Ta! I posted this on the ebay clutter thread too, but I recently received 2 free O2 Sim cards and sold 1 on ebay (although they were local so didn't bid on it and just came and picked it up from my house) so I've got another one left to sell! I sold the first one for 99p :)

Thanks custardy - very useful to know :)

While reading a few onling blogs I just came across this little guide to selling on eBay which might be useful to anyone starting out http://www.littlebirdfashion.com/2011/04/selling-on-ebay-guide.html

I'm going to attempt half a dozen listings today so I've not done any for about two weeks
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • I'm spending the next few hours listing all of these books I have, get them on and if they don't go they'll go in the charity bag.

I've spent the afternoon cleaning my bedroom and found a few odds and sods to list. I'm also going through my old college folders atm, so I'm going to attempt to sell the folders and the thousands of plastic wallets that I'm taking the paper out of. Whether they'll sell is another thing though. If not they can go in the attic :)
  • I've got an envelope full of coloured paperclips.... hmm

You so should! Arrange them in a rainbow spiral! It would be so pretty! I'd buy them if I saw them on there (and was looking for stationary)
  • Seems eBay problems are like buses:

Sold a pair of new sandals on an auction for £2.20 plus £3 postage.

The winning bidder has emailed me twice asking for postage costs to post the sandals to an address in Malta, not her registered shipping address, which is in London.

My listing states I ship UK only.

I've contacted her saying I will only post to her registered UK address, as I sense problems.

I always feel long-winded, shouty listings (PLEASE NOTE I DO NOT POST INTERNATIONALLY. THIS MEANS I DO NOT POST INTERNATIONALLY) are patronising, but looks like there may be call for them.

Sorry, I know this isn't a selling question, but I'm a little worried about an item I'm bidding on. It's an iPod Nano with someones name engraved into it. My maximum bid is £25 but at the moment it's going for 10.50 and theres only a day left. Well about 4 days ago I messaged the seller asking if she would leave the music on it if I win as I've recently had my hardrive wiped by PC world, and she messaged me back yesterday (when the bidding was at £4.20) saying "I suppose I could, but the bidding would need to increase or I'm pulling the sale. I'm not letting this go for four quid...."

Is this allowed? Can she pull the bidding when people have started bidding on it? Is it allowed? I was going to message her saying to put it on buy it now for £20 and I'd buy it now but she took so long to reply to my other message there's probably no point. What happens if she decides she doesn't want to sell it? Surely she should have put a reserve price on it?
