Evening Everyone, I am back thanks to Molly's wonderful husband sorting out my laptop!.
I did manage to do some sewing while I was off line though. I made a quilt for the moses basket and a glasses case and makeup bag for someone.
    So I was not idol.
Its been a lovely day so after going to take DGD to see her Mum at the Stay and Play, I went to my parents, and my lovely Dad washed my car, and I hoovered it out inside. Which actually is quite difficult for me, with my arm etc.

The doctors changed my medication yesterday, so hopefully it will reduce my stomach problems. Hopefully it will also help me with my aches and pains.
    Time will tell.

My BF briefly called by today after his work, before going back on his way. He wanted to swap suitcases with me. He is lending his to his son who will not go with an Orange one, and as my one is grey and black/silver he is having that one instead.
I dont mind what colour my bag is as long as I have a bag.

My slice machine has arrived, so I am trying to work it out. I have managed to cut out paper with it, very easily. Which is what it was designed for, but I want it for cutting out fabrics. Which is not so easy to get it to do. I have to fiddle around with the blade height etc. I managed to cut out a sample in my curtain lining, but its not giving me any joy on my CathKidston fabrics. I will have to get the bond a web stuff and try it with that. They do demonstatrate it cutting fabrics, Mum and I watched the video. But trial and error. Also the one I have is from someone on Ebay, and I think that I may also need to change the blade. We will see.
I actually managed to reduce the pile of boxes from the front room by 2. So I actually only have 2 left! One is full of fabric, the other has the pasta maker, and the chocolate fountain amongst other things in it!. So I will need to dispose of them somewhere! But I am pleased that I have finally started on the boxes again. Mind you I am exhausted now. I will be glad when DGD is in bed, and I will probably be right behind her.

I slept a little better with the new matteress, so I am hoping that I will sleep better as the nights go on. Although next week we are on hols so I will probably have to adjust all over again to a different one! Oh well. Now if the weather is anything like this wouldnt that be lovely.

I still havent packed anything. But I still have the weekend to do it. I will get on and do more tomorrow. I was soaking up the sun for a bit this afternoon. Who wouldnt?

Whoopie, I am learning to be technical! ha. I have tried to sort out my blog that i started last year, then abandoned.
I have managed to put a link in my profile. (I think!). Today I have added a few pictures of the moses basket that I finished yesterday.! Although they look at bit blurred! I will need to practise my photography.
Which i am going to do now, and see if I can photo the glasses case and makeup bag that i also made yesterday while I was withouth the laptop.

I will have to remember to update the thing now! I am usually always on here, so thats going to be difficult for me.

it could be worth trying to ebay the chocolate fountain and pasta maker: or put a postcard in local shops? this is a good time of year for shifting the choc fountain because PTAs might want it for school fairs!

popcorn maker too, that would go down well at a school fair ...

never seen the point of a pasta maker myself, well, I've always thought 'life's too short' at any rate!

Once upon a time I was in the kitchen all the time, with a huge kitchen, and a large family, with extended family and friends always around. ! At one time there was 8 of us living at home, and numerous of the kids friends on stop overs.!
I got the pasta maker as a wedding present 8 years ago., but havent used it in 4 years!! Just kept promising myself that I will use it, when I have the space!.:o
Now, I don't suppose my arm would allow me to do all the winding of the handle while the pasta gets flattened, cut etc etc!

I will get them all together, clean them up, and see if we can help the local schools. I could ask the nursery if they want the popcorn maker etc, or the school near by I suppose.
    Or as suggested, Freecycle it.

Today I have to concentrate on the clothes for the holiday, only 2 sleeps left!! eek.

Moses%2BBasket2.JPGThis is the moses basket and cover for Biggest Of Mooloo's new baby, due in May. Not a brilliant picture but you will get the idea. I posted it on my new Blog page. But I am not very good at it yet. Technology is a bit of a mystery to me.

Re the unwanted popcorn/pasta maker etc - are they ok to sell on ebay? If so you could maybe make a little money for your various funds which might help a bit.

Molly has already asked for the pasta maker, so that will go to a good home. I will sort the others out when we get back and see whats what with them.

I am in the mood to sew, but have been supervising DGD in the garden. she has now decided we can come in for a bit. Which is good timing before the heat of the day I suppose.
Although personally I would like to sit there and be a sun worshiper. I remember when we lived in cyprus that my mum had her sewing machine on a table out in the garden, under the shade of a tree I think it was. Seems like a brilliant idea to me. Perhaps I will source the table out. Now where did the spare table end up? I think it went to DS for his TV etc. I will have to reclaim it. Especially if he isnt here very much.!
If the weather is good when we are back, I will prepare for a bit of outside work.! :T:rotfl:

Now, alas before I sew, I must gather together all the things on my list and put them on the bed ready to pack. (thanks for the reminder EE). x
