I have been cutting out bags, purses, and wallets and sewing trimming on towels and making childrens aprons today.

I am tired and sore, but its been good to focus. It leaves me 15 bags/purses/wallets to sew over the next few days/ start of next week. I hope.:D

It sounds like you have a one woman factory going! At the rate your going with making bags etc it will not take you long to find the extra £1000 you need. :money:

Well I would love that. I am making a lot so that I can spread them out and get as many seen as possible. hopefully they will sell better if there is a bit of a variety and some saturation. But these are very simple tote bags, without internal pockets etc.
I will make the better ones, next. But I wanted to have a few simple ones as the shop doesnt think they will get the money for them! (so she says).
The othershop I still need to go and visit. Maybe next week. If I have enough bags actually made up,
There are still quite a few of the purses/wallets that I cut out last week to be sew. I havent sourced the zips yet, in the right colours, and I dont want to spend any more money, until I start to see some actual sales again.
I have a long long way to go to get the £1000!!! Especially if I am only going to be getting around £3 for a wallet and purse, and £8-10 for the totebag.
Anyway, I will plod on and I will get there eventually.
    :D

Oh, leave her in them ... I bought my 3 what I thought were Harry Potter shorts and t-shirt sets, which were actually pyjamas! They never wore the shorts (they weren't really shorts wearers) but they wore those t-shirts everywhere!

Must be the same set that I got eldest......he is now wearing the top as a pyjama top but he originally wore it as a t shirt until it got too short to wear out. Only problem is that the top was designed for someone around the age of 10 and less than 5 foot tall and he is now almost 18 and almost 6ft tall :rotfl:

He says he likes it so much that he just cannot bear not to wear it, even though the full length sleeves barely reach his elbows and the hem is above his waist, blooming good thing he is a skinny thing, no problem with fit there! :D
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

these started out as short-sleeved. Yes, they wore them for a LONG time! But DS1 (the one with AS) was a terror for getting into new pyjamas: the legs only came down to his knees and the sleeves were above his elbows and there were holes all over the place, but could I get him to wear the new pair? Huh!

Same with eldest....although he does not have AS. I got him new pyjamas but will he wear them? Nope!

We have the same problem with fleece jackets and shoes with youngest (complex autism), he has a wide choice of fleeces but will stick to the one with holes and too small for him because the others feel 'weird' by being new. Oh and changing his school trousers? Major meltdowns every time he has a new pair because they don't feel right, I even have to advise the school if he is wearing anything new so that they know why he is acting up and generally freaked out.

My nephew was the same with his clothes. My sister used to put them into the drawer, wash them a few times, and say, but they are not new, there in the wash???? Haha. Kids hey!
We all have such wonderfully weird treasures!!

DGD has a habit now of watching her TV in my bedroom. Even if I have not been watching TV she wants her TV on, and will sit in my bed watching ScoobyDoo. (MInd you it gives me a little peace while I get the washing up done (I know I leave it till the morning), and tidy up if I havent had the strength to do it the night before).
She finally did get out of the PJ's but it was a tackle battle.
Today she is stopping at home, the babysitter is coming so I can take the car to the garage. We are up late, I woke at 6, but fell back to sleep and woke suddenly at 7.40. 5 mins later I had a morning text from my BF. Shows I am late, as its always me who sends the first text as he doesnt like to wake me, (He gets up at 5 something!).
Right time to get on. Shower, breakfast, and get ready for the garage.
Have a good day everyone, and if in your travels any of you come across any purple zips let me know where they are!! I am really desperate for some 7 and 8" ones. (can cut down of course if they are longer nylon ones!!!).

    Thanks!!:T
I will have to put an order in I think. As they are about £1.25 in the charity shop near here, (but they didnt have purples). So thats halve the price, although I need to cost factor in the postage, its still very much lower.
    Wonderful. x

I have had a good day today.
Unusually BF was the first to text to say Morning.
I took the car to the garage, and they fixed the problem with the indecators, and the bill was only £56 and that was alot less then I expected.
I met up with Molly for a cuppa, slice of cake and a mooch around the Antique Cellar.
Molly bought the tea and cake:)
We saw some lovely bits and pieces of "vintage style" or Retro, but they were not really antiques!!. But I found a lovely dress on one of the units and the owner happened to come by and reduced it to £6. It was a really good fit too.
I took some of my bits with me to show Molly, and then showed a couple of the latest bags to the local shop, and she took a couple of each of the bags and purses in the Cath K fabrics.
When I got home the postman had been. I had a lovely book and some sewing threads/needles/and pins etc as a prize from one of the sewing sites that I subscribe to.:T
Biggest of Mooloo rang this evening, and one of her friends, who I have known since they were in infant school is getting married next year, and wants me to make her wedding dress for her.

So all in all, I am really pleased.

Now its quite late for me and bed time.
    Night all.
