There isnt anything that I know of. Sometimes the round table give out food, at Christmas etc. The Social workers tend to suggest families in need, or the health visitors, but dont have anything else. I will investigate incase something new has happened.
They have a Bromford Housing Support worker, but they only see them once in a blue moon, and dont really seem to do anything but help with the forms for Rent and Council Tax.

I had a phone call from the boss of the Fostering Team that Had done all the questioning again. She appologiesed, agreed that the service had failed me, and that lessons had to be learnt. etc etc. But after 36minutes on the phone I just felt wretched all over again!. I told her that Social Services are supposed to be there to keep families together not tear them apart. That I have had enough at the moment, and what with the boys adoption on the roll, I really have enough on my plate to deal with.
We will have to see what the next step is, she did say that I could put a complaint in. I said I did I filled in one of the forms the other day. But we will see what happens or in my case, probably doesnt happen.

I told her . I have no faith in Social Services in Northamptonshire at all.

Today Molly and I are due to go on our Crafting Course. Alas both of us were ill yesterday. I went down hill rapidly and was up in my room by 6.30 and DGD was watching Tv in hers. although I didnt go to sleep until after DIYSOS had finished.
I will have to pace myself this morning, as I really dont want to ruin the weekend.

The nearest food bank is some 20 miles plus from the twins, in Banbury. But I do not know how they would get there, if there is no money for food, there is no money for Busfares, or for petrol. I think that I will have to see about contacting the Adult Social Services again, but I am not sure the twins will take to kindly to them "interferring in thier lives" all over again. As we have asked and they have refused help saying they didnt need help. They really are unbelievable. What will happen to my girls and DS, when I am no longer able to help, or have gone from this world.? Will they be on the streets? Will they be taken advantage of even more? I dread to think.

I have my fingers crossed that you and Molly are both OK enough to enjoy your crafting weekend.

Not sure what to say about your worries for the children when you cannot help them any further, I think all parents worry about that but you have more reasons that most.

    Good Morning Mooloo,

I do hope both you and Molly feel well enough to enjoy your crafting weekend.

As for the food bank in Banbury; could you give them a ring and see if they do deliveries for vulnerable people? I've been involved with a couple of similar organisations over the years and both did deliver to, and keep an eye on some of their clients who needed help with aspects of their lives (befriending, form-filling, etc).

Not heard from Molly so far this morning. Hope thats not a bad sign!.
I have already tripped getting into the shower and bashed my forehead on the window! and tripped on the bottom stairs stubbing my toe! Sure its not Friday the 13th!!
DGD's grandad has requested she goes with certain toys he gave her for her Birthday, except I cannot find some of them! She usually chooses what she wants to take to play when she goes anywhere from home. She is not into the dolls etc and princess dresses he keeps buying her. Oh dear.

Few minutes and we will have to go to the Health Centre for her to be weighed. Approved foods text that the delivery is now due between 8.40 and 9.40am today. Only just got the message at 8.15! So didnt give me much notice to try and arrange anything differently. Usually takes a lot longer, so I suppose thats a good thing, its just that we have to go out by 9.20! S0dds law!.

    Time to fly.

Molly has text to say when they are picking me up. So we are on a go.
I have packed, all that I think i need, and probably more. Hope Molly's Hubby is strong! My sewing machine is old so its quite heavy really.
Not sure if I will take the lap top though. Will see if Molly is taking hers. (hers is more compact then mine!).
DGD has gone off to her Mums this morning, and her Grandad is collecting her from there.

I shall investigate the food bank more when I get back, as I have given them enough food to carry them through the next week plus. If they are careful and dont waste food then they should make it last two weeks. however there are other teenagers there. I found one of them on the sofa asleep who has his own place, but he has run out of electric, and money, so he was stopping on the sofa. I chatted for a while with him, and DS, and it is apparant that there are a lot of them in the town, who Sofa Surf, and who when the money runs out, go and stop around thier friends. That the adverage £50 a week they are getting is not enough, as the electric takes around £20 a week, then there is the water rates, and then food, TV licence, and of course mobile phones.
These people do not have enough to live on, and its a disgrace that the government will only give youngsters £50 and not the £65 that others get. £15 will feed these kids, and they would be able to survive- just- with that. Instead they borrow, cannot pay back and end up in a mess!.
If I had the strength I would campaign for them, for the vunerable like my girls, and those thrown out of home, those that leave the Social Service care when they are 16 and 18. There are several of them in the houses where twin1 used to live., and more on the waiting list.

I am going to have a sleep now, so that I am up and ready for Molly in an hour or so.
Have a good weekend and I will catch up Sunday, if not before.

I know Mooloo's not going to think about this over the weekend, and I hope she and Molly have a lovely time crafting and that they both keep well, BUT

it's definitely worth contacting the food bank in Banbury, not least because Trussell Trust are opening them at the rate of one a week atm, and each one usually knows where the next nearest / next opening one in the area is.

    Hello, we are back!
Molly had such a good experience she is going to go back on another course this weekend coming! I would love to have joined her but obviously I have DGD so not this time.
I shall take pictures of my makes and get them posted up.
I was very tired, and both of us had to go and have a rest at times. But we had a good experience, the place was welcoming, comfortable and the food was of a high standard so it was like stopping at a 4* place if you ask me.
The lessons were light hearted, but we were all beavering away to do as much of the decorations as we could. I am a bit behind, having to rest in the afternoon yesterday, and retiring to bed before the end of the last evening lessons, but I got the information and i hope that i will be able to make the rest of them. We will soon see!.
Just waiting for DGD to come back from her Grandad's now. I hope that she had a good time, and that they enjoyed her company enough to want to repeat the experience.
If only my arm wouldnt let me down, and my medications make me so tired, I would be so busy with my creating. I loved it.

Well here are the first three decorations that I was able to make. Not the best of photos, but it was done in a hurry at the college. I will do a better picture of them later in the week.
