Just been reading the royal mail restrictions to what you can post and I totally did not know that you're not allowed to send perfumes and aftershaves which may be flammable and nail varnish! I've sold both on ebay! Whoooops!
  • Knew it had been too long since I'd had a complaint.

Sold a leather jacket with faux fur lining for 99p plus £4 postage - it was quite heavy and went recorded.

Now buyer has been on, claims it's not leather and there is a label inside saying 100 per cent polyester, which actually refers to the lining.

She wants a full refund but won't return the jacket.

I've offered to cover her postage costs but still no.

Her feedback is also private, which concerns me.

Surely she can't expect a full refund AND to keep the item?

Tell her no item returned no refund, if she opens a dispute she will have to return it at her own cost.

  • That's what I thought, thanks, I just hope that eBay/Paypal think along the same lines.

I'm preparing myself for bad feedback, but only my third neg in about seven years of selling bits and pieces on there, so not too worried.

  • People who leave positive feedback but leave weird comments... what's that about.

I don't understand the people who do all the symbols in the feedback box. It doesn't make it pretty, it just looks confusing

Sold a couple of little things last week for a total of £3.87 after fees. Got another couple of 99p items on now which are both selling with three days to go. Hoping for a free listing weekend soon!

Really? I wonder how Boots and other chemists send theirs. They do keep these things quiet to confuse us don't they

Well I'm not sure whether I was reading the international guidliens or general guidlines because just before I closed the browser I read the word international and couldn't find the page after. So maybe it doesn't apply to the UK.
