csarina - hope OH is better today xx

CM - yes, got an email yesterday saying i had won a free flight somewhere in Europe!!!! Not sure if i will be able to use it, depends on what the terms are, but nice to win something as i cant remember the last time i did!!!!!

Had a really bad nights sleep last night, for lots of reasons, but so far this morning im feeling fine!!!!
I have 2 little ones here today but not sure what we are going to do. Ive agreed to accept a delivery for my friend (one of the little ones mums), so we will be spending the day at home waiting for it. Think we might make some buns as we are running low in the cake and biscuit dept, and they enjoy cooking.
So, apart from a little cleaning, thats about it for today, thinking of making a pasta bake for dinner tonight, and i have HM soup for lunch.
Right better get the packed lunches made,
Hope everyone has a lovely day, (((HUGS))) to anyone who needs or wants one,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Today is HOUSE BLITZ DAY!

Its DD's birthday on Friday (7 already, time flies!). So want the house to be nice for the guests.

My SiL is coming on friday with my niece to stay the w/e.

Also think my mother is coming up as well so may have yo meet her tomorrow at Victoria coach station. She can't navigate London by herself, so I need to bring her back to Southend.

So have to really fit 2 days of stuff into today. So baking fairy cakes, biscuits & 2 birthday cakes.

And an entire house clean

Kids doing my head in, grrrr.

See ya all later, have a good one

    love Lisa x

    Morning All

Havent been around for afew days as early pregnancy and work are just wiping me out. Lots of Dr appts today. First it off to the hospital for a chat with my consultant and possible a internal scan, then its back to my GP's to do the form filling bit although this may have to be done another day as I need to get DD seen and I've got a feeling she'll have to take my appointment.

Need to do some batch cooking over the next few days as I'm sorry to say our diet has not been the best while I've been at work. Other than that its the usual washing, ironing etc

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning to everyone :)

Haven't had the heating on here for a few days but the children are currently snuggled up under their duvet's downstairs.

Dh has a job interview today, the company have been looking for ages for the right person which translates that they are very picky and he probably won't get the job! Oh is also staying in London overnight as he does once a week as the commute is so long, so just the children and I tonight. I am going to have a fish curry tonight and watch I'm a Celebrity gmooh as dh likes neither fish nor reality tv!

Need to do some baking today, trying to keep on top of it for lunches, savoury muffins seem to be the big favourite at the moment and mean I don't have to make ds sandwiches in the morning.

Mirakl, I have exactly the same problem with my knitting. I knitted dd a chunky scarf which wasn't too bad as the chunkiness of it covered up my mistakes but I moved on to knitting ds a scarf and my dropped stitches look really messy so have given up for the moment.

Have a good day and a hug to anyone that needs it.

    Good morning everybody! :)

I managed to get to bed just after midnight last night, so I’m feeling a bit more sociable than usual this morning.

I got a few bits and pieces done yesterday, but nothing worth mentioning as I kept getting distracted by the pc. Ok, ok…..I admit it. I was avoiding the kitchen cupboards again. :o

    Hopefully today I’ll do better….

I have some paperwork to do at some stage and I’m planning to make something interesting with pork chops for tea…..apart from that, nothing out of the ordinary.

I hope to get myself motivated to clear another couple of cupboards but it’s boring me to tears. Perhaps if I just knuckle down and get on with it, I may get some sense of satisfaction out of it. Unlikely, but I live in hope. :D

Work again tonight…….I am incredibly busy at the moment. I wouldn’t mind, but I cover quite a large area and this week I seem to be spending more time driving than I am with the patients. Last night I did a 63 mile round trip to visit eight patients. It would make so much more sense to have two of us on at night, covering smaller areas and making more calls. But I suppose that would mean more expense.

Shez, great to see you back!
Aussie, you sound delighted to have YS home.
Snowy, checkout chick…I love it! :rotfl:
Mirakl, where are you getting your organic box from? I haven’t been able to find one in North Down.
Zed, I hope your daughter gets on ok at the dentist.
Churchmouse, glad you decided to go to bed and not sing for us!

Welcome to Sured and Amie :hello:

Have a good day everyone! :)

  • Morning all :)

Some Christmas shopping planned today. Looking for a Meccano set for DS2 and some paints for DD. DS1 is getting a phone:rolleyes: been resisting this one, but it will be useful to contact him and vice versa when transport to and from school becomes a problem. Also don't want him to be the only kid without a phone - OH thinks he'll get mugged for it  . I've tracked down a cheap one on Amazon ;) .It's true what they say - as they get older their presents become smaller but more expensive.

OH has had a job offer. A £10 K hike in salary:D but new pension package is not good and it looks like any increase in monthly salary will have to be ploughed into the pension fund if we are to have any kind of life in 20 years time when he retires (I only worked for 4 years so my pension not worth anything). Pension at his current job is good (unless they pull the plug on it). Going to chat to my Dad who knows a pensions adviser and see if we can set up a meeting and get some advice.

    Morning folks

Unsure yet of my plans for today. Have some washing to be done and will continue with my deep clean/tidy up/declutter of the house. Will probably tackle the living room today.

Never made it to Tesco yesterday. Every time I went to leave the house torrential rain came on and I just couldn't be bothered getting drenched for something non-urgent. Will try and get there today.

Went to my sisters yesterday for lunch. Was treated to HM tomato soup with HM bread, followed by HM bread rolls with ham salad and then finished off with toffee cheesecake! It was divine :D
Also managed to bag myself a new single bed :j
My sister had got bunk beds for my niece and nephew now he is out of his cot so this was my niece's old one. It is only about 3 or 4 years old and not a mark on it.
Will probably collect on Saturday when hubby and brother-in-law are both there to do the lifting ;)

Anyway, off to do a survey I have just been e-mailed.

    Have a great Wednesday :D

Can't concentrate at work today, as I was working until 11pm last night, got to bed midnight, up at 4am and in work at 5.30am. Just found out I'm working till 6pm this evening. Don't know how much longer I can keep doing this. I'm so shattered

Anyway, other than work, I'm not really doing much - not even eating or sleeping

Hope everyone's ok and good luck to all attempting Christmas shopping
