Well I enjoyed getting my haircut although it wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped. I've got long hair and had about 4" off to get it back to healthy but I wanted more layers in than she did and I also wanted a proper fringe but I got a more swooshy to the side thing which has a tendency to annoy me already. I might cut my own fringe in....
The whole date thing has really got me down and this has been reflected in my week in that I've been rubbish with exercise (ie done none ) and have eaten sooo badly. My dinner on Friday was 5 hob nobs and two packets of Tesco's own brand wotsits (does that make it mse???)
:o:o
However I've got a thing of soup in the fridge at work so that will start me off on the right foot this week.
Plus I've also not got any plans for the rest of this week until Thurs when I go to my parents for the weekend.
I didn't type up my spends last weekend so here they are (and they are shocking....)
28th - £30 out - this covered lunch and then my spends on the date (I'm a modern girl and I generally go dutch)
29th - another £30 out - this covered some money on my Oyster card and then lunch and drinks at the pub for my friends b'day. I also bought some Tesco stuff on the way home....wine.....:o £13.66....then another £20 on my oyster card
30th - out with friend at V&A but this was covered by money I'd taken out earlier in week
31st - more tesco shopping £12.08 - lunch and other bits. Then popped into John Lewis after my haircut and bought some fabric on sale and some shearing elastic for the presents for friends ( £11.51)
Then online shopping, bought two bras from Ann Summers in sale for £11.95 which includes postage etc. They arrived on Saturday and are both lovely and fit so quite pleased with them. And I'm fussy with bras, hate lace, and one is black with pink ribbons and the other a cream silk slightly padded style. Then I bought some potatoes seedling things and a grow bag and other seeds in a fab offer from Thomson & Morgan where you only pay for postage £4.50
1st - more tesco shopping with £20 cash back £26.74 and my graze box (which I need to cancel) £2.99
2nd - more tesco £8.43 aaaarghhhhh how much am I giving that blooming store!!!!! And I've been eating really really badly...... that evening went out with a friend to La Tasca with a £10 for as much tapas as you can eat deal - my bill came to £18 including drinks and service and she gave me £15 for her share and I put the whole thing on my card so £33. The remaining cash went on various bits and bobs.
3rd - went to theatre with my friend to see a really interesting production by a dutch theatre group based on 3 Antonioni films. I owe him for the tickets for this and for another play we're seeing in 2 weeks so transferred £31 to him.
5th - my friend bought me dinner at this lovely Soho institution called The Gay Hussar - amazing hungarian food! Then we went to see an exhibition of Robert Mapplethorpe photography (free). However this was opposite the Sanderson hotel which is very swanky and very very gorgeous inside so I suggested we had cocktails in there - my treat....i'm hoping no one has read this far down now as they came to £25 for two cocktails including services :eek::eek: but they were lovely.....
Then stopped at Tatco on way home and bought some nibbles for the evening (my friend got the wine).
My flatmate and her friend then persuaded us to go out with them and we didn't get home til 3am having had a fab night out dancing but I spent £14 on my card in the bar on drinks (& vodka jellys) and then took £30 out as well :eek::eek:
6th - was supposed to go to my god-daughters 1st b'day but didn't go. I feel rubbish about this but I felt so ill, the tube is so expensive and I don't really do all that yummy mummy stuff and there were going to be 10 under 5s there. I know this is a rubbish excuse and also the little dress I'm making for her wasn't finished as my sewing machine is playing up.....aargh, I'm normally a good friend so I'm hoping I'm not too much in the bad books. I'll take a day off work soon and go out to see her. I've a days leave left this financial year.
:o:o Only spends today were £3.18 on NOTW & Mirror on Sunday plus 2 creme eggs for me and my flatmate.
So the dreadful total of the above is £318.....so am busted out of my budget and have an overspend already of £90......
I suppose the good news is that there is only one more weekend before payday and I'm at my parents. All I need to buy is the ticket for the coach down there (I've got my return already).
So that should be a cheap weekend. I've also got plenty of food, just need to do a menu plan and I can do that tomorrow night for the rest of my month (til 20th) based on minimum spends.
I've got lots of meat in the freezer and I need to get cooking again, I feel better for it and it can only be a good thing - there is that saying about healthy mind healthy body (mens sana mens copore???)
I've paid £200 off my cc and have got £78 left. There are no more DD's to come out so hopefully Ill have a bit left over to put towards my cc at the end of next week.
This month has been a shocker and I need to get to grips with a lot of things and sort myself out. I'm going to treat this as a learning curve......:o:oI've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Oh nice week make up! What was it about the date that made you feel so bad? X'The road to a friends house is never long'0

You have to have a blast every now and then and at least it was fun rather than guilt without the fun! I'm sure you can redeem yourself

I think I was just really gutted that we had a really fantastic date and I really thought that it was gonna lead somewhere. Sadly I didn't find out about the huge weighty baggage until the end of the date.
I was just on a bit of a downer about my carppy love life karma.....first decent date in ages and he is already taken :eek::eek:
Anyway, I know I will get over it and so onwards and upwards (cue playing plenty of Xtina and Adele!)
On the money front:
7th - £20 in tatco on food for the week & £20 for two tickets to a climbing wall session which should be fun and my friend will pay me the tenner back got hers.
8th - no spends!!!
9th - stupid graze - £2.99. National Express to my parents £10.50 (quidco'd it)
10th - £30 cash for various bits and bobs. £10.80 on a train ticket for work. £20 on my oyster....
12th - another £20 to pay for lunch and then £5.83 in a fabric shop near my parents - all bits and bobs for presents and I got stuff I needed so that was cool.
13th - £14 at M&S - food for the week ahead.
Have been v. bad - am now overdrawn by £112.45:eek::eek:
I think that I shouldn't need to spend any more money now til payday on Friday...wow what an achievement!
I think that I've not budgetted for some big stuff and then also have spent way too much on going out.
Still this weekend should be a quiet one and I can do some proper thinking and working over of my budget and stuff.
I had a lovely weekend with my parents, very chilled and my mum gave me some gorgeous tweedy fabric to make a skirt with. I think my nan bought it years ago and never used it.
I also used my mum's sewing machine to finish a cute smocked dress for my god-daughter's birthday present. Just hope I can get my mahcine working again, I'm sure I'm just being stupid so I'll fiddle about with it again soon.
On other money news .... and not good... I work in local government and we just had our proposals through for our cuts / restructure. Quite a few jobs going sadly
I think I might be ok as my job isn't being quite so harshly cut (15 out of 98) but others are seeing really drastic stuff (38 out of 48 jobs and then 35 out of 76 of another!) We're on a pay freeze as it is...aargh!
I'm really hoping I get the census job - that would totally sort me out...but they just keep emailing saying they'll let me know. Has anyone else heard about the jobs?????I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction
