  • Hello everyone, I am happy to say that out of 15 of my items listed during FL weekend...9 of them sold. Although, they are all very small items (I am selling my bead stock) and with postage, ebay and paypal fee deducted I could be looking at approx £9-£10. I know it's not much but enough to get me excited to continue to list the rest of the 60 small items I have in my beading stock. I relisted the 6 that did not sell tonight and I also added another 8 items. And since I am starting my listing at 99p or less...I get free insertion which I did not realise. :wall:

So I have decided to list at least 5 items per day until I get all the small stock on and then move onto my cross stitch stuff and then hunt around for unwanted clothes. :D
    Barclaycard: £4,217.55/£5 = 0.11% | Tesco £3,810.55/£3,770.55 = 1.05%
    Total: £8,027.80/£5 = 100%/0.06%
    Mortgage £99,692/£51,652.33 51.8%
    Car Loan: £9,217.20/7,527.38 81.67%

  • Hi everyone :-)
I have been a bit quiet over the last week or so! Sold 17 items from the FLD at end of Jan but had to refund 2 items as I could not find them anywhere! Nightmare!

Oh, I've done this so many times... it's annoying :( But then a few days after refunding the buyer, I usually find the lost item!!!

Well my ebay listings are looking healthy - 28 end tonight, 11 have bids, totalling up to £68.01 at the moment :j Hopefully more bids will come in before they end.
  • Evening,
Hope everyone's listings ended tonight have done well.

I have sold 10 items and still waiting on some ending (5 have bids) which I listed super late last weekend :S

Going to have to dash into town early tomorrow and pick up more packaging supplies as I have hardly anything left.

    Thanks for the support :)

Well my one bidder turned out to be my only bidder, but she paid within six hours so I'm a happy Listerbelle. :)

Where do you all get your packing things from? Poundland seems to have most of what I need, but where can I get plain "tissue paper" from cheaply?

  • I'm not sure about where to buy tissue paper, but at Ikea they have loads of it to wrap things up in... that's where I got mine... although I did actually buy some cheap mugs when I was there.

I tend to just buy rubble sacks from the pound shop and use them like mailing bags - works out cheaper. Bubblewrap I have plenty of from buying various things, plus I reuse any packaging I get from things sent to me (jiffy bags, etc).

Today I posted 9x items and am still waiting on payment for 6x more.
  • Does anyone know where you can find out what the estimated delivery date is of an item you have posted, I know there is somewhere where it tells you the item will arrive between xx date and xx date but need to find where it is.

I posted an item on 14th 1st Large Letter that has not arrived and I just wanted to check whether it was still within the time frame for delivery or if the last date has passed I will just refund now.

    Thanks in advance.

TMD click 'view order details' on the drop down tab of the item you sold. Should give estimated time frame and under that the expected delivery dates.

Good luck with your listings sophiasmum. Back at work today and out tonight so no listing for me did take 10 parcels to the post office today though.

Big problems with non payers/delayed payments grrr

TMD - not sure if you were looking for the royal mail's compensation scheme http://www.royalmail.com/sites/default/files/P58_Inland_211111.pdf or for the actual item's delivery date. I'm sure someone will be by to help out.

Sounds like everyone has been pretty active. I've been away for work last week but was happy to come home to ~£75 in relist sales. Have 3 parcels being picked up today and will mail off 4 other items. I definitely need to be careful with my listings as I did not block out some areas like Norther Ireland and the CHannel Islands and my two big parcels were from NI. Fortunately, I found that MyHermes will post rather cheaply there even though I've had problems in the past with them. It's def better than the other couriers that were more than double. Would have had almost no profit with them.

Need to post so much more stuff especially clothes but just didn't have time the last FLW. ONly managed 17 relists - though 7 did sell :T so definitely worth trying.

Good luck with all your new postings everyone!

ps. CompletelyLost - funny about using rubble sacks as I just yesterday morning decided to do the same thing for my big items. Worked a treat though they're quite smelly.

    Well done on the sales!

Anti-smelly tip: include a clothes drier sheet in with your items :)
