  • Morning all :D

Well the weekend in London was fab. Got to see Wicked which was amazing and meet up with some friends, do some shopping etc... All in all a great weekend.

I find the only problem with going away for weekends is that all the stuff you normally do gets moved into the week, so at the moment I have a mountain of washing to do, cleaning, filing, sending e-bay stuff etc...

So plan of action for today is go home from w**k and start on the washing as it's now at critical stage (i.e. I'm running out of clean clothes  )

On a bad note as well the car has to go to the garage this evening as I got in it on Monday night and I was paddling in the drivers footwell

    Anyway, back to it.

:bdaycake::bdaycake: Happy Birthday Kiwichick :bdaycake: :bdaycake:

  • Good morning everyone

    Happy birthday Kiwichick congrats.gif

Not a bad night here, got to sleep just before 1am and woke up about 8am, which is really good for me, I am not normally asleep till 8am :rotfl:

Might nip into town today get a few xmas prezzies and also nip into M&S and see if they have any jobs going, need to put an old mobile phone on ebay, and some underwear I bought that doesn't fit, so that will pay for the kids xmas prezzies and a trip to santa in the shopping center.

Just settled down with a brew for me a bubba, then I am going to raid DSs room, he has 3 school jumpers, and now we are all of a sudden down to one  might even find some socks under there

Bit of a boring day really, but its best when its too cold to get out of bed. :D

Hope you all have the best day possible.

You know what, everytime I see you right the word w**k, another word always goes through my head first :o

    love wanty xxxx

    another day off for me!:j

am having a haircut later then plan to dye it at home but first I have to go and check on my old gent who is poorly in bed with a tummy bug.

Plans for this afternoon are to make several lasagnes for the freezer and one for tomorrows tea and then am having a final coffee with my mate before she moves away to West Bromwich.

DS2 has his year 10 GCSE exam today which counts as 40% of his proper GCSE exam in year 11.Fingers crossed he does ok.

Better get a move on.Have a great day all, will catch you later.

Morning everyone! Shant be on here so much now its the run up to Christmas otherwise I will get nothing done! I need to have a clear out in our bedroom and put old stuff such as books up in the attic, as well as sorting out the kitchen cupboards. I did one yesterday and its amazing what things you forget you have got!

I was saying to OH that I would love to re-decorate our bedroom before Christmas but its going to be a big job because we need to swap cupboards around as well as wallpapering and painting. So I don't think we're going to have time before Christmas and we should really wait until the sales to buy wallpaper and a carpet. As if to rub it in I have noticed our neighbours are redecorating their main bedroom! Not only that but they have got a painter and decorator in to do it! I wish we could afford that!!!

    B: Toast with HM bread
L: Jacket potato with HM Chilli Con Carne
D: Don't know! Have to be at a parents evening and so can't cook at the same time!!! :(

    Have a good day!

    Happy birthday Kiwichick.

Today is a big day for us. My new little family is off to register the little one's birth. She'll no longer be an 'illegal immigrant' as my family joked at the weekend. Its another landmark day and I can't wait.

We had a reasonable night again with Lily waking every 3-4 hours. She is gradually increasing her feed amounts as well. Started out at birth at around 25ml....and now we're at around 45ml. And we're almost back to our birth weight so the midwives have started to talk about discharging me already.

As for oldstyle activities....we washed a bunch of her clothes last night. Its amazing the amount of washing that they create. If I get the time and the energy I might also bake a few cakes. I've not decided on a victoria sponge type thing, or fairy cakes yet....but I have to wake up first.
Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.

    Hiya PiixxySu and everyone else

My meat and potatoe pie is so straight forward and cheap and easy.( cooking at our house has to be cheap on very tight budget at min!!! lol)

Boil potatoes, and chop up 2 tins of corned beef, add them in layers into pie dish, put some mixed herbs in aswell (sometimes put boiled onion in to if kids not eating it) Then cover in gravy. Them make shortcrush pastry for top.
Serve with yorkshire puds and baby peas YUMMYYYYYY.

We prefer corned beef to chunks of stewing steak but you can use any meat really.

    Hope that helps PiixxySu

    Happy birthday Kiwichick!

Been really busy recently applying for jobs. Still not got anything and it's only a week to go now! Arragh!

OH cheerfully announced last night that his friends are coming over to stay in our house for the weekend. Totally stressed out I need more notice than that! Will be spending most of my free time cleaning!

    (((HUGS))) to all.

  • Good morning all!

    13_10_1.gif Kiwichick!! Hope it's a good one!

Belated Happy Birthday to Chipps! 12_4_21.gif( Will a nice big slice of chocolate cake do?)

Well done on the win catowen, make sure you buy a lottery ticket, you might be on a roll, things are supposed to come in threes. Have you noticed they've reduced the points for some of the vouchers? 2000 points will get you £20 worth of Boots or (my favs) John Lewis/Waitrose ones.

Didn't wake up until just gone 8am so I'm all behind today. Not much OS happening in my house, but DIL wants me back over there so will do some in their house. Baby is a total delight, DGS1 is showing the green eyed monster!!! Swings from pleasure in baby to total jealousy! Still , perfectly normal behaviour for a 3 year old. Bound to have his nose put out of joint after so long being the centre of attention.

Doorbell just went and I've just had a lovely bouquet and bottle of champagne delivered!!!! From my DH's sister and family. This is the way to go. DIL does all the hard work and we get flowers and champagne!!! We are so lucky!

Well I must run, there's just so much to do (and I've barely started Christmas, and have to buy for about 40! ) Like beachbeth, I'm going to have to severely restrict my time on here, or we'll be celebrating Christmas in February!!

Hope all the ill one's are feeling better soon, (((((hugs)))) to those with sadness in their lives and big:D :D:D to us blessed with happiness!!

    Take care
