hi cup cake, will follow you on your journey if you don't mind. Love the name.

Please do! It's lovely to have the support.
I loooove baking so I thought the name fit :p

So i've had a look at the SOA calculator and I need to find out interest rates and I need to break down my weekly spends into petrol for work and entertainment etc before completing so i'll get onto that.

I've spoken to DB and we've decided to start collecting £2 coins in a piggy bank as an emergency fund. I've just put 2 £2 coins in and DB put 1 £2 in so we're up to £6 already. Every little helps :D

    Evening guys,

So it's been a NSD today which is a good start to the year.
It's also been a lazy day. I've baked some buns and a couple of things from my list below.

As I said in my previous post I have decided to start collecting £2 coins.
I think I may also collect 1p's and 2p's which I tend to do already but i'm going to have to start recording this I think. Maybe i'll add this to my signature too.

    Money as is:
Spends for this week - £21.69 (£4 gone to £2 coin pot)

Groceries for this week - £4.87
Money for Rest of Month - £300 (3 weeks)

    Plans for today:
    - I still need to do my SOA, I will definately do this today!

Ok so I didn't manage this one today, a job for tomorrow or Monday.
    - Clean up a little from the party.

Done most of this, just need to wash up which i'll do before bed.
    - Do about 4 loads of washing.

I only had 3 loads, of which i've done 2. 1 more to do tomorrow.

I just need to try and find something for tea now. I'm thinking something easy peasy like a jacket potato, i'm fed up of eating after christmas and I can't be bothered to cook anything.

    Spends for today:
£2.00 - 2 bottles of sparkly to pop at midnight.

How on earth did you manage to get 2 bottles for £2?!

Oh it wasn't anything posh, it's called Chaumet it's a sparkling perry.
To say it was so cheap though it was quite nice and sweet, I would recommend it!

    Morning all,

    Money as is:
Spends for this week - £20.60

(27p has gone into my 1p and 2p pot andI think I miscounted yesterday as I now have less than I should (I really need to get better at counting :o))
Groceries for this week - £4.60 (I must have miscounted this too, 9p has gone into the 1p and 2p pot)
Money for Rest of Month - £300 (3 weeks)

Ok so I need to get much better at counting change, although this should be easier without all the 1p's and 2p's to count. No wonder my purse was so heavy with 36p in pennies.
I found some more change around the house so i've added that to my pot so it's sitting at nearly £1 on the first day .

    Planned spends for today:
    - Cordial, milk and croutons and something for tea.
I should only need to spend whatever I spend at the shop today.

I worked out that with my food budget I am allowed to spend £7.14 on groceries per day. This is more than doable I just have to make sure that I continue to only buy what is on my list and not sneak chocolate in my basket. This is the reason why I try to walk to the supermarket as I can't carry as much and therefore dont buy what I dont need.

After having a really lazy day yesterday I do have a bit of a to do list today.

    Plans for today:
    - 1 more load of washing.
    - Washing up which I didn't do last night :o.
    - Walk to the supermarket.

My diary has been slightly boring so far but i'm hoping it might get a little more interesting when i'm back at work on Tuesday.

    Have a fab Sunday all,

I've had my trip to Tesco, I needed slightly more than planned so I went in the car but I was still good and didn't buy anything that I didn't need.
I'm mad with myself because I forgot to withdraw my £70 for the week so I ended up having to buy my shopping on my card which ended up costing £21.27. I will withdraw £50 tomorrow, £30 for the groceries budget and £20 for my weekly spends.

    Ok heres the damage:
    £2.50 2x Lime Cordial
    £1.50 stir fry
    £3.82 4x soups
    £1.58 2x hand wash's
    £1.69 15 eggs
    £3.14 Enchiladas Kit
    £1.29 Croutons
    £4.00 Chicken
    35p French bread stick
    74p Loaf of bread
    88p Milk

I haaate spending so much on meat but it needs to be done. Sunday night is date night with DB and so we're having chicken enchiladas with stir fry tonight.

    Morning all, well afternoon,

I've been really lazy today and slept in but it's the last day of my holiday today so i'll be back to 5:30 wake up tomorrow :(.

So I was also feeling pretty lazy last night and whilst I would have normally ordered a takeaway I got of my bottom and cooked the enchiladas which I bought which is a first for me.

    Money as is:
Spends for this week - £45.20
Groceries for this week - £30
Money for Rest of Month - £200 (3 weeks)
    18 days until payday!

So I withdrew £50, £20 for spends and £30 for groceries. I transferred the £4.60 from the groceries budget into my spends budget too.

    Planned spends for today:
    - We're going out for a carvery but I think DB is paying for that.

    Today's To Do's:
    - Go out for carvery.
    - Wash up yesterdays enchiladas.
    - Iron shirts for work.
    - Wash kitchen floor.
    - Make lunch for work tomorrow.

I don't know what it is, maybe because christmas and new year are now over but i'm suddenly reeeally wanting to go on holiday for some sun. We generally go once a year around May (although it depends when DB's contracts run until).

DB will start applying for contracts again from tomorrow so hopefully we should have some more money coming in shortly which will help pay off some debt.

Also my diet begins today so wish me luck!
