  • Hi all
Very pleased with what ive done today considering ive been out all day, also massively impressed with dh.

he finished off the washing up before going out to uni and tried to tidy the living room too, made it so i had to wrestle in through the front door when i got home by leaving my gym ball in the tiny hallway but i cant complain!

as for me, i set tea up in the slow cooker before i went out this morning, sausage, beans, veg and herbs in slow cooker all day, did a double portion so dont need to cook it next tuesday either. when i got in i made the mash to top it off with and then made some fairy cakes and made up the dough for some biscuits which is in the fridge overnight now. made some of the fairy cakes blue for dd, think shell like that.

have finally accepted i need a stool in the kitchen if im gonna be able to keep on cooking and stuff which is a big milestone for me, ive got arthritis and a curved spine which make standing for too long hard but being 22 its kinda hard to admit to myself i really cant do it all without putting things in place to help. so off to argos for this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6000011.htm next week unless i find something thatll do the job at one of the christmas sales over the weekend.

got loads of time for housework tomorrow so expect a huge list in the morning! hope you have all had a good day.

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 22 Nov. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well

    Morning everyone

And a big Happy Birthday to KiwiChick....have a fantastic day KiwiChick, spoil yourself rotten...

It's my "late" shift at that "W" place today...1.30 pm until 9.30 pm, so while I am up having a bowl of porridge right now, I am going to take it easy for a good few hours yet so that I don't get too tired later. This shift isn't brilliant, but with a little discipline I manage to get bits of housework done so that I come home to an acceptably tidy house.

Things are very quiet and mundane in my house these days, I really don't have anything out of the ordinary to share. I hope this is the lull before the (good) storm and that I get really busy again in the New Year.

    Have a great day everyone

Good Morning Snowy Piixxy Dlb and anyone else who is stirring this fine November morning.
Actually the weather here in South yorkshire Land is quite yuk, but I'm feeling sparky today.
Got to form a letter to parents about a trip to the National Space Centre, feed puppy, have breakfast, pack lunch (Ham sandwich on HM bread spread with organic cheese + fruit & HM bun) think out evening meal and swish downstairs bathroom & check for washloads.
Also in the middle of a power point presentation on the moon to start the class's poems on moon rocks (pebbles £1 per bag from Au Naturel) 1 word per rock in case you're wondering how little work my class do. Got a visitor in my class all day and have to print off my assembly so I really don't have time to hang around, just wanted to say hi since I'm back on line.
    Love to all

  • Morning OSers :hello:

    Happy Birthday Kiwichick! :bdaycake:

I'm a bit bog-eyed this morning. Slept on the sofa because Mr Watcher has been taking anti-biotics and it's too cold to sleep with the bedroom windows open

DS1 has his 'nose in the trough', but DD2 in still sound asleep. Dogs are in the garden in the dark (which is quite amazing because Fat Bob the ginger pup is scared of the dark :o )

Did a lot of work last night for OH's business - it really scrambled my brain. It's a long while now since I had a desk based job. I was so tired I couldn't remember how to do simple percentages. Oh the embarrassement :(

OS tasks for today. The main one is to make a proper meal. Was poorly at the weekend so OH cooked (the kitchen has almost recovered). OH & kids had 'freezer surprise' for tea on Monday and Tuesday as I still can't face food. Today however the appetite is back with a vengeance  Oh no run and hide :D

Immediate tasks are to de-duvet DD2, unload and reload DW and WM, surface clean the kitchen and make the packed lunches. Depending on the weather I think I'll take the dogs to the reservoir after the school run.

Have a great day everyone (((((hugs)))))

    xx
