Have a great time @ Centre Parcs. When we go each part of the family takes a big casserole/chilli/stew sort of thing and we have a different one each night
You get take out when you are tired - could you not freeze a couple of portions of the chilli etc and have them on standby - they could be microwaved in the same time it takes to arriveSealed pot challenge 822

Thanks Dawnybabes!
My dad is taking a chilli which should be ok for the first night. We're going to go out for a meal on 1 night for my dads birthday but I think I will take a meal to freeze and have on the final night. Thank you

Morning all,
I sat and counted the money which i've put in my signature last night and it turns out I had more than I thought
. I've put some 5p's and 10p's which were in my pennies pot into my emergency fund which is why my pennies pot has gone down a little.
So as I said yesterday I have much to do today:
- Sweep living room,[STRIKE] washing up[/STRIKE], sweep hall and vacuum stairs.
- Go for a sunbed and go for a jog.
- [STRIKE]Meet mum for lunch and go food shopping[/STRIKE].
- [STRIKE]Go to Home Bargains[/STRIKE].
- [STRIKE]Buy a swimming costume (i've found it, just need to buy it)[/STRIKE].
- [STRIKE]Pack[/STRIKE].
- [STRIKE]Clean out car[/STRIKE].
- Collect diesel money from brother and [STRIKE]Withdraw my weekly/CP spends[/STRIKE].
-[STRIKE] Paint fingernails[/STRIKE].
I've added on going to Home Bargains as I bought some V Water from there the other day and it was 19p and it's normally around £1.40 in shops so i'm going to stock up. They also sell really cheap cereal.
Also, i'm not going to meet my mum for dinner. Not sure whether I should have agreed to this as I have lots to do but i'm sure i'll squeaze it in.
Anyway not much more to add really, i'd best get on, have a good day all.

Evening all,
I've literally just rolled into bed and i'm knackered!
I did most of my list. I'm going to collect the diesel money from my brother tomorrow. I didn't have time to sweep, vacuum, jog or sunbed but it's not a problem.
Anyway just thought i'd send a quick update,
I'm setting off at 9:30 tomorrow morning and i'll post an update on Monday night with what should hopefully not be a massive amount of spends.
Wish me luck, Cup_Cake xxLife isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain...0 -

Afternoon all,
So we're home! We had an ok time. I wasn't overly impressed with Centre Parcs to be honest, I much preferred Sherwood Forest so if I can ever convince DB to go again we'll be going to that one. We spent most of the weekend chilling out and went swimming a couple of times.
I didn't spend too much money which i'm happy about as I wouldn't have wanted to have spent too much not having had a great time. I think I spent around £40 although I didn't keep track. I got £15 petrol money although I put £40 in the car so I am £25 down there as well. I forgot to take the moneyI had saved (the money shown in my signature) so I still have that which i'm happy about
.
Money isn't good at the money but I don't want to update my signature until the end of the month as i'm hoping to have a frugal couple of weeks to pull it back.
I'm spending the afternoon laid in bed as i'm exhausted and i'm back to work tomorrow so I shouldn't be spending anymore money today.
I hope everyones had a nice weekend,

Evening all,
I wrote a huuuge post earlier which I thought i'd posted but it appears I lost it, grr.
First day back at work today
.
So I didn't manage a NSD today. I spent £4.20 on bus fare which couldn't be avoided. I spent £1 on crisps which I just had a craving for today. Also I spent £3.50 in Holland and Barrett. I've had toothache for 3 days now and bonjela just wasn't working so my friend told me about clove oil which i've bought and it basically numbs which has made my teeth feel much better.
I could only really have avoided the crisps but hey ho.
DB and I have had a chicken breast, huuge yorkshire pudding, new pots, carrots, peas and sweetcorn with gravy for tea. It was scrummy yummy! I've just finished washing up and now i'm going to shower then watch TV for an hour before bed.
Tomorrow I need to buy milk as we've run out and I forgot today, but other than that it should be a cheap day. I'm getting a lift into work tomorrow so I don't have to pay bus fare.
Not much else to report today, it seems to have gone too quick today.
Anyway another day another dollar,

Happy Hump Day MSE'ers,
Not much to report really, its been quite a boring day but I thought i'd still post otherwise i'd end up leaving it for days and days.
I've been in work today and then spent the evening relaxing. Before my holidays I was really tired after work but I dont seem to be too tired which is nice, I actually have the energy to cook tea and wash up in the same night.
I've been a little spendy today. I tend to spend money stupidly when I go into town for lunch. I spent about £5 today on the following:
£1 on 6 bags of crisps (I was spendy 50p per bag so a lot cheaper)
85p on cooked (naughty I know)
£1.35 on Sensodyne
£1 Milk
£1 Belvita breakfast biccys
I absolutely needed the sensodyne as I still have toothache and my mum has advised me that this should get rid of it. I'm sooo fed up of it
.
We also desperately needed milk as we didn't have any for breccy today.
The crisps, cookies and breakfast biscuits were luxuries but £3 isn't too bad given that they will last me the week and stop me spending £1 a time at the vending machine (sometimes twice a day).
I've decided that to assist my weight loss I need to buy some weighing scales. At the moment I can only see the weight loss by looking in the mirror which isn't much of an encouragement as this is obviously a slow process.
I need to set myself a weight loss goal and buy some scales.
The takeaway which I had tonight won't help the weightloss and I haven't been on a jog before we went to Centre Parcs.
I might just call this week a write off and be extra good next week.
Looking at the finances ive managed to get myself a further £100 into my overdraft this month. God knows how! Next week I will definately need to start posting my spends so that I can see where all my money is going. I'm really excited about DB getting paid as I can finally pay some money off my debt. Hopefully around £400
. I'm giving DB £50 as I stood on his laptop and he's needed to buy a new one. I couldn't afford to give him much more so we went halves.
DB is working away next week so he needed to book a hotel which he's put on my credit card but he will be paying this back as soon as he gets paid so i'm not going to class this as further debt. I just hope he gets paid the week after finishing the contract as planned.
I allow myself £50 per week for personal spends which thinking about it it's a ridiculous amount of money, I have no idea what i'm spending it on.
I'm going to head over to the old style board for some advice on how to reduce my food bill. £200 per month for 2 people is a lot of money.
To say I've had a dull day I sure have managed to babble! Thank if you're still reading. Have a good day,

Ok one more quick post, i'll keep it quick, promise!
I'm going to withdraw £20 per week for personal spends and only if I spend that will I withdraw anymore, obviously no more than £50 in total though.
Also i'll be trying to have 3 NSD's per week. This will be a massive challenge as I do the food shopping as and when required so end up buying something most days. Also I get the bus to work 3 times per week which will ruin a NSD automatically. This will mean that I have the chance to have a NSD on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. I'm doubtful that 3 per week will work but with much planning I might manage it. I like a challenge.
Sorry just wanted to note it down so that I didn't forget, C_C xxLife isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain...0 -
Morning all,
Todays going to be a bad day at work as we have a test today so i'm really nervous. When i'm sat here in 12 hours time i'll be a happy bunny.
My plan for today is to get work out of the way and then i'm going out tonight with my dad but should only need to spend £3 on some tea. I normally get a subway salad.
I'm also going to have to spend £4 on bus fare but other than that i'm hoping not to spend anything else.
Anyway must get on, I have to get ready for work and my bus leaves at 7
.
