    Evening Everyone!

I havn't been counting my decluttered items but I did get rid of 4 Bra & Knicker Sets & 4 Bodies (all in ones - not human ones lol) on Freecycle. I also took my Christmas cards to Morrisons recycle bin & then bought 18 toilet rolls 'cos they were on offer & we seem to go thru them (no pun intended!) so quickly. I've also tried to put things away after I have finished using them - my mum always used to say 'Dont put it down - put it away' & I realise she was right!!
Gonna clear out the meter cupboard where all the scarves & odd gloves are kept - I also think there is a massive spider living in there so she'll have to find a new home (its OK - I like spiders ;) )
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

glad you clarified about the bodies! I know we've been moaning about OHs but that would be some extreme decluttering!

Haha that really amused me this morning! Before I went to bed last night I cleared made sure the side in the kitchen was all clear- a place where general rubbish just tends to get dumped- and it was really nice to start the day with that all clear already. It also only took 5 mins if that as I had decluttered at the weekend! My aim for today is to clear the sofas and the desk- also where general rubbish just gets dumped- and then clear them every evening before I go to bed, in theory then it should only take a minute or 2 each day!
    January grocery challenge- £338.09/£350

    Money made on ebay- £16.89
  • Well I managed to clear out my three bedside drawers last night - not a lot got cleared out as such but I'm happier that they're tidy and organised and I know what's in there now.

I also sorted through half of my digital photos on my external hard drive which isn't so much decluttering in a physical sense but it IS organisation and makes me feel better to know they're in order.

I aim to finish off the photos tonight and go through my wardrobe - got very frustrated this morning as couldn't find a cardigan I KNEW was in there, simply because eveything's jammed so tightly together. And when they're all crammed in like that they come out really creased too which isn't good is it?!

    I also decluttered a Chocolate Orange :p

Well done! I'm working on a tin of Quality Street :D

ahh good idea! I really must do this too - and I can do it in front of the telly! :D

realised that today is my 10th day!

    92. naff fridge magnet given after I did a survey
93 -97 mags and catalogues (seem to have endless supply of these!)

decided I'm going to stop getting the next directory - I've always known it's a waste of money but I viewed it as no more expensive than buying a magazine. but I really don't need a hard copy as I can look online if I want to buy anythiing. having a paper copy lying around just encourages me to buy things I don't need.

  • My son came home from school ill, so I am not sure much will get done today. I did manage to get a few phone calls that needed to be done out of the way - so not physical decluttering, but decluttering my mind (still quite a bit in there to get rid of!!!!)!
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.
