Thanks KP, today went a lot better than expected at work. I didn't get tested as planned so it was all good :T.
I did terribly on the money side and I now have £40 to live on next week instead of £50. I'm so fed up of frittering money away, I must stop this!! I want to feel as though im getting something for my money.
DB and I have been talking as we've decided we would really like to move within the next year. Once the debts have gone and we have a little pot of savings I would like to make this our next priority. Depending on DB's contracting we could literally end up anywhere in the world so we will end up moving anyway but it would be nice not to log the debts around with us, especially if we end up in another country.
I was thinking earlier how KP, you always post something positive on my diary and I never post on yours even though I read it. I would like to apologize and I will start to post more rather than just reading!
Anyway, Friday tomorrow and it's my short day at work. We've been offered overtime but I want to clean the house a little really as i'm out on Saturday and i'm spending Sunday with DB before he goes away for the week.

Dont worry I go through phazes of just reading. Any comments are always welcome but not essential!
Glad the day went well. £40 isnt too bad. What essential spends do you have ie the bus?:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -

Hey KP,
Glad to hear that, I didn't want you to think I was being rude because I do read your diary, promise!
My only essential spend is my bus fare. I don't have an entertainment budget though so any entertainment comes out of my weekly spends.
I'll post with my money situation next...

So i'm going to set my posts out as follows from now on to make things a little more structured, hopefully this will help me keep a track of every single penny and it will hopefully stop me from wasting money!
Mood today:
I had a really rubbish day at work but I only work 3 hours on a Friday. I certainly couldn't face any overtime. It is available 2 weeks on Saturday for a full week at time and a half so I think i'll just do as many hours as I can and get a decent amount of money for it.
Anyway I cheered right up when I got home to DB who had a huge smile on his face (for no particular reason but it always cheers me up).
Money as is:
£37.95 - Spends
£50.00 - Food
Planned spends for today:
I've spent £2.30 on my bus fare to get home out of my £40 and I already had a bit of change which is why it's sat at £37.95. I also added 10p worth of copper to my jar (need to add to sig).
I'm hoping the rest of the day will be a NSD (fingers crossed).
To Do's Today:
- DB and I are going out for a meal (DB's paying).
- Find out more info about DB's contract, someone somewhere has messed something up and it could potentially stop it going ahead . I will not be a happy bunny if it doesn't happen.
- 2 loads of washing (maybe even 3).
I've already cleaned the kitchen top to bottom.
Weight loss:
I'm going to start logging weight loss and admit everything bad that i've eaten. The hope is that i'll be too embarassed to admit it which will stop me eating it.
I've been a bit naughty since getting back from Centre Parcs so the diet will start on Sunday, random day I know but i'm going out for a meal/ drinking tomorrow night so it won't be a healthy day and I don't want to set myself up for failure.
So as I said I have a night out tomorrow but i'm just keeping everything crossed that I don't spend too much.
Anyway better go get ready for my meal, i'll post again tonight, hopefully saying that I haven't spent anything.
Cup_Cake xx
oh p.s. if the contract does go ahead i'm going to take DB to buy some food to take with him next week and if not i'll be going food shopping anyway so not a NSD for me tomorrow.

Mood:
To say i'm mad would be an understatement! After ringing back and forth and waiting most of the evening, DB's contract has been postponed. They seem to think it will be delayed by a week but they say a lot and it rarely happens. That's £1400 that we're now not getting.
All I can do now is keep my fingers crossed that they are just delaying it and that he will still get the work just a week later.
On the plus side, there is potential for another 2 days for paper work which would mean another £800 but as I said its only potential and it could just be all talk.
Actual spends today:
£2 - Paid towards the meal (tip)
£10 - Diesel (need to drive to my aunties for the night out tomorrow)
Money as is:
£25.95 - Spends
£50.00 - Food
Done to do's?
I haven't done my washing, im going to do it tomorrow as well as a little cleaning up.
I'm feeling sorry for myself tonight so i'm sat curled in a ball watched sex and the city 2.
Hope everyone else has had a lovely Friday, Cup_Cake xxLife isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain...0 -
Forgot to add, my OD2 has obviously gone up from £600 but i've spent more than planned this month, silly me!
Also I booked DB's hotel on my credit card which i've just cancelled so im waiting for that to go back on, I think it will take a few working days though but i'll ring up and check on Monday.

Mood today:

Feeling much better this morning, i'm just a little tired today. I might have to have a power nap later on so that i'm not falling asleep tonight.
Planned spends for today:
- Night out tonight, i'll try my best to keep it cheap.
Money as is:
£25.95 - Spends
£50.00 - Food
To Do's Today:
- Do 3 loads of washing.
- Sweep living room and hallway.
- Vacuum stairs.
- Make dinner (do not eat out!)
- Go on night out and stop over at aunties.
- Clean bathroom
I was a little disheartened last night so I sat thinking last night about things. I've split the debts into mine and DB's sepeately to make it a little easier for me. In reality i'm not in much debt at all but whilst DB doesn't have a contract I have no spare money in my wage. This means that i'm just going to be extra careful with the money I do have so that I can pay some off the debts, if even only a little. DB did say that he would start trying a little harder to find a contract as well so thats promising.
So my debts are:
£1228
£419
Totalling: £1648
My first overdraft is all DB's, £200 from my credit card is DB's and £300 from the second overdraft is also DB's. DB does earn a hellova lot more than me though so it shouldn't be much of a problem for his to sort these out.
Anyway i've managed to babble on again,
Have a lovely Saturday all, Cup_Cake xxLife isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain...0 -
Sorry to hear about the contract. Sending positive vibes it does go ahead or a super duper replacement shows up.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0

Thanks KP, i'm just keeping my fingers crossed that this contract is just delayed by a week. Although if a longer one came up that'd be fab!
Mood today: :undecided
Feeling slightly worse for wear after last night but i'm just going to have a nice relaxing day today and hopefully i'll feel better later.
Planned spends for today:
- I'm going to the supermarket today just to get some essentials.
Money as is:
£3 - Spends
£50.00 - Food
Spent last night:
£7 Taxi fare
£7 Subway for me and my mum
£4 Madonalds this morning
.
£5 Dinner, coffee and cake for dinner yesterday
£7 Jeans (went on credit card. Mine had holes in so definately essential).
I didn't buy any drinks last night as I had them bought for me and I paid for the taxis.
As you can see I only have £3 spends left so my bus fare will have to come out of my change pot. Not ideal but it's better than it coming from the overdraft!
To Do's Today:
- [STRIKE]Drop DB off (hes too hungover to drive, bless).[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Wash up[/STRIKE].
- [STRIKE]Pick DB up[/STRIKE].
- [STRIKE]Go to the supermarket for essentials[/STRIKE].
- [STRIKE]Spend the rest of the day relaxing[/STRIKE].
I did everything on my list yesterday.
Have a good Sunday all, Cup_Cake xxLife isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain...0
