    Morning!

Haven't posted for a few days, been super busy, but have been reading!

Congrats to those with good news, hugs to those who need them

AussieLass - that's very nice of you to lend your TWG out as soon as you've got it! I wouldn't :)

Penny Watcher - My OH does that too - annoying isn't it! (Especially as once I've drunk some tea, I'll be wide awake...so do I gratefully drink the tea and get up at a silly time, or be ungrateful and go back to sleep?)

Didn't have a great night - don't ask me how, but I managed to headbutt OH really hard whilst we were both sleeping last night and almost knock myself unconscious

Lots to do today, just having a brew then I'll pop in the shower before heading out to Lidl's. Going to sand down a mirror we've bought for our hall as well (£1 from a carboot :D), and finish typing up one of my cookbooks.

Oh, and I need to do a bit more sorting of my Xmas list (at the mo, I have loads of random ideas written down in no particular order, and have only bought a couple of bits and pieces), and start making my Aunt's foodie hamper.

    Have a good day!

    Good Morning Everyone!

Not feeling too good today, ive got splitting headache still from last nite, I hope its not a cold coming.

Ive put a gammon joint in the SC for the first time - do you have to completely cover the joint with liquid? I wasnt sure?? I have put it on low setting - hope thats right? im sure it will be edible anyway!

I too am trying to empty freezer before xmas stuff goes in. Got a portion of rhubarb out to defrost for a crumble tonite - you know its winter dont ya?!!!

Apart from that I still have a mega pile of ironing to do - If I won the lottery I would get an au pair just to do the washing and ironing!:rotfl:

I see its Congratulations to churchmouse :T
    and Happy birthday Chipps:beer:

Sorry to hear about your FIL amie - hope his op goes ok.

Lovely to see all the cute baby pictures popping up on here!

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Hi everyone,

Not a lot happening Chez snoozer. I had lost 2lbs at weight watchers last night:j I'm a bit worried tho' because I think it was a false reading:confused: and I will end up the same next week.

DH went with DD last night to measure up her new flat (she's buying with BF and another friend) and says it is very nice, much more homely than the flat she is renting at the mo.

Was supposed to be going to a meeting tonight as part of my course but I think I'll try to postpone it till next week, I really want to get on with decluttering the bedroom.

    Hi all

Trying hard to declutter. Have put 20+ books on Amazon to sell [ text books mainly] and have put some other books on freecycle. Lots of paper in recycle bin too.....must go and get on with more...
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Washing is on the line and dishwasher has just finished.

Sauce for spaghetti bolognese is in the slow cooker as DD is bringing a friend home - they are fed up with home made pizza it seems.
Need to go out for a few bits and pieces later but enjoying a sit down before I tackle the bathroom with Stardrops.
Hoover should be back tomorrow and the house desperatley needs it!!

Need to go up to Newcastle tomorrow to see DD and bring her the textbook that has arrived from Amazon and some letters.

    Happy Birthday

You know I said I wasn't going to buy anything for the freezer? Well, the frozen geese are back in at my Lidl (Blackburn) so I just had to snaffle one. Would have been silly not too :D

Just having a :coffee: before I put all the shopping away. Have to dig out DS2's room this afternoon - before he comes home from school!

    See ya

    Afternoon all

Not having a good day so far, I checked my account to find that I appear to have been underpaid again - they are causing me no end of money stress and now im feeling pretty annoyed with the whole place. Im going to call my boss shortly and ask him to check my payslip for me so I can try and identify the problem and have it fixed. I need to 'check in' with him anyway so at least i can kill two birds with one stone.

Aside from that I have no plans for the day, im just going to chill out in front of the tv with my sewing, and make a nice dinner this evening - i think beef is on the cards.

    Have a good day all!

  • Afternoon all,

I don't really have much to report - I just thought I'd say a quick

I've got friends coming this weekend and after OHs and I's busy weekend of cleaning and tidying, I've just got a couple of small jobs to do before they arrive - mop the floors, reclean the bathroom and reclean the kitchen. I'm also going to make a nice meal for us all too.

My pregnancy seems to be going well - but I'm finding it so hard everyday to not tell anyone. I'm actually really glad I haven't told my mum and dad and OH's folks because if I had, I'd be tempted to tell everyone. A girl at work is pregnant and it's really hard to talk about it with her as I just want to say ME TOO! Everyday that I am healthy and I can feel things happening, I am counting as a blessing and just hoping that we can get to 12/13 weeks then we know we've got a good chance and we get our scan and start to tell people.

Queenie and CM (I think?) - thanks very much for the advice re. list making on Sunday - I do this already but then I get very overwhelmed by my list and ignore it! I'm trying to break things down into daily jobs at the moment - otherwise it all seems a bit much.

Blairweech - Sorry if I missed this, but why are you typing out your cookbooks?

    Have a lovely day

    Valentine xxx
