Poor DGD, doesn't sound like she is faking it to me either
I think you said the right thing to Twin1 re DS, not callous at all. He needs to learn there are consequences to getting that drunk.
If you can get DGD to the car could twin1 come down to carry her up the stairs?
Hope you get on OK at the Dr and physio.

Mooloo one of my grandsons was knocked down the stairs by their dog a few years ago and although he walked immediately after it got worse and they took him to have his leg x -rayed and it turned out he had a green stick break. Did your grandaughter show you how she hurt her leg? she may have fallen before bed, even outside or at nursery.0

Doesn't sound like your DGD is faking it, I hope the doctors get her sorted out today! Poor, poor DGD.0

Well we cannot see the doctor till after surgery this evening. So not that thrilled.
We went to see twins. I had a struggle to get DGD to the car, and in it. Got her Mum to lift at the other end.
She is limping about in the house, but when she starts to walk its as if the leg sort of crumbles on her when she hurts. So I dont think its fake at all.
I missed a telephone call when I went out so I rang it back. Wish I hadnt it was the dam social worker from yesterday.
Again. She shredded the information from yesterday after filling in her report but hasnt got the contact details of my Ex. She had emailed me but ofcourse i hadnt read them yet.
Anyway, by the time I rang her back (just now) she had had a call back from the Chairwoman, that I complained to.
I left a message for the Chairwoman and she got back to me about 9.30 this morning. She agreed that its all a shambles and she has agreed that I must put in another official complaint. that there is no need for them to keep going into my personal history etc etc and that its all rather incensitive.
Anyway, when I just spoke to yesterdays worker, I told her that its not her personally, but I am not going to have anything more to do with them.
She said that she needed Ex hubbys number as as DGD is still a LAC child that they will need to CRB check them. (Him and his wife as well as interview them again)>I refused to re give the information. I told her that she can go and find out from someone else. That all this information has been given before, its about time that they all tallked to each other.
She said she would call me Monday, and I told her not to bother. She said that she was having a meeting with her boss about DGD going to her granddad. I said if they were going to critisise my judgement now after 4 years, then I would say that Social Services wasnt worth the paper to write on.! That DGD will be going to her grandad next weekend as planned and if they want to waste resources interviening then they are fools. Go and take care of children that are out there and at risk. I told her I will not speak to her again. IF she wants anything go through my solicitors.
So they can put that in thier pipe and smoke it.
On another note my neck/shoulder and arm are rebelling about carrying dgd/helping/etc her around the house. I feel twisted and all messed up. I see a horrible afternoon and evening ahead, and probably the weekend at Oxford cancelled.
Molly is feeling a bit brighter and is going to sit with DGD while I have my treatments this afternoon for an hour or so. Hopefully we will get to see the doctor for DGD as early as possible and get it all over and done with.
What if she has fractured a bone? Oh god.
I feel sick at the thought! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
You cross the 'what if' bridge when you have to.
You encourage her to find other ways to get up and downstairs without you carrying her: on her behind if necessary.
You did the right thing with DS1!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Crickey! DGD's grandad just rang to say that they didnt want to be cheeky but could they have DGD for Christmas. I have told him about the SS etc and thier rubbish stuff, incase they get back on to him soon.
Anyway, it will be strange to not have DGD but it will also be a welcome break for me to not have to do the whole thing on the day.
I shall spend it with BF at his and he can do the work! hehe.
I shall still decorate and all the stuff this year, for DGD as we didnt get any decorations last year due to moving house.
Not long now before my doctors appointment, can try and get the time for DGD's then too.
Molly will be here soon. Typically the heavens have just opened. Hope she can park as close to the house as she can. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Glad to hear Molly is a bit perkier and can step in t look after DGD while you have your appointment, hope that goes OK.
:j To your Ex for wanting DGD for Christmas :j
:T:T To you for telling the Social Worker to stick that in her pipe and smoke it :T:T
It probably won't help at all but sometimes it is good to get things off your chest
Hope you get to find out what is wrong with DGD's leg, all sounds very odd. And well done you for getting help to get her to Twin1's flat.:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Thank you for the :T:T:T but DGD is absolutely no trouble and I love sitting with her.
I hope you get to the bottom of the trouble with her leg. We practiced stairs today going up and down on her bottom so hopefully Mooloo wont have to carry her up and down xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I hope you've managed to get her leg x-rayed! Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious. xxxx0

Ah, you deserve more :T:T:T for teaching stairs!
I know DGD is no trouble but a little one when you are not feeling your best can be tough.
I really do think it is brill that you and Mooloo found each other via MSE and can offer such a lot of support to each other. Although we all try to help here there is nothing like actual contact with a real person. Thank you!:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0
