I shall be having a very early night tonight.
DGD has been a handful all day. The temper tantrums have been over the smallest thing today. I am sore with carrying her kicking and screaming up to her room.
    She battled over everything.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
  • Sounds like you have had a chaotic day Mooloo! I managed to get out for a couple of hours for a bit of sale shopping & dinner with my daughter. It is lovely to enjoy her now she is that bit older. It's like going out with a little friend! You'll get to that stage soon enough with your DGD. I know it feels like a lifetime away at the moment, but it'll come. x
  • Hope you have a better day tomorrow mooloo - maybe when she gets back to routine and nursery things will improved

Hopefully we will achieve a few things today,.
Just off totake DGD to Nursery. Bit of a drive now, but best to keep her where she knows for a little bit. (and I have to give them 2 months written notice).
DS is asleep on his new sofa bed, have told him the Buildings inspector is due anytime from 9am. Same timeas the car is due at the garage. Miles away!
Here is hoping that DGD will not tantrum on getting into the car.
    Catch up later.

Been a bit of a busy morning.
DGD rebelled at going to Nursery. Getting very clingy with all the changes going on.
Car went to the garage, they did their own test and confirmed my previous test. (of course) The lambar? sensor is damaged. I got to go under the car, and see the damaged part. Done when the exhaust was put on. So now need to deal with them and complain, and charge them. Hassle.
The other sound is my wheel bearing is making a noise, and needs replacing. Boarderline pass MOT. But needs doing. Am home, but waiting for the cost of the parts and labour, and a day for the garage to do the work. (More expense).
Have been to council and chased up the benefits claims, they are going to look into it.
The Fish Insurance for my Independant Living Allowance, has billed me the insurance policy fee of £135, and am now chasing the Council to find out why, as I am not supposed to pay this year, but start paying next year.
The last few things from the cottage now need collecting, DS and I will venture out in a bit.
I hve telephoned the secretary of the Childrens Services, boss, and said that If I do not get my problem resolved by the end of this week, I will be going to the BBC in Northampton.!See if that kicks them into some sort of action.!

Have ordered a new telephone, via quidco of course, with a package for the xbox which DS wanted for his birthday. Hopefully killing a couple of birds with one stone.! so to speak. If I am accepted it means that my credit history is getting better. (If I am turned down, I will have to stay on the Pay as you go, and get his gadgets elsewhere.).

Morning, an early start, and a wasted start. Up at 6am to get DS ready for the first day back at college. But he decided that he was feeling sick, and not well enough to go. He drives me mad. He was well enoough to stay up half the night watching Films on Sky! (Which I caught him and twin1 doing around 1am!). So he has gone back to bed, and the rest of us are all awake now! Typical. I am sorry, if he is really ill, but I have seen it so many times before, and I dont believe him. Cry wolf too many times.
That boy has no backbone! Which makes me sad, as well as annoyed. But he is 18 in a few days time, he is over 6ft tall with a moustache! So he is a man! I cannot force him to go.

DGD has thrown the first rebelious stint of the day, over breakfast. But the time out on the naughty step, as talk to her at her level, and she is now eating the cereal and not the pudding she wanted.

Molly is hoping to venture out today, and visit. So fingers crossed that she is well enough. It would be good to see her and have a chat.

No reply from the SS yet. Wonder what the post will bring, and what kind of time of day the postman/woman visits here?

Now I have had a moan, I will try and get on with things. DS didnt go to the cottage with me yesterday, so I ddnt go. The inspection was due yesterday,so I suppose the estate agent will moan that there are a few bits and bobs still in the shed/greenhouse.

Twin2's BF has started a new job at the leisure centre, its only Part time, but its a start. He really has tried hard to work.

I am allowed to go and see the boys this Thursday, as the other grandparents went last week apparantly. So something to make up for missing them last week when the car broke down.

My parents are due back from there shortened holiday today. Always like it when they are back, as am good friends with them as well as them being my parents!. Talk to Mum on MSN all the time when they are home.

Well it was lovely to see Molly today. We had a couple of cups of tea and a good natter. DGD was much quieter this afternoon, thank goodness. She is now having a little play before bed.
My new phone arrived, and after a phone call to Vodafone to get my number from the pay as you go phone to the contract one, am now back on track. They originally told me that they couldnt change it, and i told them that they can, and must or I would loose hundreds of £'s on my stationary.! He put me on hold, came back a few minutes later and hey presto it was ok.
There has been no sign of Biggest of Mooloo's Car. So she is still having to cadge lifts and borrow cars.
I have lined up meetings at two of the local nurseries. So we can compare and try to get DGD into a nursery nearer us. Also now ht she is 3 and passed one term, she can now meet the criteria for State funding, 15 hours. So we will see what happens.
The nursery she is in are now charging me £25 a day (slight discount of £7) while she is still there.
As i didnt pay it yesterday they were on the phone today. ! I said I will drop it in tomorrow.
I am hopefully going to see the boys tomorrow now.
Very tired tonight, and will be off to bed early me thinks.!

So pleased Molly managed to get to see you.

Bah to DS with no backbone but well one to Twin2 OH getting work.

You seem to have DGD's tantrums under control with the help of the Super Nanny tips :T

Fingers crossed the Postman brings some lovely cheques from SS with them!

Enjoy your time with the boys tomorrow.

DS actually got himself up for college and was up and out the door early! I heard him making a cup of coffee in his room. Think I am still in shock!
Getting ready to go and see the boys. Lets pray we dont have a repeat of last week.
DGD was sick in the night. So I feel a bit guilty that DS might really have been unwell. However, I have told DGD that it was becuase she didnt stop eating all day! She is a one for raiding the fridge and cupboards at the slightest opportunity.!
Anyway I better get on. Onl 30 mins and I must leave. Further to go now, (but better roads).

  • Mooloo I saw a programme about kids snacking too much so they let the children decorate their own little box (stickers etc) and then each day they are allowed to pick 3 snacks to put in it to eat throughout the day then that is it no more snacks. So they could choose things like a piece of fruit/cheese/crisps/crackers/snack pot/jelly pot/yoghurt etc and they went to their own box throughout the day between meals.

Don't know if that would work for DGD?
