Not such a bright morning, but dry, thermometer says ists 21 in the house, so the heating is not on.....

Have dusted up stairs, will go down and get the hoover in a mo and do the carpets and down the stairs....... might also get the living room done.

Spag bol for supper tonight, so have to cook the sauce, usually like to leave it standing overnight, but forgot to take the mince out yesterday.........need to crush some garlic, pounding with the pestle is good for working off anger, so might wait until I see whats in the post this morning LOL!!!!!!

Slow cooker has just been filled with a mixture that can be turned into either Shepherd's pie with sausages or spag bol and have chopped up ingredients for egg fried rice as well as there will be six of us for tea.

DH is going to drive me to Asda so I can look for mini shampoo etc for DD who is going on a school trip tomorrow.

    Have a good day

    Happy Birthday Scuzz!

    Happy birthday Scuzz,

You are the same age as my DD!!!!

Lost another pound at WW last night (it was nearly 1.5 but the scale wavered back, never mind it'll give me a jump start on next week).

Need to finish some coursework tonight but then plan to do a few Christmas cards while watching the football.

  • Morning everyone :hello:

Haven't acheived as much as I did yesterday morning - mainly because I had a diabetic podiatry assessment first thing this morning so had to make sure my tootsies were fresh, fragrant and as presentable as possible. I was still assessed as a medium risk though because I have some hard skin under my toes and on the balls of my feet. So, i will be getting an appointment soon for that to be dealt with. In the meantime I will keep using moisturiser on it to see if that helps.

After my appointment I went into town and got those baskets from Wilkinsons that have been mentioned on the Xmas forum. Three lined wicker baskets - two square ones for £1.49 each and an oval one for £0.99. So pleased as they look really good. Oval one will be used for DDs Christmas as I have been saving lots of samples of perfume, moisturiser, shampoo, conditioner, etc so she gets a lovely hamper that cost me next to nothing. Will use the other two for my nieces' birthdays next year.

OK time to go and get some work done.

Happy Birthday to Scuzz and Cat's Nan!!! Have a good day everybody.

I got them too! They are great aren't they :T They will look lovely when I find stuff to put in them. They had virtually sold out in our Wilki's so I'm going back to get some more soon!

    Morning everyone :)

 Happy Birthday Scuzz enjoy your day!

Ds has gone beack to school today, he is much better. DD has had a new experience this morning and had her first hot water bottle, she was a bit wary of it at first but is now walking around with it clutched to her tummy. Wish I'd got one for myself now! Good excuse not to put the heating on but it is so cold I might give in.

DD and I are about to go upstairs and do some wrapping for christmas, she loves it and I need to keep going with it. Can't believe how many christmas adverts there are now, I received a letter from ds's school saying that the "C" word was banned until the 1st december! At least they have a sense of humour about things!

Before we pick ds up from school I am off to Boots, I have £42 worth of points and I want to go in and work out how best to use them. I have never used them before, have just been saving them for ages and obviously want to get the best value for money that I can.

Dinner tonight is chicken legs and some butternut squash from mum and dad's garden roasted with sage and a brocolli bake.

Have a good day everyone and hugs to all :).

:hello: Good day to my fellow OS'ers :D:D:D

    Welcome melt71
:bdaycake: Many Happy Returns to scuzz and Nana Cat :bdaycake:

Productive morning in QueenieLand - made a dozen cherry & almond scones, a dozen gooey chocolate brownies - boiled my black beans ready for using in meals/freezing.

The Zoflora spray bottle worked a speedy treat to wipe down the bathroom and kitchen this morning (including the tiles), one wash load washed, another one now dried.

Have Spanish tonight, so I need to put in a bit of revision and then after that, it's a race from one block to another and 3 staircases for my first PTA AGM - first meeting at all to be honest  Spanish ends at 1930hrs and the AGM begins at .... 1930rhs!! The exercise will do me good I suppose :D

Using the advice from Organised Christmas, I've drawn up my final lists based on what's in the gift cupboard, timescales, needs/wants/wishlists and have already broken my card lists down into 5ths taking into account last Christmas posting dates no mean feat!
I've yet to draw up the final plan to the making of the gifts still outstanding but I have organised which time pocket will be set aside for wrapping. Overjoyed to learn that the ornaments I'd made for a Christmas Ornament Exchange arrived safe and sound and now eagerly anticipate the Secret Santa return box :j

Now I need to put my Spanish head on .. but not until I've had a cuppa and those gooey brownies are just begging to be tasted  ... just to make sure they are cooked correctly, of course :o:)

Tightwad Tuesday greetings to all :D and ((hugs)) for those who want/need them :)
