I've heard costume jewellery does quite well on ebay. What's the best way of presenting it? Stuff like necklaces and bracelets?

Listed 7 items tonight and have a bid on one already.

Kids gone away to my parents this afternoon (2 hours away) so have 3.5 days to have a good sort out, get rid of a load of rubbish and junk and bits of toys that don't belong to anything and will hopefully find some more stuff to Ebay as well.

  • If you were going to be a business seller, how do you get hold of DVD's and video games at wholesale prices? Ive tried google, but all I've found for DVD's is places where you can buy bundles of really rubbish films! How do you get new releases etc wholesale?

I know you posted this a while ago, but I can't find much info at the mo. Think I will start a thread on it.

I've come across someone posting messages about a 'price comparison'-type site called game assassin on the wholesale forums but you have to pay a subscription fee. One deal is £2 for 7 days to view prices of various games, but I haven't tried it yet so can't really say if it's worth it. I will prob pay the £2 offer once I'm ready to start selling lots of games, but can anyone here tell me if it's any good?

I also came across a games supplier called click-entertainment, which seemed quite good (you have to buy at least 20 units of each title). However, I'm going round & round in circles researching this & can't find a clear winner or way to go about doing this.

Can someone please give me a kick up the rear to get me selling again? I think the most I've had listed in weeks is 3 items at a time. I'm selling things for a pitiful amount but it's getting things out of my house, right?

KT - I know what you mean! All I have done in the past few weeks is re list things that haven't sold. Not sure where my mojo has gone but it is definitely gone. So, I have a plan - I will attempt to list 5 items tonight while I am making dinner etc, and if I do it i hope that will give me the 'kick up the rear' you are talking about. Will check in tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
Think about why you are selling stuff - money for your holidays or saving for a deposit -whatever it is try and focus on the goal, and break it down to small chunks to be done regularly. And there is the added bonus of clearing the clutter, although in my case it is going to take a long, long time to clear mine! Let me know how you get on.

  • I've got a pile of books I'l like to get rid of but looking at the same titles from other sellers they don't even seem to be going for 1p *sigh*

I should realist some things today. Opened another 2 unpaid cases.

    Another 99p sale.

I'm getting so sick of 99p sales.

  • Well I have a target of £500 for selling things etc as year on year have beaten previous targets. Will keep you all posted of each sale. So far only £1.25 for some CD's I could release through musicmagpie!
