Well stomped off to post office today to post Ebay parcels and after postage I made £40. I am well chuffed except it did seem to take a lot of organising and I listed a number of things that did not sell.
Wrapped up some Xmas pressies and looked at what I had got and decided who would get what. (Probably the wrong way round but I get stuff then decide who will get the benefit). Have made up some hampers but I am not sure if I should wrap the contents as well as getting something to hold the hamper together. What do others do????
Have had a joint of beef in the SC since this morning. I always cook everything all day on auto for as long as it takes until I need it.
Have done 3 loads of washing but have had to TD it!!!! boo hoo.
The fuse has gone to the upstairs lighting ring and I am sure that the kids think I have done it on purpose to save money. I just can't reach the fuses and DH is not home til later.
Hugs and birthday wishes to all who need them/want them.

I feel too young to be 43, if you know what I mean......and you are definitely way too young to be in your 60's!

Evening everyone :hello:
Happy birthday scuzz :j :j
Today has been pretty awful again. I got told by the head that due to the lack of support that the school has to offer for a newly qualified teacher, then I may fail.I cried all the way home. If I leave at Christmas then I won't and I could finish the NQT year in a different, more supportive school. I'm absolutely devastated and I met with the NQT support lady for the area and she thinks that the head is being incredibly rubbish - but trying to push me out.
DH is seeking the advice of a former head who is the father of a friend of ours, so hopefully it will be a little clearer. Again! This will be about the three-millionth time that we've talked about this and come to a conclusion.....
In an OS type way, we're having spag bol tonight for supper - all the way from the freezer! :j :j I suppose we'll just have to pull our belts in mega-tight now.
I'll take my misery elsewhere

Hello, all!
Happy Birthday to Scuzz and Cat's Nan!
Welcome to Melt - love your sig! That's how I feel, often.
Dorry, can you PM me the link about perimenopause, too?
When's Shez back, anyone know? Mr Shez is the only person I've met on here who's interested in The Archers, and it's a biggie storyline coming to a head this evening.
Cat, I tried to get a goose form Lidl, but none there. Don't think they've had them at all. pity, I'd got recipes lined up.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Thanks for the reminder.
Used to listen to the archers religiously when I was in my keen running phase (running and listening to the radio). Prob won't manage tonight - but I'll be sure to listen on sunday. (Should be going to Yoga but I've missed a term and can't be bothered)

vicky---- ((((big hugs)))), is it awfull, he sounds like a right bully. I know how upseting situations like this can be. in my last 50 days on placement before i qualified, i was being bullied by the team manager, she tried her best to intimidate me and get rid of me. i cried for 3 days before i stood up to her, it was an experience that i would not like to repeat.
don't let him push you out, you have every right to be there, you have worked so hard for this, you stand your ground and don't make it easy for him!!!!!!'If you judge people, you have no time to love them'

evening all!
This don't warrant its own thread but I normally use 4 bananas to make a banana loaf or banana muffins. I only have 2 that NEED cooking before they go too far!
Help!
What can I make, or is anyone good at giving reduced baking ingredient amounts?!
I have the usual basic baking ingredients!
Thanks
