A fairly productive day for me today..
Sorted out a cupboard and now all the videos from it are divided into 2 boxes - one for charity and one for recycling.
Carrier bag full of books waiting to go to OH's mum.
Sorted through a load of clothes and have a bag for charity, a bag for recycling and a pile which I'm currently listing on ebay.
OH is putting up shelves in the bathroom cupboard as I type0 -
OUT (or will be out once the CS opens):
- 7 items into the CS bag
- 7 good, clean M&S carrier bags for CS shop
- odds & sods of cardboard boxes to recycle
- 1 broken skirt hanger to be taken to Mr T's hanger collection
- collected all the greetings cards from the last year to take to M&S
Rounded up more escaped Christmas items to put away - and found the 'missing' Christmas table cloth :mad:I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

I have been relaxing today, as I had several hours on my own in the house which is really rare, so I didn't do much.
Two towels in a bag to take to vet
Cardigan in charity shop bag
Old camera in charity shop bag
That makes 71/100, but I have no idea when I started !!Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

26. Cleared a lot of old paperwork from a bedside cabinet.
Can you believe it contained credit card bills/bills and other assorted junk from 2005-07. No real idea how it got there and not sure how I ended up delving into it. I'd been ironing in the room next door, somehow ended up doing a drawer sort, only to go back in the other room to find the lights on, telly on, the iron still on and some unfinished ironing (now finished).
I've brought a load of stuff down and recycled some, shredded others, but I know there is a pile still spread across our bed waiting for me to go back.
I'm really not very methodical at this!Make £2025 in 2025

mineallmine - I started with you, which day was that? think maybe it was this time last week, oh dear, I seem to have decluttered a few brain cells along the way:D
updating my total:
72, 73 empty chutney jars returned to friend
74 -76 catalogues recycled - managed to resist the temptation to order from the book people, however the lure of Lakeland was too strong! so bit more clutter will be coming into the house next week! the shame!:p
Done loads today. Tidied out the car. Will report back with numbers laterDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Just been upstairs to find husband has been having a bit of a go too
22. Several old t-shirts for car cleaning ragbag
23. More clothes for charity shop
24. More clothes for fabrics recycling.
25. Filed away some magazines I have to keep.
I need to find that posting about bras, I've got several that don't seem to fit anymore so it would be great to donate them to a useful cause instead of keep getting annoyed that the ill-fitting ones are still mixed in with my others.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Oooh, can I join in too please? Can't believe I've only just come across this thread!
I'll start by saying thank God I'm not the only one! We (me, OH and 2 DDs) moved to our home in Feb last year so really it shouldn't be too bad, but it is. Still got the same number of bedrooms, but the house itself is a lot bigger and we have so much stuff. I know we've added to it but I honestly don't know how we managed before!
My targets for this year are:
1) Get myself motivated to actually do the decluttering!
2) Sort through all our wardrobes/drawers etc
3) Sort out linen/towel cupboard
4) Get the living room clutter free and keep it that way
5) Have regular a sort out and tidy of the 'playroom' aka 'dumping ground'
6) Declutter/re-arrange/tidy and keep tidy the conservatory
7) Keep the garage tidy - it's too small for a car and currently houses all our car-booting stuff plus other bits and pieces
8) Declutter and keep our bedroom as a calm and relaxing place
9) Clear out the kutchen cupboards and KEEP THE SIDES CLEAR OF 'STUFF' (major bugbear of mine, but I'm usually the main culprit lol)
10) Finish off stripping wallpaper in the spare bedroom so it can get decorated and the new wardbrobes be used to neatly store things
I'm going to leave it at that for now, 10 targets is plenty to be aiming for, especially with my lack of motivation. I want to do it, and I need to do it, it's just getting started on it. I'm a SAHM so really I have no excuse, I'm here most of the time!
WE have made a start over the xmas hols. OH put up coat hooks in the hall and we got bedside cabinets for our bedroom (1st ones we've had in just over 2 years of living together). OH tidied up his wardrobe and a lot of the bedroom. I've had lingering flu for ages so haven't been able to do too much the past 2 weeks.
I think because it's the start of a new year we've suddenly got the motivation to make a start. I often get down about the house being messy and untidy and have purposely not invited friends round for coffee as much as usual because I don't want them seeing my untidy house
Bring on the clutter!! DD2 is now at pre-school every day, 3 mornings and 2 afternoons giving me plenty of decluttering time, as well as still leaving me with a bit of 'me time'.
Anyway, new year new meExtra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000
