these of all week now.
WM now on - so will jump in the shower and get the kids off to school.
Catch you all later peeps

Morning all
Well after my promises on Friday I did manage to get a fair bit done over the weekend but I'm still not back at full speed.
Didn't want to come to w**k today I think the weather is playing a major part and to be honest I want to get things sorted in the house. The problem is when I'm there I don't want to do anything :rotfl: :rotfl:
Anyway, I cooked a lovely roast yesterday (only our 3rd one ever) and I must admit it's getting better. Still not as good as my mums but you know what they say!
Whilst I'm on the cooking subject I told OH yesterday that we are having curry for tea tonight made from a jar sauce he loves - to which he sulked for about 15mins telling me the fresh one I made last week was better and why couldn't we have that. I did try and explain that we are using everything up to which I was told "that sucks". Let me remind you this is my husband and not a child we are talking about!!! MEN
Plans for this evening is cleaning (yes again!), taking a load of unwanted books that can't be e-bayed to the charity shop and then finally listing some more stuff on e-bay.
As always take or leave the :grouphug: as neededYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Good morning everyone
i am doing well getting on the pc before school run and work!!
Anyway I am trying to get my parking fine dropped today! Yep I have set myself a challenge as I made an honest mistake getting my ticket (underpaid by 20p and the machine let me!) so have written a letter which I will hand deliver after work and hope they will see my case and let me off the £30 if not at least I have tried. I was going to just pay it but I thought it is not money saving at all just to write out a cheque without trying at least!
Otherwise DH has gone back to bed (not working at the mo anyway) and I have washing machine on and have packed lunches packed! So off we go.
Have great days everyone and hope to catch up later...watch this space for the parking update!!

Morning all :hello:
It's foggy here. I was just watching the cars go by, they have their fog lights on. As my bike doesn't have fog lights I will be riding on the path. And if people don't like it then
Feeling a bit fed up, I'm going to have to choose between my job and my biz soon. The biz wins - I love it but I work for a good friend. His office was a mess and I've sorted it, there's a proper routine and I've ironed out lots of bits and pieces that were costing too much, and saved him some money. I feel like I'm saying 'there ya go, I've sorted you out, I'm off'. Trouble is, last week he was talking about upping my hours
I've saved really hard and there's 4 months mortgage money in the bank - I'm not daft enough to think I'm going to make the same as my wages to start withI'll be there for at least another 3 months, I think I'll start dropping hints..............

:j Morning morning!:j
Again, you guys amaze me at your energy and dedication to this site at such unearthly hours of the day! Off to work very shortly for a meeting with the boss and monthly supervision. She always buys lunch when we do this so hopefully I can count on the same for today (not that I feel like eating)! Then we are off to a manager's meeting in the afternoon and tea and biccies (out of a packet) are provided.
The flat is looking ok and no great need for any housework. WM still dead, so the piles of dirty washing are growing but not much I can do about that until tomorrow when I go into work. At least the drying and ironing pile isn't growing as it usually does!
Not sure about dinner, still not feeling 100% and have only been managing to keep the thin watery packet soups down.
Need to try and get a birthday present for the guy in my life... has only been a few weeks so am cautious not to get anything too personal or coupley... thinking hats on please!
Have a productive day, wherever you are and whatever you do
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Morning chums ,
a bright but chilly day here in the garden of England .Hope all who have had a bad night get some rest today and have a peaceful one. had a good weekend with two fireworks do's one on saturday at my youngest DDs and the second one locally to where I live last night . Went to an auction at Bobbing locally yeasterday and bout a few bargains .Didn't spend a great deal but enjoyed myself .Took one of my grandsons and mucles to help lift things into the car he is 11 and wangled two PS2 games out of me from the auction that he assured me at £9.00 were a bargain. Got a huge box of 25 videos films most of which I haven't seen for £2.00 great for when the weather gets bad and I can't get out Also bought a box of kitchen bits for £2.00 there were 12 linen teatowels brand new a almost new meat slicer (the ones with the big handle on the side ) and a lovely big marble bread/meat/pastry board that will go nicely in my kitchen .Great for making pastry as it will keep it cold .Eldest DD got a LloydLoom linen box and a silver plated teaset with teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl plus 6 small coasters and 6 large ones for her dinner plates all for £6.00. It was definately a great bargain hunt .
Off to hempstead vally this morning to look at the shops to try and get inspiration for Chistmas ,have a great day everyone and those in need here's a (((hug)))0 -
Asked OH what he fancied for tea....and he said 'surprise me'. So the surprise is that nothing is coming out of the freezer. We still have some nice bread left, and some minestrone around...so that will do. I do have some pastry in the freezer, so may suprise with a jam roley....but usually after soup and a pile of bread we're completely stuffed. So if I'm in the mood I may bake a few cakes instead.
Bad night's sleep last night. Kept waking up every couple of hours. I feel completely knackered....but can't doze off again. With luck it'll mean I'll sleep well tonight. Oddly last night I felt really uncomfortable and horrid...but this morning walking around I feel perfectly fine. In fact better than fine (except for the tired head).
At the weekend we did quite a bit of shopping on both Sat and Sun finishing off my hospital bags. We also did the baby washing, so I should be able to sort that all out properly today (if I can be bothered)Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.

Morning all!
Got the children off to school just in time!!! Really have to be more organised in the evenings as I spend half the morning asking where they've thrown their clothes, where their games stuff is, where their bags are etc...then realised on the way to school daughter has forgotten to do her homework...oops!
However in the light of being more organised (and hopefully saving money and eating well) I've just done a meal plan for the first time in months!!! Just writing down everything I need for it and then I can work out what I have to buy so I don't double as usual.
Then I need to get into the tall cupboard and start writing down what's in there as I don't have a clueI will hopefully emerge triumphant at the end!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
SPC2 #571 - trying to get as much as possible0 -
:grouphug: to all this morning
Haven't had time to read the whole thread yet, I'm too busy shivering in this damn office! My Doctor told me that "1 out of 3 people who start smoking will eventually die." The other two apparently became immortal.
