Good News. I have just heard from Mooloo that they have been allowed home. Big Sigh xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

I am sure other posters on here will agree with me on this one....Mooloo & Molly please ensure you let us know if anything is needed. You never know, we might have it here or be able to help out in some way. It's always hard asking for help from others, I'm the worlds worst and wait until breaking point, but truly, even if it is just some children's magazines to entertain DGD or some pj's for hospital, slippers etc. I'm sure most of us will be able to help and really truly want to help. xxx0

Thankyou for all your kind comments and supportive posts x
It has been a worrying few days for Mooloo and she has had a very stressful few days with Social Services too. I think she is off to Oxford tonight so hopefully will catch up on her sleep in a comfy bed and not a hospital put-u-up.
I personally know that she derives a great deal of support from all of you who post and also lurk on this thread. So a big THANK YOU from me to you from the bottom of my heart:T:T:TI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Hello,
Gosh all your well wishes seemed to have worked.
It was a long evening/night on Friday. The doctor was not happy with DGD's leg and sent us for Xrays and blood tests. We had to wait dispite the doctor talking straight to the hospital direct!. Anyway, the long and the short of it all was that she had an Xray on her lower leg which showed nothing abnormal. Then they gave her yet another physical examination, with two peadiatric/orthopeadic doctors. They decided to admit her and to take blood test to see if she had a virus. they had the opinion that she had some sort of arthritis or virus in the bones of the hip joint! this threw me as I didnt realise that it could be refered pain. So I got to sleep on a put u up bed beside DGD. They came back to check her obs etc in the night, and told me that the bloods were needed to be done again, so they had to take more. Luckily they had put an intraveneous valve? in her hand and could remove the blood while she continued to sleep. I managed to have around 4 hours sleep. DGD woke refreshed really at about 6.15. But the doctors didnt come around until around 10.30. They sent DGD for a hip Xray. (Its me that had to take her here and there through all of this and it was heavy work lifting her. I managed to get a wheelchair when one of the nurses realised that I had a neck collar on, and asked me why I had it. Told her cervical Spondylitis and from there it was you shouldnt be lifting and they helped me.
Molly was fantastic. With her Daughter having my door key, they came to the house and collected all the necessary, and more. Molly brought DGD a mag and one for me too, as well as drink, biscuits and the smellies etc necessary for me to have a much needed shower. She also came at about 8am so I am so grateful to her. I hadnt taken anything with me for an overnight stay for either of us. I ended up sleeping in a most" glamourous" hospital gown. Least said!!
After DGD's hip Xray came back they decided that they couldnt do anything at the moment, until the hospital re-opened on Monday so they sent us home at lunchtime, and we have to go back to the hospital on Monday at 10.30. The doctors will look at her then and decide if they are going to give her a bone scan or not. I spoke on the phone with them today, to tell them that she appears to be completely fine now, and was running around as if nothing had happened. But they still want to see her in the morning.
We are supposed to be going to see the health visitor for her to fill in her report ready for the LAC review in a couple of weeks, but we will have to reschedule.
I was deeply hurt that while DGD was having a screaming abdabs while they took her bloods and inserted the intraveneous thingy one of the doctors told me that she was too heavy. They had asked her weight, and when we had been in triage they had weighed her,a nd I had remembered that she was around 22kg. She is 110cm tall.
Anyway I was given a mini lecture by the peadiatrician who said that if she is too heavy now it will affect her in later life.
There isnt a spare piece of fat on that child at all. She is a tall girl.! I was moritfied. I never over feed kids. And what a time to say that. My heart was already on the floor for her being admitted and for the threat hanging over us of a possible virus or arthritis. All sorts were going through my brain at the time. The worst of course.
I am tired still. we did go on to Oxford, where BF let me have an hours sleep and he kept an eye on DGD. She had said she wanted to go to bed, so I had put her down to sleep, but obviously she didnt so she had got up.
We didnt do much as BF wasnt feeling too well, and he had a bad back! I did tell him to take his diclofenic that he had been given for his knee but he didnt. He hates medicine and will not take it, (or allow his family to have anything) if at all possible.! He was horrified at the amounts of medication I was on when he realised.
We had an early night too.
Today we didnt do much, and came home at lunchtime for DGD to go to her Scooter disco. where I am pleased to say she was as fit as a flea and jumping off of the apparatus, and the Bouncy castle etc etc.
The noise and not getting to sit down for 2 hours as really added to my tiredness, so I can see me not doing much for the rest of the day.
I must just get intouch with Molly now and once again thank her for all her help.
Thanks again for all the well wishes.
MooWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
