I had a very interrupted afternoon. DGD wouldnt stay in one place very long. But I have managed to pack her bag, of her clothes anyway. while doing that I have gathered together a plastic sack of stuff that Biggest of Mooloo can have to put away for her daughter, as they are too small for DGD.
Mind you she has a lot of clothes I had forgotten that she had, that are still going to be ok for this summer.
So I dont think I need to buy her much for a little while, but she will need a complete new wardrobe of clothes for the winter. She is not going anywhere near any of the winter stuff even now really!.
Biggest of Mooloo gave me some money back, so DGD and I will be fine for our Holiday. I will worry about the savings when i get back.
When I asked my BF if we were having a holiday this year, he only shrugged. So I will just take that as a maybe. It will depend on what money is around I suppose.
I will just have to follow the frugal challenge more diligently when i get back, stick to, the revised budget I did the other day, and tweek it to even less if I can.
Without DGD suffering the consequences anyway.
The family (i.e. DS and the twins) have been told No more from the bank of Mum. I doubt I will stick to it completely, but I really am going to try harder this month.
I am exhausted, and still have masses on my list to do. the garden will need clearing up from DGD's playing and the washing will need bringing in soon.
But for now I am having a small rest!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
The weather looks set to stay for a few more days so hopefully you will enjoy it whilst away, its bought me visitors all dya long from 10.00 am (that just stopped me getting on with things).
Maybe for the bank of mum set up an emergency fund with say £20 a month for the kids when they run out of elecy etc and use it as you see fit but when its gone its gone and they'll have to fend for themselves - you may even get a couple of months when they dont ask for anything - but it's something you could work into budget and not react to crisis when you can least afford it.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -
Gizmo, I think I will do that. The budget has been twisted out of all recognition of late.
Time to bath DGD. Then an early night, I am exhausted. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Glasses case and make up bag have found thier new home. Well they are ready to post on Monday morning anyway.
I thought I might have gained a bit of energy but I really am tired so I am going to go to bed now. Saturday night, and an early one! No wine, no BF. But ohh my lovely new matteress to sleep on!.
Night all. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

And a certain young lady is already thinking of other little projects that she'd like
Have a great break and relax for a while Mooloo, you deserve it :T0 -
Morning, I would have liked to have had a bit more of a lie in, but DGD was in the room wanting a story of the little piggy, before 7am!
We had a story, then we have been down for a while. The sun is coming in the front room windows from over the roof tops accross the road. It looks like another lovely day in store for us. (which is good in one way, but distracting in another, as I have my clothes to seek out and iron, and pack.). I know they will need ironing, as I am terrible for not ironing until I have too!).
I have asked Twin1 to come over today, so she sees her daughter before we go away, so I have a trip to town to collect her, and I have said I will do a sunday roast. Think that it will be our evening meal in this heat. I cooked the pork yesterday, while being industrious.
I have the bag all ready to pack and send tomorrow, when it finishes on ebay tonight. I hope it goes for more than the 99p its on. But never mind what ever it goes for, it will get my work out there, and my business cards too.
I may actually take my sewing machine with me, (I know you may think I am mad), but I have a few things I want to practise. Especially as I have some ambitious things to create when I return, and its been a long time since I did anything but simple sewing.). I will see, if I have the space in the car, and if I dont have time to sew, it doesnt matter. But if I find myself at a loose end, say if I have walked too far and cannot join the others, or something, then I can play about and create. I will probably get inspiration while I am away. I usually do.
I have tried very hard to have a few no spend days, and to cut back on stocking up until I come back off of holiday. (I had thought I would stock up for DS originally, but as he is no longer coming back home, I dont need to do I. So running everything low. I will shop when i get back.
Well my omeprazole has had its 30 minutes before I eat, so I can get some toast now. (made from my bread I made yesterday). Ran out of marmalade so its jam, not so favourite, but hey ho. Thats what being Frugal is all about. Making do and mending. Ah, mending, thats what i didnt do last night. Mmm the mending. Another thing on the list then!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well the plans for the day all changed. It was such a lovely day that I went to see my parents this morning. Then my Dad set up the BBQ, he even went to MrT and bought a paddling pool for DGD for the afternoon! Twin1 met us there and we had a lovely time. Not getting home until nearly 5pm.
So still have my packing to do. Well half is now done, I have a few bits left that still need ironing. Then I will have done the main packing. The rest is all the odds and sodds! Molly has collected DGD's bike and scooter to take. Leaving me space in the little car for my cases etc.
Twin1 is going to do DGD's bedtime routine for me, so I can get on.
Its been such a wonderful afternoon. I really feel Happy!. the happiest I have felt in a while.
DGD had such fun. It was lovely to watch her splashing about in the pool. I even had a bit of a walk around in it to cool off.
What glorious weather. I hope everyone has had a good day.
Cannot believe we are actually going on holiday tomorrow.
Better do that last ironing. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I hope the weather stays glorious for your time away Mooloo and Molly. Enjoy yourselves!0

Happy Holidays :j:T:j:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Thanks guys.
I have most of my packing done now. a few jumpers in just incase.
Havent worked out what i may take to play with on the sewing front yet. We will have to see in the morning. As I am too tired now.
Its been tireing sitting in my parents garden, watching DGD playing in the pool. (And taking her up and down the stairs to the loo!). Luckily I have been feeling much better and didnt find the stairs too much of a trouble, as long as i got to stop when I got back down!.
DGD is up in bed, but not asleep yet. Her Mum is off to bed as she doesnt feel well. So I am on my own again. The kitchen looks like a bomb hit as Twin1 did the cooking. We were supposed to have a sunday roast. But we ended up with a pancake! We werent hungry!
someone is going to be getting a bargain with my bag on Ebay, 99p!! lucky person. I hope they love it! Good job its made from fabrics I have for other projects! although I am going to have to start workingout the costings as the Business link say I need to keep records etc etc.
Right time to finish the glass of wine I poured earlier, and get in the holiday mode!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
