    Hi everyone

Just wanted to say "Welcome Back" to Shez...of course we missed you, it's fantastic to have you back. I'm glad to hear everything went really well and that you feel happy and secure in your employment. BTW I am a supermarket check-out chick now lol. You know the trauma I went through at the last place I w***ed and this was the most suitable thing I could find with as little hassle as possible. It's only until the end of December, and no promises after that, but I'm not even looking as far forward as that these days.

Catznine...in case you're wondering, we missed you too. I had noticed your absence, glad to here you are OK (if not 100% but smiling and getting on with things anyway).

I forgot to mention earlier, but I ordered a bag of Soapnuts last night. TBH I haven't yet used the sample they sent, but I have faith that I will be happy with them.

Here is the link for any new persons to Old Style who may not have heard of Soapnuts before:

    See you all tomorrow.

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

    Hey all!

Just back from my pottery class, the Christmas presents are coming along nicely!

Another job interview tomorrow, hopefully they'll offer me the sort of money that will be interesting and it's not another waste of everyone's time.

My knitting is getting worse I really need to learn how to pick up dropped stitches :rotfl:

Apple chutney on the stove, just looking for the site I found today to order an organic veg box and am planning to make HFW's Glutney with any leftovers :D

Hope you all have a great day (((HUGS))) to everyone who needs them!

mirakl, the only advice I can give is the odd loops without any connection are your dropped stitches!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Try knitting into them!!

Just about to go to bed, but am determined tomorrow will be more productive!

Hoping to get to Bluewater tomorrow to get started with the Christmas shopping. I do realise I'm weeks if not months behind most of you!!!

However I would appreciate a round of applause for my first Christmas present purchased today ( and that was picked up by DH!!!)

Twink and Kyle, hope you're both OK, haven't noticed either of you posting for a couple of days? Also hope kiddies are OK, Kyle?

Am getting a bit whoosy from wine, so will say goodnight all! It's that or break into a chorus of " all by myself"!! Believe me, anyone who's heard my singing will prefer the goodnight option!!

    Morning all.

Im not tired yet so I thought id post before I send my sorry self to bed to attempt getting to sleep. I need to wake up early for the 8.30am doctors appt telephone battle, ive developed a mole on my leg that has appeared over the course of a week and its painful and raised, but I think im probably overreacting to a mole that quite possibly could have been there for years and ive itched it or something!

Yesterday was fairly productive, ive cleaned the entire flat to my liking and watched a movie, went food shopping and generally pottered around. Tomorrow I plan a similarly relaxing day of not a lot and maybe getting out the sewing machine.

Aside from that, not much else to report really!

    Have a good day all!

  • A knitting tip that my Mum gave me Mirakl is to put a large safety pin in the dropped stitch to keep it from unravelling until you come back to it, then knit into it in the way the pattern requires. Hope this helps a bit.

I can't sleep, OH is away overnight so I ususally wake up early and then start to miss him and can't get back off.

Not sure what OS will happen today, still trying to get everything ready for holiday on Friday. BM will go on in a mo, TD will follow suit but may just have a lazy day today apart from list writing.

Have a good day all, I will go and brew another cuppa anyone want one?

    Louise:D Oooh my 600 post!

PAY DAY I like he 15th of the Month. Mind you once all the direct debits have gone out, there is not much left to fritter around. At least I know I managed to avoid going in to the overdraft.

I think the car might actually get some fuel in it today as well.

It's raining again, but it won't matter as I look at it through he office window. Still can't do any washing.. Still don't know what machine to buy...

    Have a nice one

    morning everyone!

im up early this morning, the cat woke me up at 4.45 meowing to go out!!! then the baby woke up so no chance of going back to sleep.

plans for today: drop 3 off to school and take baby to nursery. come home and have a tidy up, do some paperwork, i have a few orders to pack from last nights sales and they will go out this afternoon. a couple of orders to place with wholesalers today too (shopping yay! i love that bit!)

rest of morning will be spent concocting various new recipes i have developed for soaps and i want to make a lipbalm which will if it turns out ok be another prezzie for the women in my family for xmas giftbaskets.

i pick baby up at lunchtime and we will just chill out this afternoon til the school run, i am waiting for a couple of deliveries today so i am hoping they wont come while im out:o

havent decided what im doing for dinner tonight, probably something simple tho. i want to make a start on crissy cards this evening, well, at least see if i have all the stuff i need to make them.

have just got a loaf out of BM, yum!:D i did washing last night so is now ready to go on airer this morning:)

another busy day here i think. have to dig out DS2 hospital appointment card this morning as he is having his cast removed from his leg friday morning. he got hit by a car, walking home from school 7 weeks ago and ended up having 2 operations and his leg was broken in 2 places, he was VERY lucky, and i still am counting my blessings everyday that he is still with us.

anyway, off to brew another cuppa,
have a great day whatever you are doing,
