I hope you're wearing your stripy socks, cut-off trousers & tartan scarf! (I can't volunteer to join you, as mine would no longer fit! :D )
By the way, I saw a BCR 2007 calendar the other day!

    morning all :)

    Happy birthday kiwichick :bdaycake:

Not much to report really, have been very good with cooking from scratch, selling stuff on ebay to raise cash for xmas pressies. But as OH has been here since Friday I haven't been very good on the cleaning front :o oh well. He's gone away for a few days so I'll get it all done before he gets back - so he can mess it up again when he gets back :D

I have the majority of xmas presents bought or at least organised, so I'm happy with that.

Just found out that my OH's financial situation is much much worse than I thought, he's managed to completely max out his overdraft (and no longer has any credit cards due to being in debt) so he's in dire straights. I'm really worried and think that I may have to get him a very basic account and literally hand him a bit of cash each week as he just doesn't seem to be able to cope with money! I feel like his mother :( I'm going to post on the dfw forum in a bit.

However, I'm in a relatively good mood as my boss is out of the office again today so it's quite relaxed. I'm just doing my 'To Do' list which will involve mucho cleaning! Whether it actually gets done is another thing, Liverpool are on the tele tonight so I would imagine not a lot will get done after 7.30 or whatever time it starts :rotfl:

Dorry hope you have a great graduation day, how exiting for you.

Taplady, confusion in the elderly can sometimes be caused by something simple like not drinking enough fluids, just a thought.

Melt, I can sympathise with you as I had the same problem with my OH a few years ago. He is absolutely hopeless with money & unknown to me, got himself into a terrible mess. I now have control of his account & literally give him spends each week like one of the children! I was really concerned that he would object, but he actually says that he likes it as it has taken the pressure off him. To be honest we have never had so much money left at the end of the month since our arrangement. Good luck!

Hope every one has a good day xx
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)

Thanks Westy! that is probably it as he's had a tummy bug. He's had some fluids this morning so hopefully he's on the mend.

    Happy Birthday Kiwichick:bdaycake:

Washing was on the line but has had to be taken back in.
Dishwasher is churning and will make a huge quiche tonight with potato wedges (home made)

Still waiting for return of vacuum cleaner after service - due today.

Feel quite upset as DH's best friend has still not had funeral arrangements made after seven weeks.
Still confusion over next of kin and all his friends and neighbours that want to help are left on the sidelines etc. Silly, but we feel responsible for him.

    Hugs to everyone

    Hi everyone!
Hugs to those who need them.
Very uninspiring day today both weather wise and what's been happening. Ah well sometimes it's good just to plod I think.
OS today has been floor washing and tonight the weekly menu/shopping list as am out tomorrow having an aromatherapy massage which is when I'd usually do it.
See what I mean...dull, dull, dull!!
Hope you all have a more thrilling day than me!!

  • Well, work was extremely busy but I don't feel as though it was particularly productive. I hate when I leave the office and my desk looks pretty much the same as when I arrived. Still, I would rather be too busy than not have enough to do.

Just going to make a chicken curry for tonight's dinner before I head out on the school run. I seem to have become a free taxi service for one of the mums at school. She picks DS and her own son up one day a week and I pick them up the other four. I can't remember the last time she actually managed to pick them up on her one day. Will be glad when this school year ends and I can put all of this behind me.

Just been checking my Rpoints, Topcashback and Pigsback points. They are mounting up nicely and should buy most of the presents for those birthdays that fall early next year. :j

Congratulations to those who have good news to celebrate and ((((hugs)))) to those whose news isn't so great.

Right, that curry won't make itself.
