No need to thank me Mooloo x It is what true friends are for and I know that you would do exactly the same, if not more, for me xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
There are fireworks going off behind us, and as we missed them yesterday I thought DGD would like to see them. But after seeing about 3 she wanted to come back in, she said she would rather just hear them! Strange child.
I am having an early glass of wine. I was looking foreward to it on Friday, but of course never got it as was at the hospital. I am tired so know we will be in bed early tonight.
I forgot to mention that my doctors and physio were all fine on Friday. Nothing to be worried about at least.
I have had some notification from Paypal of a payment into my account, and I cannot for the life of me think where its come from? I know I have a terrible memory but this is rediculous. Maybe my memory will come back by the morning? Tiredness hasnt helped me to think that straight for the last hour.
I just hope that who ever it was and what its for, will forgive me for not remembering! eekWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
glad to hear you escaped, and actually glad that whatever it is they have started to investigate it so promptly.
However, next time you are at the hospital please ask for help if DGD needs lifting, pushing etc. They have porters for moving patients around the hospital, yes it can be tedious waiting for them, but if you're not fit to do it, then you're not fit to do it and you don't help anyone by wrecking yourself.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Thanks, you are right. I will ask for help. I shall make sure I keep my collar on, as that sort of flags up a warning. When I had taken it off sitting in the waiting room, of course nobody can see the problem, apart from my limping around. Cannot use my stick if I am actually carrying DGD.
I caught my foot in my laptop wire last night, tripped and fell onto the new table I had bought for the laptop. Caught it right on my tummy and it collapsed into my chair! Me ontop of it.! What a twit. So thats outside for the dustmen, and not even 5 days old!
Luckily no lasting damage done to me except perhaps a bit of my pride. Thank goodness there was nobody to see me! :rotfl::rotfl:
I shall take a magazine, and I shall have a small change bag left in the car just incase the worst happens. But I am confident that DGD is back to her normal self.
We are running a bit behind as I didnt put the alarm on this morning, and it was 7.30 when DGD woke up. I had woken but nodded back off to sleep. There is no rush as we dont have to be at the hospital until 10.30.
I shall cancel the Health Visitor as fitting the two in would have been a bit tight. I dont want to be racing to the hospital appointment after all. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Thank goodness all that is dented is your pride!
Good luck at the hospital:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Well all the well wishes worked. DGD is fine, and had the all clear from the hospital. They think she had a virus of some sort, but that she shifted it quickly. But if she shows any signs of it re occurring to go to the GP again. I asked the doctor about her weight and height ratio as the other night the doctor had said DGD was over weight. So she checked it out for me. DGD is 22kg and 113cm tall. So she is in the top bracket of height for her age, and is perfectly fine at 22kg for the height and I was not to worry.
We are now home and I can finally relax. I am tired, and its been a stressful time but thankfully its all over with now.
I hope that i can muster up some energy to sew this afternoon. I really am itching to get to the sewing machine.
DGD is watching her Scooby Doo and is back to her normal self of permant questioning and asking questions left right and centre.
I am hoping that I will be able to catch up with Molly for a cuppa soon. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I'm really glad she is okay - Although I also have to say, I'm glad they took it so seriously. They didn't when I couldn't use my legs at 5, all of a sudden, and because of this my parents thought I was faking it. My legs are much worse for it now!
I'm glad they reassured you about her weight too, she sounds like a good size for her height!
I hope you can have a more relaxing rest-of-day, and don't forget to let us know if we can help in any way!0 -
I am delighted to hear that DGD is back to her normal self. :j I hope you get a rest as you really do need it! I was wondering how DGD was getting on but I haven't had internet at home since Tuesday 1st November because BT were working on my line and took the broadband of it. I should have broadband at home again on Wednesday 9th November.0

I had a cuppa with Molly and her daughter came to keep an eye on DGD, however she has gone home unwell bless her, I think she is succumbing to the virus thats going around.! So now its my turn to wish her well.
While she was here I managed to spend about an hour and a half in my work room sorting out a couple of bags that I had cut out, and starting to sew them. So I feel as if I have finally achieved something.
My arm is sore now though.
I didnt take my lunch time tablets till around 3pm as my first ones of the day were late. So I cannot take anymore tablets for a few more hours.
Tomorrow the job centre are calling me, about my Back to Work related interview. (I dont have to attend the jobcentre as the woman has met me before and knows that I was trying to set up my sewing earlier in the year when I was not as bad as I am at the moment.), so this is a blessing.
I also have my physio at 3pm. So its a busy afternoon, but should have a slower morning, allowing me to catch up around the house and still fit in a bit of sewing to continue with the bags.
We had chicken, mashed celeriac and purple carrots for tea! Never had that combination before, but it was fine. I wouldnt go out and buy the celerial but it was in my fruit and veg box last week, so I needed to use it up. I still have a few stray bits of fruit and veg that need using up and the new box comes tomorrow.
I havent left them out their box as its pouring rain and it would be ruined. I will have to see if its drier in the morning and put it out when we get up. (if he hasnt already delivered). When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Yes my DD is succumbing to the virus and now has achey legs and arms as does her Dad. I wonder if this is the virus that affected DGD?
Hopefully she will feel better in the morning as I have dosed her up and tucked her into bed. Everyone needs their "mum" when feeling under-the-weather xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
