Glad you saw the boy's again, will be thinking of you all next week.
I must have missed the original turkey saddles post, I had a look at your homepage & thought they were maybe something to go over the arm of the sofa to keep your remote control's in or something (particularly like the material with the leaves on). But thought I'd google turkey saddles to clarify exactly what they are  they really are saddles for a turkey:easter: well that's something new I've learned today. Thank you lolBooo!!!0 -
Well after phoning the social workers yet again, I finally had a call back. But I am not really the wiser. Expenses should have been paid, they were processed 4 weeks ago. So now its a matter of chasing the accounts department. Not good.
The social worker we deal with is off on long term sick so we have been allocated another social worker. Who is to still make themselves known to us.
Re the SGO they are no further on as they dont seem to know where my daughters affermations are and or where the correspondence between them and our solicitors has gone! So thats got to be all done again.
Re the SGO now that my son has moved out we have to submit a new financial plan over the amount of funding they will pay me.! So I may not get what we had been quoted now.
So basically it feels like we are back to square one.
The only possible light at the end of the tunnel is that its dragged on since last September, and now we may be still able to get the holiday funding. Lets see. But in this economic climate we probably will fall foul of some rule or other.
Anyway I am not going to stress about it. It would have been nice to have had our money owed, but at least we are still ok financially and I have money still in the bank.
Molly called in on her way passed which was a nice surprise so we have had a good chat. Although DGD has messed up the sittingroom with all the cushions on the floor and all the pillows off of her bed too.
The person who was due to come to collect the matteress at 1pm, has phoned twice now, and still running on not sure. So I have not managed to get out to the post office. So sorry EE and ioiwe, the post will have to wait until Saturday.
Not thrilled.
Did i mention that the housing have passed my problem re the glass to the Void team and asking for an inspector to come out next week. I suppose thats the best I can hope for with the holidays coming up.
I am not sure what BF is up to yet. But I am hoping we will do a shared weekend, part here and part there. That helps me get more things done, and then we can relax when we go to his!.
DGD has pigged out on chocolate today. Sneaked out an easter egg I didnt realise that she could reach, and I have just seen the debris of it! Must have done that while I was on the phone. Cheeky mare, she will suffer for that one later, (if there is any justice in this world!). Or else when I tell her it will make her ill she will never believe me again!.
Time to cook some sausages for our tea. Quick and easy. Bet the matteress woman comes in the middle of it!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Thanks.
Yes they really are Saddles for Turkeys! They make me smile even now!. Perhaps I should be selling more of them on Ebay, the ones on there are all very plain and boring! Perhaps it will catch on!
We will let EE's turkeys road test them first.!

Well the matteress wasnt collected. So we will have to arrange it again. If she doesnt come today, then I will be putting it back on freecycle.
Its Twin1's morning with DGD today. We are not sure the stay and play is on, but she was going to take her to the park if not. Alas this morning its been raining. So we will have to see if the sun comes out and dries it all up.
I didnt get anything done last night. Was just too tired and sore. I ended up watching the programme about Lost Family and cried. Children being adopted is a bit of a sore point for me.
I hope that we can get the family story all through to the boys, so that they are able to know all about the family etc and not feel that we as a family didnt want them. It will haunt me for the rest of my life.
I have decided to upgrade my sky tv package to include more childrens channels, I am saying its for DGD's benefit but actually its probably for mine too, as if I see the same "little Bear" or "timothy goes to school" again I think I will scream. At least with more channels I will get a variety of programmes tunes to infiltrate my subconscious and I may not find myself lying in bed with the dam theme tunes running through my brain and keeping me awake!. Its only £1 more a month so I think I will manage that!.
I wanted to use my sewing room in the evening, but I am just a bit too tired at the moment. Need to pace my days, as its only the days when I manage to have help with DGD that I manage to have the energy to sew.
I have some wonderful fabrics just waiting for me to turn them into something, and some pretty clothes to recycle into other things.
I saw some very unusual jackets and clothes from a company called Ness, I think it was; From a scottish company from near lockness, some very lovely tartans and tweeds. So lovely, makes me want to create things just as beautiful, but of course constructing jackets is not as easy as making bags! (or turkey saddles)
My BF was undecided about what we were to do this weekend. Sounds like he has to be there for his daughter, to drive her to work at 7.30 in the mornings for her job. Which means he will not be coming here.
He is planning a lie in this morning, and then he will have his usual jobs to do at his house, washing, ironing, cleaning etc that he always does, and baking, if he has the stuff. he likes making cakes/cheese cakes etc Jamie Oliver recipies that his son gave him. So It looks like I am here on my own today. Perhaps we can go and see him towards the end of tomorrow.? I am again, waiting for him to tell me what he wants to do.
