Good morning all!
Happy birthday Scuzz
It's a bit of a dull foggy morning here. I think I will put the washing out shortly - don't know if it'll get any drier though. Worth a try!
Bathroom cleaned, but not much else yet.
I didn't sleep well last night, as I had toothache. The strange thing is, this morning it hardly hurts at all. I was going to ring the dentist first thing & book an emergency appointment, but now I think I will wait & see if it gets better on its own. The tooth is one that was filled last month, so in theory it should be ok. Anyway, if it get worse again I will ring up.
I think I may have got myself a job. The cleaner at our church recently gave up the job, & a few people, including me, have done it as volunteers. So I suggested I could replace the cleaner (who was paid) and hopefully that will be ok. It's about 4 hours a week, and I would be in charge of choosing when I work, so that means I can have a little bit of much-needed extra income but still be available to visit DD & family, and also be around to home-ed DS.
And just think - all that Flylady training!!!! I wouldn't even have thought about doing such a job before! Now all I have to do is to divide the place into flylady zones!!!
Have a good day everyone!
(((hugs))) to PP and anyone else in need of them.0 -
Morning Everyone
Happy Birthday Scuzz xx Wish I was 23 again!
Not so cold here today and no fog which is a good sign, it feels more autumnal today than winter.
Didn't get much done yesterday as was late home from w*** but I am doing well with the storecupboard challenge. The freezer is looking decidedly empty and I won't be filling it up before we go off on hols.
B - Cereal Bar & Tea
L - Egg Mayo Sandwich
D - Something out the freezer!
Have a good day everyone xxIts nice to be important but more important to be nice!0 -
Morning all.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCUZZ
DD at morning school and DS at nursery. I have some time for me! Am going to clean bathroom and bedrooms. Have to put WM on.
Not sure what dinner will be tonight - need to have a sort out in freezer and get something out I think, prob with HM bread.
Lots of things finishing on Ebay this morning so hopefully -if paid- will be packing those up later! All helps in the run up to Christmas. I put on the kids winter things from last year and I still have lots of toys to put on, so will get that started once the clothes are all posted off.
Have a good day everyone - I'm off to have a coffee and slice of lemon drizzle cake before I do anything!

Happy Birthday Scuzz-have a lovely day
at work bright and early today. It's our standby day, when we scan women who have volunteered to help with our breast imaging project.
had OS evening, cooking my veggie box contents. Have lots of veggie soup and made saag paneer as well. So that's lunch and tea taken care of, and the rest for the freezer.0 -
Morning all!
Feeling really fed up with PMS this week. Im hoping my night sweats are a sign of imminent menopause. I was wondering if the doctor could give me a test to tell me if it was or not. Then this morning an advert came on tv for a home testing kit you can buy from Boots! They must have known I wanted one!
Puppy Pug has jumped on my daughter who was drinking her coffee on the sofa and spilt it, luckily all over the throw and not on the sofa itself. This means Ive got extra washing to do this morning. Never mind, at least it isn't on the chair. Making homemade chilli for my tea today and hoping the weather will be nice so that I can take the dogs for a run down the park at some point.
Have a good day everyone! :wave:0 -
Morning all:hello: and a very happy birthday to Scuzz and Catowen's nan:bdaycake:
Well i'm having a busy day. One load of washing already done and I'm halfway through defrosting the freezer in readiness for Christmas food and also prep for a dinner I'm having for friends next week. This will help wash the floor :rotfl: Going to get going with the hoover and vinegar spray in a moment.
Had a wonderful weekend with DS20 who came down from uni to visit, we went to see Borat and took him (DS not Borat!) out for a non-OS but delicious Indian meal. I cooked a leg of lamb for lunch on Sunday (his favourite) together with apple crumble and custard. Baked him a batch of muffins to take back up with him in case he was still hungry :rotfl:
The council are resurfacing the pavements and roads outside my house so I'm stuck indoor until they've finished  oh well, good excuse to get some cooking/housework done.
Breakfast: crumpets
Lunch: HM soup and roll
Dinner: Chicken casserole
Have a great day everyone.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCUZZ
Yuck Tuesdays are horrible. They always feel so far away from the weekend. I'm always more depressed on Tuesday.
Promised OH I'd clean the kitchen last night. Completely forgot. I have a feeling there's going to be "words" when I get homeMy Doctor told me that "1 out of 3 people who start smoking will eventually die." The other two apparently became immortal.

Good Morning All
Happy Birthday Scuzz
Brrr its cold here mist is just clearing. Too much info for some but I had my smear test this morning and it was freezing in the nurses room - made it much harder to relax - as if you can:rotfl:
Anyway thats done and dusted now hopefully. WM on and that washing will be dried and ironed today. House does need a little tidy up but its my main admin day so will be getting on with that. I do need to pop out to Asda later but will do so after lunch so wont be tempted by cakes and suchlike.
Grilled pork chops with roasted veg later.
Have a great day.0 -
Happy Happy Birthday!!!
:bdaycake: <
Don't think there's quite enough candles on that cake for your nan, catowen!
Just had the electrician here after our hot water conked out a few days ago (it's true what they say about you don't know what you've got until it's gone!!!) - the timer is faulty, and the E7 thermostat is completely burnt out, so we've been using super-expensive leccy since we moved in. Anyway, he's coming back tomorrow with all the necessary bits, and *hopefully* our bill should go down when it all works correctly - I'll also have a manual for our water timer and be able to set it for the proper E7 times.
Today, I need to go the fabric store - I realised last night that our bedroom curtains aren't actually lined - no wonder its freezing in there - so am going to go and pick up some lining and do them. I also want to get started on the Christmas stockings. Possibly go to Lidl/Morrisons at some point - definantly need to get cracking with my food hampers!!
Breakfast - Porridge
Lunch - Soup and Sandwich
Tea - Pea and Prawn RisottoWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Hi everyone :j Wow you lot are early risers!
I haven't posted on the daily thread before but I've been so inspired by the OS threads in the last few days that I thought I'd join in.
I managed to get loads done yesterday after work and I'm hoping to continue that today, I've got a load of washing in at the moment and I'll have another one in later today (when I get home). I'd cleaned all of the downstairs floors and then the dog came back into the house this morning with muddy paws so it was a complete waste of time!
I've sorted out my dd's cupboards and wardrobe but now I have a load more stuff to put on ebay! lol I hope to sort our wardrobes this weekend as it's going to be a big job :rotfl:
I also sorted out the majority of my paperwork and did my finances.
Food wise, it's just DD and me at home until Thursday when bf returns.
Porridge - Breakfast
Bean and tuna salad - Lunch
Dinner will probably be sausage & mash
