    Morning,
I didnt get hardly anything done last night. DGD was still awake at 10pm and driving me nuts shouting Granny this and granny that. All so frustrating. This gives me only 3 days before our break, to make the dress I wanted (Mind you if the weather is as yuk its not one I will be able to wear!!), and the bags that I need to make to get some sold.
I never did get as far as photographing things to put on ebay, etsy or any other place.
Last night my BF surprised me with a text message to tell me he has booked us flights to Portugal at the end of August!!!! Eek, all my savings for holidays have gone on the car and the sewing accessories and fabrics that I wanted to get to start me off.! So I have not long to save up. Thank goodness I still have about £180 in Euro's. mmmm must check that out.
Time to take DGD to nursery very soon. She is wearing her new sweatshirt that i bought on Saturday. Even has said I can put her hair up????? What is going on with her, she runs a mile at having her hair put up. I had given up trying.

Sewing is on the agenda today. Stay home and get something done. I will also hope that my missing Cath K parcel will arrive today.
Have a mixed bag of zips coming via an ebay, but not the purple ones yet. I have decided to use up the rest of the things first. If there are any purple ones that are in the mixed bag, all well and good. I think I will cut down one of my long ones that is purple and use that for one of the projects I have ready to sew.
Have a good day everyone. I am hoping that my toe will stop hurting soon! Perhaps it is broken afterall.

I know I only read threads quickly, but have I missed the toe? What did you do? Maybe it's a while ago and I've forgotten ...

:j:T:j Yay to unexpected holidays :j:T:j

Must have missed what you have done to your toe :( Hope it gets better quickly.

Sorry you are not getting to do as much sewing as you want, DGD is at the demanding age isn't she!

Maybe I didnt post about the toe.
Or its on the sewing room thread morelikely these days.
I stubbed my toe on Saturday morning, on one of my sewing machines at the end of the bed! Its badly bruised, and could possibly be broken, as the bruising is not on the end where I subbed it but on the joint and its very---- painful. When you consider the amount of meds I am on, you would think that I wouldnt be able to feel it. But nothing can be done about broken toes so not really much I can do but take care not to do it again. Meanwhile DGD is homing in on it all the time!!

Yes a holiday not on the schedule is a great thumbs up. Now I need to get my funding sorted out for it. (Not that BF has mentioned money etc etc, but I have always paid my way, so to me I need to makesure its there if needed), and i need spending money to make it a better holiday. No money on holiday is not as much fun, as being able to buy a few icecreams or a cold beer etc etc when you fancy one, not when there is only enough in the budget.

Right Madam is still awake, driving me nuts. I am so tired, there is no way I can sew tonight now.
I did get a good run on my dress this morning, but its going to take me most of tomorrow to do the rest of it now. I fear.

There may not be a lot they can do to / for a broken toe, but it might be worth phoning NHS direct, because a) strapping it to an adjoining toe might be recommended, and b) they might feel that you ought to get it checked out.

Probably, but I probably won't either! I struggle to remember to get my prescriptions sorted out intime.
I live opposite the doctors as well.
If it doenst ease, I will nip over and see the nurse when I have DGD at Nursery.
    She is still asleep now.
I should have woken her ready for Nursery in 35 minutes. But I am in a go slow mode after being so exhausted yesterday and she was still awake as I went to bed.
I think that i will leave her to sleep, and go into the Nursery late.
Just going to finish my tea and get dressed.:D

  • Mooloo, does your GP not have an arrangement with the local pharmacy to have them automatically pick up your prescription so that it is ready for you when you need it? Most of our local pharmacies did it when I had the company and we used to use the scheme for our service users, so they were never without the meds they needed. It means when you run out, you dont have to wait for a script, just go to the chemist and they're ready.
Eat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.

Do you know I havent got a clue. I will ask Molly as she uses the same. The surgery and the chemist are together. All I have to do is to find my repeat form and take it accross. How hard can that be? But I still missplace it, forget until I have run out or its the weekend.
Should be able to collect tomorrow though, and the Toe is doing ok. I am fine. Its not bothering me so much today at all. (Thank goodness).

I managed to finish my dress for the weekend. Its my birthday present to me.
Twin1 let me down again, or more, she lets DGD down, but this time she didnt know her Mum was due to come, and so she is fine.
I told Twin1 that she always seems to be being sick every tuesday!!! Cant be bothered probably. Not happy with her at all.

Spoke to the Head of the Housing on the phone today. They are going to spend a specialist team out for the garden. But only the 15 odd foot around the area where the greenhouse was. They will come with the specialist and meet here, and discuss what is necessary with me. Hopefully next week. He will ring to make arrangements. I said any day but Tuesday as then I will be waiting for the Beko engineer to fix my parents fridge freezer with the new parts.

Are things beginning to finally come together for me? I hope so. Its certainly feeling more positive then I used to be.

Your dress looks lovely, it will be handy when you are on holiday. You have a fantastic talent, my sewing always comes undone, I am not good at it at all, lol. x