(Part of me thinks, sod you, and the other part of me, thinks well he doesnt get much time off of work and he doesnt need a 3 year old around him all the time that he is off)l. Mind you its hard to think the last part without loosing a little bit of graceousness!.
Will I ever get used to the situation. ? I dont think I will.
Right, today.
We have a couple of hours to get ready and then go to see Mum, then I will have about an hour to myself. Not enough time to come home and go back again. (would give me about 10 minutes at home, so not cost efffective. Especially as I don't get my funding for contact). My parents are away, so there will not be any milk etc at thier house, and the satalite TV is with them in the caravan. So no watching the wedding on that.). The charity shops I love to mooch around will be closed. Not sure what will be open actually. Probably not much at all.
Perhaps I better put a book in the car with me.
So frustrating as I could have practically made a whole bag in that time, if I was at home.
I think that we will need to re think the contact for DGD if the Stay and Play is not on, and indeed if it is on, so that I am doing something a bit more constructive then either just driving about or hanging about.! mmmm think on.
I had a slightly better night, and managed a four hour stretch between 2 and 6 this morning. Which makes a change from waking every 2 hours.!
I didnt wash up last night. So I better think on and get the kitchen sorted out, and the washing on the line. Looks like the sun is trying here anyway. Good. That will help considerably. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I cried at the Lost Families programme too Mooloo
I have the Wedding on the tv. Missed the begining. Because I took DGD to her Mum.
Alas her Mum's place was in a state, so I couldnt leave her there, so with a phone call, they were both dropped at her sisters. Which is in a slightly better state thank goodness.
As there is also another person there, who is reasonably responsible, I felt easier at leaving DGD.
So I have a couple of hours negotiated so that I could come home.
Don't know why but I feel very tired. So early in the day too.
Would like to have seen the fashions of the famous but missed that bit.
Dont want to waste my precious time, so I think I am about to say farewell to the celebrations and go and start to make something in my craft room. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning, Well like all my plans I didnt actually get as far as my work room. I had the washing to hang out and then it was time to go back for DGD.
Mums jobseekers was not paid to her, another hick up in the system, so Mum to the rescue again!
When I got back I changed into my jeans and started on the garden. BF rang and asked if he could come over. As if he needs to ask. Anyway he came over and as I was talking to the neighbour when he arrived, he got to it and fixed the oven door. (so I dont need the washingpowder to keep it shut now!). Then he took over the strimmer. He had as little success with the feed as I did. Then it started to rain. Pity for the street party down the other end of our street.
Anyway on the inside he then started to tackle my loft ladder. Which bless him, took him hours, and with my tool box being very basic he didnt have all the right tools. He has got the ladder installed, but he couldnt get the loft hatch back on until he has the right tools.
I fed him for his troubles. But was sad that he had to go back home because he has to take his daughter to work at 7.30 in the mornings.
(And he says my kids rule me!!!).
We (that is DGD and I) are going to go over thiers later today. I asked when shall we come, and his reply was, "when ever your ready". So I will potter around this morning, and see how the day goes, and pack our bags with stuff to last us until Monday again.
Of course all my activity means that I am very sore this morning. Have taken my tablets, hoping that my heatpad will heat the spot, and I will be back on form in a little bit. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well I am back from my jaunt to Oxford. We had a good time, but I think I overdid the walking this weekend, and for some reason my left arm is messing me up again. Its been a while really since I felt that it was "over worked". I thought I had found my happy medium, but obviously not.!
DGD was reasonably well behaved, and we went to University Parks to feed the ducks, and then today to Millets Farm to see the animals. She had a go on the bouncy castle and we bought a few bits to eat and picniced in the carpark.
I am very tired today, as I didnt sleep very well last night. Kept waking up and BF was also tossing around alot so between us we kept waking the other one up!
I sat resting at his yesterday and hand sewed!! a bag together. All it needs now is a lining. I didnt take any lining fabric with me. It did make my finger a little tender after all the sewing, but it kept me occupied while BF powerjetted off his patio, and DGD played in the garden, and I was able to sit in the sun sewing. However it would not be cost effective to hand stitch all my bags thats for sure!.
I have bought back a couple of carrier bags of clothes that the BF's daughter no longer wants. Some to sort out to see if they are any use to anyone else in the family, my sewing, or if not, will drop them off at the charity shop.
Mind you there is a nice LeeCooper sweatshirt that I think she only wore once, so maybe we should be trying to sell it on fleabay.
Right I must make us up a concoction for our teas. See what is lurking in the fridge/cupboards etcWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Oooh, we love Millets Farm (it's quite near my Mum, sister and brother, it's only me that lives so far away). You should take DGD there when the maize maze has grown, you'll have a great time in there , and when you find the middle they give out ice lollies.0
