Just a quick update from me so that I can get back to my relaxing and surfing other peoples diaries :D.

I've done everything on my list for today, although it was an easy peasy list. I spent £24 at the supermarket which has bought DB any my dinners for the week (sandwiches for me and soup and salads for DB). It also bought ingredients for a chicken sweet and sour, spag bol and chicken stir fry.
Tonight i've made the chicken sweet and sour so that we can eat it tomorrow night and I dont have to cook after work before my art class. I think it should last 3 portions so DB can have it for lunch on Tuesday.
I also made my sandwiches for tomorrow and Tuesday so I dont have to buy any lunch at work.

    So money as is:
    £3 - Spends
    £26 - Groceries

£26 has to last me a looong time until payday so it might be beans on toast a couple of night but we'll have that towards the end of the week when I can't be bothered to cook.
I get paid on 23rd so 10 days away . I should be fine as long as I don't spend anything other than bus fare. I've never managed this before but I like a challenge.

I actually feel as though i'm coming down with a cold as I have a blocked nose and I can feel a sore throat coming on. This will probably mean that I wont want to go anywhere after work anyway. I don't know whats wrong with me lately i've had something wrong with me every second week it seems! On a positive note my toothache has finally gone :).

Anyway these diaries won't read themselves so best get on.
Have a good Sunday evening all, it isn't Monday morning for 4 1/2 hours so enjoy every second, Cup_Cake xx

  • Hey cupcake,

Just read through your diary, keep up with your running its great for clearing your mind and takes your mind of your debts for a little while. Keep going you will get there!

    BP.
    cc & o/d debts 4/2/11 - 12209.
    total joint debts 4/2/11 - 25877.
  • I didn't post yesterday because I was poorly sick.

    Mood Today: :(
I'm still poorly! I had to come home early yesterday and i'm off work today as well.

    So money as is:
    £0 - Spends
    £25 - Groceries
    8 days until payday!
So yesterday I only spent £4 on my bus fare and nothing else :A. Today I obviously won't be needing bus fare so hopefully it'll be a NSD tomorrow.
I took £1 from my groceries yesterday for bus fare. I'll take any more needed from my change pot until I get paid.

    General:
The conversatory roof blew off . Luckily we only rent so it isn't us who need to pay for fixing it but still it's not very convinient. Someone is coming out tomorrow to give a quote and hopefully fix asap.

I'm going to buy some weighing scales so that DB and I can keep an eye on how much we're losing. It might give us the encouragement to stick to the diets.

Phone bill received and it's £100 this month . That means I have to find £50 from nowhere next month. Hmmm must get thinking.

I've been thinking about the £719 overdraft. This is the one that I want to pay off first and once it's gone i'll feel 1000% better about paying off my credit card.
When/if DB does this contract I should get £400 from him for the bills and then I have my annual bonus in March. Hopefully this should be around £300. If it all comes through this will pay off the overdraft. £300 of this is DB's so I will pay it off and then DB can pay off £300 of my credit card debt instead to even it out.
I know it's a lot of ifs and buts but that all I have at the moment.
I also get my shares in March which I can sell whenever I like. I'll withdraw them depending on when DB gets a contract.

Anyway thats enough babbling from me, hope everyones well, Cup_Cake xx

  • I've slightly amended my signature.

I've taken £12 off my £2 pot total for my bus fares for the rest of the week.

I've split it between mine and DB's debts. We're both obviously responsible for both as we're a couple which is why i've put them both on my sig but when DB is working he will be able to pay his off within a couple of week as he earns a lot lot more than me. I however will need a good couple of months to pay mine off.
Also all of these debts are in my name so when I log onto onto banking I see them all so can't really split between the two.

I'm also going to dig out some old handbags to Ebay today, I have waaay too many!

Thanks KP! I'm not feeling any better yet unfortunately. I just hope I feel better for work tomorrow, it doesn't look very good ringing in poorly with a cold.

Anyway, good news for the day, the company who delayed DB's contract rang today to say that they want him on Thursday :T. Not only that but they want him for 2 days longer than planned so 7 days in total. At £400 per day he will come home with £2000 after tax which he'll get on 4th March. He is going to give me 2 months worth of bills money too which means that I can pay £400 next month off my debts and £450 the month after :D.

We've been talking today and he is going to apply for some permanent jobs as the markets so slow at the moment. We've decided that we'll move away if we need to, I fancy a change anyway so im happy to do it.

    Anyway, money today:
    £12 - Spends (bus fare)
    £16 - Groceries

I spent £8 in the supermarket today. I bought chocolate brownies, fudge sauce and ben and jerrys ice cream :o. It was purely medicinal, and truly scrummy. I also bought some orange dilute.

Anyway I did nothing other than that, just felt sorry for myself. Hope everyone else has had a more productive day than me,

It was scrummy yummy, not great on the calories side though :o.
Thanks for the positive vibes KP, we really needed those :D.

I've woken up feeling rubbish again :(.

Not much to write really, it's going to be a quiet day lazing about and feeling sorry for myself.
DB is away tomorrow overnight so I must book his hotel today, the website was playing up yesterday.

How sad am I, i'm really looking forward to being able to pay off my section of the overdraft! I think things were just getting a little too tight for comfort so it'll be nice to have some spare again.

Anyway, thats all from me, Cup_Cake xx

    Morning all,

Stiiiill feeling rubbish. Not back at work today but i'm going to try and get back tomorrow. On the plus side it's saving me bus fare, its bittersweet.

So yesterday went to the supermarket again. I bought DB some things to take away with him. I spent £11 in total. This only leaves me £5 for groceries until next Wednesday :o although i'm thinking that because it's only me next week I should be able to scrape by.
It's bad badgeting on my part really because if it had been a normal week I would have had some left over.

    Anyway, money today:
£12 - Spends (bus fare, may only need £8 depending on whether i'm in tomorrow)
    £5 - Groceries

I have 2 £2 coins in my grocery budget so if I can be really inventive with whats in the cupboard until Wednesday I will be able to save them. Well I like a challenge.

The roof man has been today so we now have a conservatory roof again. He didn't charge us anything as it only needed sealing back on. Although this doesn't really benefit us as it's my landlady who would have had to have paid.

Not much else to report really. DB is away on his contract so i'm on my todd until tomorrow night and then all next week but i'm just going to be sat feeling sorry for myself anyway :p.

I just need to wash up today and i'm going to cook myself a chicken chinese stir fry for tea.

I have 5 items on Ebay which is a first for me so i'm keeping my fingers crossed. I also have a Radley purse to put on there which I got for a present a couple of years ago but have never used.

Have a good Thursday all, Cup_Cake xx

  • Fab news, i've just been accepted for a 0% credit card.
I currently have one but it runs out 15th March so hopefully my new one should arrive just in time for that one to run out.
It's 0% on balance transfers and 0% on purchases for 10 months.
If I still have a balance on the card within 10 months I give you permission to kick me up the bottom!!
