Hi all, I would really like to join this thread please. I go through fits and starts with ebay and have made about £150.00 in January this year. struggling a bit with the new regs on postage, but have tons of items to sell, just need to do it in bite size chunks and not get too fed up.
All ebay sales will go towards paying off my debts early yay!
Many thanks Dolly x :wave:Sealed Pot Challenge #1247 = £111.41/£5002011 Made on ebay to date £368.31 (exc P&P)Freebies £15 Amazon VoucherDFW Nerd * 1366, DFD September 2013 :jThe large print giveth, but the small print taketh awayTom Waits, Small Change :mad:0 -
I'm hoping for another free listing weekend this weekend, they were doing them every two weeks in November and December so hope they carry on, have all the stuff to relist that didn't sell last time.
Am happy with the amount I sold.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

That's a good idea... only problem is I don't fancy paying 50p to list as auction-format if he decides not to bidI would relist it at £20 start. The person who wants to pay you £20 can bid, and others might bid as well which will push the price up a bit
I think I'll just wait and relist on a fee-free weekend and hope I get bids this time - the item is well worth £25 & there were so many watchers that I'm surprised noone bid
I've listed 4x items tonight. I don't have much listed at all right now (4x auctions, 2x BINs), which feels a bit odd!0 -
I had an item end this weekend with 33 watchers - no one bid but I've since had two of them ask me if they can still buy the item as they missed the end. I told them both its going back on tomorrow and they can bid then. Hopefully they will create their own little bidding war
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -
Hi Everybody.
I have a business account on Ebay and things are going slow at the moment.
I also had a paid day job until friday, but I resigned (Long story).
I don't earn much money on ebay, I do it for a hobby and some extra income. Last year I only made a profit of about £448 after fees, etc.
Well yesterday I went to the Job centre to see if I could sign on and get contributions allowance, but I couldn't cos I do Ebay. They said if I give Ebay up for a while, then I could maybe get £65 week but it could take 5-6 weeks to process the claim.
I can't afford to risk that, so i decided not to claim.
Now all I want to know is, how do I pay my national insurance. I think I'm paying some on my ebay account through my tax return. I have submitted 2009-2010 and it give me a figure I owe automatically on the website. I've rung the Inland revenue three times today and spent 30 mins on hold altogether so I gave up.
I don't want to miss any of my stamps in case theres a shortfall later on. I presume I need to inform the Inland revenue that I only have the self employed Ebay job now and hardly earn anything.
Does anybody know what I can do please?0 -
Hi Binnie
I pay Class 2 NI contributions, they send me a bill every 3 months and I pay it at the Post Office. I don't really earn enough to have to pay it (could get exemption from it) but I'd rather pay it than not.
Think they sent me the forms when I registered self employed, can't remember now.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
Who do I ring please to ask? I can't ge tthrough to those Inland revenue lines lately?
If I am already paying it on my Ebay, do I need to pay anymore as I was also paying it on my day job?0 -
Not sure how it works if you were paying it in your day job. Also not sure what you mean about paying it on your Ebay.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160
