    Hi all,

So it's going to be a nice quiet day today.

    Money:
Spends for this week - £24.50
Groceries for this week - £25.75

Spends left for rest of month - £100 (1 week)
    12 days until payday!

    Planned spends for today:
    - Possibly something for tea.

    Today's To Do's:

    - Do 2 loads of washing
    - Defrost freezer
    - Make lunch for work tomorrow.
    - Ring NPower and check where my updated bill is.
    - Make dinner
    - Date night tonight so make some yummy tea.

Spends are quite low already this week so I need to be extra careful from now on. I'll hopefully manage to NSD today which will help.
Most of my weekly spends will now go on travel (around £12 per week).
DB and I have decided that we're not going to have a takeaway until we go to Centre Parcs though so hopefully we'll stick to that.
We're going to Centre Parcs in 4 weeks :)

I was thinking last night about how I will manage any money left over at the end of the week. I've decided that anything under £10 will go in my emergencies pot and anything over £10 will go towards the debts.
Thanks for Keeping Positives advise I am now using an old coffee jar for my emergency pot which saved me money :)

Well best get on with my list, have a good day all.

    Money:
Spends for this week - £24.50
Groceries for this week - £16.30
Spends left for rest of month - £100 (1 week)

    12 days until payday!

    Spends for today:
    - £3.50 Cooked Chicken
    - £1.98 Bacon
    - £1.36 2 x V Water
    - £1.54 Bananas
    - £1 News of the World

    Total - £9.38

My NSD didn't work but that should be it for the week now so it'd be nice if I could save the rest of my grocery budget for debts and the emergency pot.

7p went into the 1p and 2p pot.
Oh and £2 went into the emergencies pot from DB, I need to add this to my sig.

    Today's To Do's:
    - [STRIKE]Do 2 loads of washing[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Defrost freezer[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Make lunch for work tomorrow[/STRIKE].
    - [STRIKE]Ring NPower and check where my updated bill is[/STRIKE].
    - [STRIKE]Make dinner[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Date night tonight so make some yummy tea[/STRIKE].

I rang NPower and they arn't open on a Sunday so i'll give them a call tomorrow if the bill doesn't arrive.
I went to my dads for dinner and I have chicken and bacon ready for a salad tonight.

I'm getting £1000 on my birthday this year as it's a milestone birthday. I've discussed it with DB and rather than paying off debts with it we're going to use it to go on a nice holiday in September. I don't want to look back and regret not using it for something special. My dad is also paying for me to do a snowboarding lesson so that when we go travelling next year me and DB can go snowboarding.

Next week instead of doing a money post everyday i'm going to do 1 a week and update it everyday and keep the daily posts purely me babbling on.

I might go for a jog shortly and then get a shower and wash my hair for work tomorrow (I add this to my to do list as my hair is so long it takes around an hour to wash/dry/straighten etc).

    Night night all,

    Cup_Cake xx

Hi Cup_Cake (Love the name by the way)

Ive been reading your diary (hope you dont mind). I also have one of those dulce gusto machines. They make lovely coffee but whenever i go shopping and look at the price on the pods i can never bring myself to pay it. As a result it has been sitting there for a good few months unused. I may possibly sell it, however if i can get the pods cheaper i might be tempted to keep it.
I did look on ebay today at large packs of pods however a lot of them actually work out more expensive than getting them in the supermarket.

    Hi Charlyze2,

Of course you can read my diary :) it's nice to know that people are listening to my babbles!

I can't believe how pricey the pods are either. I didn't mind buying them before my LBM but I always think twice now.
I see it this way though, it's still much cheaper than buying coffee from a Starbucks or Costa.
I think that the website which they're on, Viking Direct have upset a few people on here according to the post but I might give them a shot I could always get a refund if it didn't work out.

    Money post to follow,

    Morning all,

So I'm hoping today can be my 4th NSD of January.
I'm going to be a busy bee today so I have to stick to a tight schedule as I have my evening class on Monday nights.

    Money:
Spends for this week - £24.50
Groceries for this week - £16.30
Spends left for rest of month - £100 (1 week)
    12 days until payday!

    Spends for today:
    NSD (hopefully)

    Today's To Do's:
    - Work until 3:30pm.
    - Go for a jog.
    - Have a shower.
    - Make and eat tea.
    - Go to art class.

I have run out of foundation so need to replace this which is around £7 but I have a little bit of eczema on my face at the moment so this can wait as I can't wear it anyway. I will buy this next week.

Boring day for me today, hope everyone has a good day,

    Cup_Cake xx

I'm just going to ring NPower now and check where my bill is,

Grr i'm so mad at myself! I ended up in Pizza Hut tonight and spent... wait for it... £21 . Then I needed diesel so had to put £15 in to get me to work for the rest of the week double .

    Money:
Spends for this week - £3.50
Groceries for this week - £1.30
Spends left for rest of month - £100 (1 week)
    12 days until payday!

    Spends for today:

    NSD (hopefully)

    Today's To Do's:
    - [STRIKE]Work until 3:30pm[/STRIKE].
    - Go for a jog.
    - [STRIKE]Have a shower[/STRIKE].
    - Make and [STRIKE]eat tea[/STRIKE].
    - [STRIKE]Go to art class[/STRIKE].

And I didn't even go for a jog, i've just gotten back from my art class and i'm knackered so I won't be going for one tonight.

I basically have to have a no spend week this week otherwise i'm going further into the overdraft.

I'm out tomorrow after work but shouldn't need to spend anything as long as I eat tea before I go out.

On good money news, I get free eye tests from work and have ordered a free test form today so I should get that soon.
Also, I rang NPower and they said it could be 11th Feb before the bill is sent as it's gone to a special circumstances department and they must have a loooong SLA.

Anyway early night for me, i'm exhausted and it's only Monday.
    Nighty night,

    Morning all,

Sooo last night was a late one, DB has been offered a contract in London for 3 months. This isn't near where we live so he would need to get a flat or house share for the 3 months. We sat discussing it for hours, the money is great :) but it means he'll be away for months :(.

    Money:
Spends for this week - £3.50
Groceries for this week - £1.30
Spends left for rest of month - £100 (1 week)
    12 days until payday!

    Spends for today:
    NSD (definately)

    Today's To Do's:
    - Spend NO money!
    - Work until 4pm.
    - Go for a jog.
    - Make tea.
    - Go out with dad.

Night easy day again today, i was exhausted yesterday so after going out im going to try and get another early night.

    Have a good day all,

    Cup_Cake xx
