  • Happy Birthday Kiwichick!!!! :j

I'm feeling really fed up today. I am off sick (again) as my gall bladder is infected (again) and when I went to the GPs on Monday she took one look at me and said I shouldn't be out of bed and gave me antibiotics. Well, I was being sick all thursday and friday at work. I'm meant to be resting but I've just done all the washing up from last night (why is it men can't wash the pots when they make the dinner?) and will be putting the washing on soon. Because I've not been emptying the laundry basket all week it's not so much a basket as a volcano...... Then I've had to hunt around for a telephone number for my boss who I do the private work for (they deleted the e-mail I sent them with it on) and fortunately I still have it on my 'phone rather than having to ring in work and ask somebody to look through my shorthand pad - i laughingly suggested I do this last night when they rang (9.30) and they said "oh if you don't mind"..... I'm just a bit fed up at the moment as I'm feeling tres unwell and yet don't get cut any slack. In a bit I will be having to go and collect in the avon books I put out at weekend as well - still, it's only across the road and one person has already rung their order through (so that made me feel nice for a few minutes as they're a new customer). Sometimes it's like I'm just the skivvy for the world............. still, at least I can get some chilli out of the freezer for dinner and do some rice with it so that'll be minimal washing up for me tomorrow :rotfl: Right, I'm off to buy Mr Rage his Christmas Present (I Claudius from Amazon - cheaper than Play.com - for once - and free delivery too. Result!)
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Goodmorning everybody,

My post just dissappeared :confused:so back to square one.

Happy Birthday Kiwi 16_10_10.gifEnjoy your day. :D
Well done Cat. :T I've had a busy day at the house. DH & I did the bulk heads in the kitchen. Bet you don't know what they are. I didn't either before I started. :D It's this box section that goes on the ceiling over my bench tops. We are putting down lights in them which shine on the benchtops. Took the whole day to do.

Came home and made a banana loaf & another mulberry coconut slice which both turned out nice. Day off the house for me tomorrow :j DGS here.
I'm not even thinking about Xmas yet. I think I have one present squirreled away for DGS. I really need to send the O Seas cards off. Of course all the lovely ones I bought cheaply after last Xmas are packed away. I thought I"d be in the house well and truly before Xmas. I wished I kept them out now.

Off to have a shower & veg out. Have a lovely day & (((((hugs)))) to all. Byeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

so far this morning ive baked a batch of cookies and got the pork in the slow cooker for tea tonight, still feels odd saying ive started tea at this time in the morning! took my blood pressure which is sitting firmly in the ideal bracket, will see what reading my midwife gets when i go, going out soon as were due there at 10.50. i had pre eclampsia with my dd and they seem adamant ill have it again so im keeping my own track of it for peace of mind too.

when i get home, probably wont be till lunch time, ill make some lunch. get some soup on clean the living room and the bathroom and sophies bedroom, those are my aims for today, if i manage that ill be really pleased. once ive done that lot if i have any energy ill have a look and see what i can do in the kitchen and then the joys of ironing and coursework tonight!!

basically the aim is to have a tidy, clean house by the time i go to bed and a lot of my ou course out of the way, im seriously behind but cant study when sophies around. will bake some more biscuits if i have the chance too.

long day ahead again, oh and a tutorial tonight 6.30-8

Penny-Pincher - Good luck to your OH. Hope everything goes smoothly

Beachbeth Your neighbours probably *can't* afford to redecorate!

Well, thanks to catowens timely reminder, I think I shall also be going to the big Sainsurys to stock up on bargains. Have to apply for more jobs as well - OH shouted at me yesterday. Any spare time I will be listing items on Ebay

    Breakfast: Toast
Lunch: Twice-Baked Jacket stuffed with bacon, mushrooms, peppers and onions
Dinner: Dependant on what I pick up from Sainsburys - if nothing good it will be chicken casserole I think. If lots of veggies, probbaly some sort of pie and a soup.

Many thanks for the birthday wishes, you're a lovely bunch!!!!!

Day so far has been OK, think the meds are starting to kick in, although one of the side affects is feeling hung over every morning  which aint too nice.

Got the mattress (from yesterdays disaster) dried OK and dont think it smells either which is a bonus. 2 loads of wahing done and up on rads, DW on. Have loads to fold and put away but HATE that bit so am putting it off :p.

Am out for lunch with 2 friends today, will be nice to have a couple of stress free/child free hours. Will get DH to collect DD1 from school and take her to Ballet. Got some work for the PTA to be getting on with, invoices to be broken down into spending patterns etc - all great fun .

Hope you all have a lovely day,
    Al.
