Morning all,
Thanks Keeping Positive, admitting spends keeps me on the straight and narrow. Plus it shames me into stopping spending money I shouldn't.
No post last night as I was so tired I fell asleep as soon as I got home. Although I didn't do good with my list onwards and upwards today.
So i've already spent £2.30 today on bus fare as DB told me at 12 last night that he needed the car. But he will be picking me up after work so I didn't need to get a day pass which made it cheaper.
Money:
Spends for this week - £1.20
Groceries for this week - £1.30
Spends left for rest of month - £100 (1 week)
9 days until payday!
Spends for today:
NSD (definately)
Today's To Do's:
- Spend NO money!
- Work until 4pm.
- Go for a jog.
- Make tea.
- Chill out.
I was naughty last night and bought some boots from the primark sale. They were only £10 and they are for work. It was annoying because I didn't want to spend the money but I was so desperate for new boots that I didn't have a choice. Plus they were nice and cheap so its not too bad.
Although that means another £10 on the debts . (oh I need to update sig)
I simply cannot afford to spend any money today. My £2.50 only needs to last me until Friday so its not too bad as I don't need anything but it's still not great.
I put The Sims 3 on Ebay last night and it's current at £16 with 8 hours left so that's pretty good I think. Its £16 off the debts isn't it!
DB still hasn't heard anymore about the contract and he still hasn't decided whether he wants to be so far away. I'll keep you posted.
Wish me luck for a NSD and actually going for a jog! I'm been so tired lately.

Your honesty has been great and making me be honest about my spends too where as before Id have "forgotten" them. Shows you that even a long hauler needs a helping hand once in a while!
£10 boots are a great bargain. I need some more but like you dreading the spend. I did get shoes rehealed so that will save month in the long run.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -

I can imagine it been worse in some ways been a long hauler because it would be so tempting to just say 'oh that £10 won't hurt' but when it's fresh in your mind as a newbie youre thinking about it all the time.
I'm glad I can help
theres a first for everything :rotfl:

Evening all,
I won't bother posting money because I barely have any in my purse.
In the past I would have just withdrawn more money but I am doing with what I have and just doing without silly things which are a waste of money anyway.
Today I had to put some more diesel in the car so that was £10 but DB also put £10 in so that will come out of next weeks budget and should last me until I get paid now.
In good news though I sold my game for £19 (£2 is P&P) which is great.
It's gone into DB's account but when he gets it through he will transfer it over to my account
. Thats another £17 off the debt.
I was looking at my signature and I couldn't believe I have paid off £100 of the debts this month alone. When DB gets a contract I will have £450 a month disposable income so will be able to pay off the debts much quicker although in a way I prefer having less money because it makes me appriciate it much more.
I noticed that the week that I was on holiday from work allowed me to save £50 over the week but as soon as I went back to work I seemed to be spending everything again. I think it's because I need to spend around £20 travel and it's much easier to buy takeaways when you're tired. Although I don't mind too much, as long as I don't spend more than my budget it's ok.
Anyway just came on for a bit of a babble really, thank you listening.
I just hope I dont need to spend anything tomorrow and then i'll be ok next week and I might even be able to add a pound or so to my emergency pot.

Morning all,
I have £1.20 to my name but I can take my weekly money out tomorrow so it's all good.
I will probably need to spend this as I haven't brought any lunch with me, but i'll get some soup for £1 so I don't go over.
Today's To Do's:
- Work until 4:15pm.
- Go for a jog.
- Make tea.
- Wash up.
- Chillax.
Another easy day for me, im exhausted again so its not a bad thing.
Sorry for the boring post,

Afternoon,
So I spent £3.15 on dinner . It was yummy but it was only a jacket potato and I can't help but think I could have made one for a fraction of the price at home.
I must remember to make dinner everyday from now on!
I've been sat working out my estimated budget for next month. It is only an estimate as I will be getting more than last year but not sure how much it will be until I receive my wage slip (normally after I get paid).
So i've been thinking about Centre Parcs and I won't have any spare money for this at all.
I've decided that any money that I have left over from now until then I will put this towards my Centre Parcs fund.
I'm hoping I won't need to spend much, I might just go out for one meal but we'll taking most of the food with us and will probably spend most of the day in the swimming pool.
I want to put up some balloons and banners for my dads birthday but me and my brother will go halves on this and it shouldnt cost much anyway. I will be making him a birthday cake. I might make an extra fancy 50 one but it will cost a fraction of the price of a shop bought one and it should taste tonnes better too!
Does anyone know where I could buy a huge cake tin/holder for a reasonable price?
Sorry I just came on for a waffle again,

Evening all,
So I was really naughty and bought a takeaway tonight, i've put £2.50 in my emergency pot.
I'll be taking £30 out for spends next week and £50 for groceries. That should be more than enough.
I'll be doing one big weekly money post tomorrow and i'll edit it everytime I spend something, then I can keep my daily posts for a ramble.
I have slipped off the wagon a little lately so im quite dissapointed with myself. Towards the end of the week I get more and more lazy because i'm exhausted. Next week I will be living on £4 per day and so if I have a NSD I will put the £4 into my emergency pot.
I was reading a diary earlier and all the posts were different colours which I liked I think it might cheer me up
so I will be adopting that from tomorrow too.

Evening MSE'ers,
So it's been a pretty pants day in general really.
I was 3 hours late for work, I was due in at 7:30 and rolled in at 10:30 because I forgot to set my alarm last night. It's lucky I only work a short day on a Friday.
Even worse than that, I drove up to my usual parking space this morning only to find that the council have put pay and display signs up so I had to pay £2 for parking which I didn't have so I had to run to a cash point, waste 60p on a can of coke for some change then run back and run to work
.
Also I spent waaay too much money!! I had to buy lunch again because I was late for work and worked over dinner. Then I was naughty and went to Primark and spent £8.50 on jewellry.
I also had the opticians today and they have said I need glasses for distances which I simply can't afford so I need to get saving for those too.
As long as I can live on £10 next week I should be fine
.
Although given that I will now need to get on the bus 3 days next week as I cant afford parking I can't see that happening.
Anyway, weekly money post to follow, although it will look bleek this week.
