  • Thanks Yorkielass, he's been struggling healthwise, and so it has been hard going, so now he can have a fresh start. He's still officially employed until end of Feb so can't do anything till then - and he'll be around to help me! He says he feels like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders.

Have far too much to do, and not much energy (I don't do well with deadlines). Rushed out this morning to try and get to the bank, but got the times wrong and it had already closed. Managed to post a few things.

Not been doing much last day or so but this morning had a quick look around and out went -

    1 book - c.s.
    2 soft toys - c.s.
1 rather bald red feather boa -bin !!!!!! G/son was a cockeral in school so sewed some feathers onto his T.shirt hence the bald boa. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: actually looked quite good in the end.
    small bag rubbish - bin
    2 plastic bottles - recycled
    some cardboard - recycled
    junk mail - recycled

The c.s. items arent out of the house yet as the bag isnt full enough but they should be out early next week along with even more.

Sorry to hear about your husband Elaine 12022, I hope he finds something suitable soon.

Haven't done any decluttering today yet but may try to do a bit later on, depending on how tired I am! Actually, does it count that I decluttered 2 Ferrero Rochers with my cup of tea just now? ;)

Ran out of energy and then hubby came home early, his contract been terminated (he'll get paid notice & get some compensation so we'll be ok for a while and he was sick of the job anyway).

So living room looks like a tip at the moment :(, even though I know have done some good work today.

Need to have cleared the dining room up enough by Sunday to move furniture from the living room into it, and haven't done any more in there today.
Sending you hugs elaine12022 :A - maybe when you read this take out any frustration on finding 5 annoying things in the living room and focus on putting them in either the bin, a charity bag or recycling :j
Edit: ooooppsssy 5 things cannot include family members or animals :)
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

  • Thanks for the support, folks. but actually it's fine at the moment. I think we are both ready for whatever comes next, and were half expecting this anyway. We are lucky with this job that we should have enough to see us going for a few months.

He has made himself useful today by coming shopping with me,and by making a fire (loads of rubbish burned, a lot of it papers I have been decluttering :jso less in the black bin bag now.)

Recycling just about ready to go out for tomorrow, normally don'tput it out every week but have enough this week (magasines etc) to make it worth the effort.

Tonight need to make space in the dining room for the delivery of the chest of drawers - then need to clear space to carry it upstairs & put in place.

Living room looking marginally better than last night, have started packing some things into a spare recycling box. (which until a few days ago was filled with other stuff ;))

Had a sort out in dds room and have cleared 4 bags of unwanted videos.
My dd 15 and her bf offered to take them to charity shop, they came back and Banardos do not take videos any more, so she took them to the YMCA, who gladly took them off her hands.
This week i plan to resort a large box of junk i have hogging kitchen space, and if i am very brave, tackle under the stairs.

Hurrah!! DH cleared out the shed which made room for things from the garage & now he can get his car inside & I dont have to wriggle mine in on the drive;) I put some of the stuff on Freecycle for him & the good stuff on the freeads - only sold the cat loo so far but fingers crossed! I can't believe it - its so great to get to my freezers without having to move things - I'm now decluttering a glass of Sangria
