Anyway, going to get back on track today - think I'm going to start with today as day 3 and keep on track this time (is that allowed!?!).
Even spent some of my £2 coins that I was doing really well saving :-(Cross Stitch Cafe 2011 - no 58 :A

made jam at weekend with the girls, which used up a few of my stash of jam jars. we sorted out any grotty or lidless ones and recycled them.
had a 10 min blitz this morning on my bedside cabinet - forced myself to do it properly and take everything out, found a few books I thought I'd lost and one to return to a friend, few old mags/catalogues to recycle and lots of scrap paper of course!
really trying hard to sort things as I go and PUT THINGS AWAY!!weaving through the chaos...0 -

Nothing will be done today - and I've just had a huge delivery from Next - but most of it will be going back, as I ordered multiples of lengths/sizes in the same style!
I need a clear few hours to start on the paperwork, and so haven't got time now (nearly time for son to come home from school) but I should have some time on Thursday to make a start.Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Been following this for ages but not posted, with the start of new year decided to get rid of 365 items for rubbish, freecyle, charity, ebay etc.
Already done 187 though about 60 of those were bits of paper but all counts huh. Really helps writting it down and keeping track pushes me off the edge to put in a bag if can add to the list!0 -
Put my old mirror up for sale through small ads at work, someone emailed at the weekend saything they wanted it, great, bought it in today. When they came to see it they said it was too wide - I'd posted a link to the mirror on the boots website with demensions etc. So now it's sitting in my office. Sharn't take it home as hopefully someone else will want it - so decluttered from home in a cheeky way!Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

I haven't done too well with my 100 things challenge so far, but I have until Friday (I think!) Relisted a few items on Ebay yesterday.
In
Running top and trousers, fleece top, t-shirt, cami top, bracelet and tunic. The last of my sales buys - although do need to go and get OH a few winter tops. (Edit - these are clothes I ordered at the end of December and have only just been delivered - don't want anyone on the 'crazy clothes challenge' thinking I'm not declaring my clothes buys!)
Out
14. Five brochures recycled
15. Eleven birthday cards recycled
16. Pair of gloves into charity bag
17. Old work gloves thrown away as had several holes/tears
18. Three bits of costume jewellery into charity bag
Also trying hard not to waste food and use up what we have in the (two!) freezers before buying more.0 -
Quick update on my 1st day of the challenge
I said I'd make a start on finishing off my bedroom and I did it all apart from under the bedSummer shoes brought up from the porch put away; pile of clothes hung up, general tidying etc.
Out:
Small bag of bits for recycling
1 top for ebay/charity shop
Set of hair product samples for curly hair (mine's straight so don't know how or why I ended up with them!) - maybe ebay or charity
2 pairs of smelly/battered sandles from summer 2009 - pondering whether or not to try them on ebay after reading the 'well worn shoe' posts!!
Went in the DD's bedroom with DD2 this afternoon and again filled a carrier with recycling and brought down some toys to be put in the playroom. Found a load of hair clips etc up there which lead to me sorting out their hair accessories which I've been meaning to do for months, and got rid of some tatty bobbles.
Also made a start on the main bit of kitchen worktop where post, school letters, bits and pieces and any old junk gets left. It's half done already and a lot of it went for recycing or in the kids craft box.
Overall a good day for meExtra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000
