Managed to get all my jobs done yesterday and errands run, including making two birthday cards. Am planning on starting on the Christmas ones tonight whilst OH is at college.
Think that I will also make a cake and/or scones later if I get back in time.
Managed to get the rest of OH's birthday and Christmas gifts yesterday, was also looking for a pair of decent shoes to wear to a funeral on Friday but no luck there.
Just checked my online bank account and with 13 days till payday need to have quite a few NSD ( no spend days as the debt free wannabee's call them)
Am hoping that the new cricket fixture lists will be out today, so I can start planning next years diary
Well :grouphug: to all

Good morning all!
Well, the weather looks a bit more hopeful - at least for the time being, so the washing can go out for a while. D/w wants emptying & re-filling.
The main thing I have done this morning is to clean up the rug by the front door. DH came down to find the cat hiding behind the TV cabinet & wondered what she had been up to, but when he went into the front hall it was apparent that she had mistaken the rug for a cat litter tray:eek:
I don't know if that is better or worse than the time she managed to perch on the edge of one of our houseplants & do her business in there:eek:
(that plant hasn't been the same since... and has been left out in the garden, where I doubt it will survive the frost)
DS & I will need to go out and change up some money into euros today, as we have a day trip to France tomorrow for some Christmas shopping.
Also we need to post his IGCSE Maths assignment off to the private school who run the correspondence course. He did quite well with his first English assignment, but this will be the first Maths one, so we will see how he is doing with that.
I think that's pretty much it for the day, although I may go to the church and do some cleaning - I have got a part time job now, about 3 or 4 hours a week, and I can decide when I do it, which is fine by me! That's the thing that has put me off of doing paid jobs; having hours dictated by someone else!!!! I like the freedom of being a SAHM! Anyway, I still have to be available for DS while he is home educated, but this is probably his last year as he is 16. So now, I get a bit of money, and the church gets clean! I think it's a fair exchange!
Kids' club this evening, then will need to get everything organised for tomorrow, as we pick the coach up at 7am:eek:
Have a good day!0 -

good morning :hello:
it seems like most had a reasonable night :j
i am on the other hand had OH home during the night (he normally works night so i am used to having the bed all to myself) - so that threw me just a little bit and i didn't sleep too well [sigh]
kids woke at 6am (as usual - but still better than the oh so rememberable normal 5ish wake up calls )
so OH has gone to work (i've got the house all to myself ALL day - might be a nice change for once! - then again i have the kids ALL to myself too  - time will tell)
we are all washed and dressed, beds are made, bathroom is s/s, sauce is ready for todays lasagne (made it over night in the SC), d/w needs unloading and library books are ready to go out (also some german ones which i will give away, library is happy to take them off me!)
not much planned only ds will go to nursery at 1pm and dd will get some 'quality time' (she misses out so much)
a great wednesday to everyone and take it easyI have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work0 -
Morning folks
Well, yesterday was a fairly productive day :j .
DD and I went to visit my ma, and helped her to get started on de-cluttering her dining room. She retired (again) on Monday, so we spent an hour and filled 2 large bin bagsIt only did a corner and a unit, but psychologically I think it's helped
And even better ...... 20yrs ago I broke my mother's Kenwood Chef bowl, and of course we couldn't get a replacement ceramic one, instead it was replaced by a plastic one. She's never truly forgiven me (it was an accident and I was 15!) ..... so last yr a friend of mine managed to get hold of a ceramic one (someone died, and there it was - no chef, just the bowl) and he thought it may fit his ma's, unfortunately for her, it didn't (she has an older model - the red one) .... and fortunately for me ... it fitted my ma's :T :T . I've not seen my mother look as chuffed with any present I've ever given her. So, a true bit of recycling happened, LOL.
Today, we have a trip to the dentists, DD first true visit, and she doesn't want to go ... so I'm resorting to bribery in the form of stickers ....
This morning, we will do a traipse around the market and the Charity shops (want to try and find some jigsaws for DD).
Right, time for a cuppa and make some bread (I'm going to use the Kenwood for a change for the bread).
B - Cereal
L - HM Soup / HM Bread
D - Jacket spud and something ....GC - March 2024 -0 -
Morning all. I'm a bit earlier than usual on her today as DS decided he was going to wake up at 6AM and there was no getting him back to sleep. He has hisMMR booster at 10AM so hopefully that will knock him out later and he can have a siesta.;)
My head is pounding. Went to bed with a headache and it's still there this morning.
Need to clean the bathroom today and hoover the upstairs. Anything more than that will depend on DS mood after injection.
If he does sleep I can get DD to make a start on signing her Christmas cards. She only writes her name a couple of times beore she gets bored, hence the 'early' start - a couple a day should have her sorted by the time the Christmas postbox goes up at school:rotfl:
Lunch will be minestrone soup.
Dinner will be spicy lentil layer, chilli butternut squash and green beans. MMmm one of my faves!
Need to work out whether I can get to Debenhams, too. 25% off today and tomorrow and open until midnight. Might go tonight when DH gets home from work. There are a couple of bits I need in there.
Take care all.

I tell you what I think the stardrops fumes have got to me again, sorry folks, its living in Box city that must have done it, couldnt see this thread again, and started another! Will one of the Magic fairys :A whisk it away (sorry squeaks, dont know if you appreciate being called a fairy  )
House is a tip, cant believe how long it takes to pack everything up, cleaning as I go. Going to go out today and try and forget it all! Need another load of bubblewrap, its costing a fortune!
Off out for lunch with the lovely oldie who looks after my dog when I go away. Booked some free flights to Corfu with my tesco points yesterday, and am going to get the ferry across to the lovely little island of Paxos.
Going to go to the Gym this morning. As have been negleting it a bit. MAde a lentil curry, but its far too hot for me so poor hubby has to eat it two nights on the trot (trotting he will certainly be doing)
I shall proberbly just have some soup as am out for lunch.
Big hugglies to those that need them, have a good day everyone.:pPawpurrs x0
