Thanks Jammie Dodger. Good ideas there :)
One of the things I find a lot easier is selling things on ebay. You're right that I never have to though :D It just makes me feel more comfortable about wanting it again because I feel like I have insurance & can buy it again without losing out. Grateful that my subconscious doesn't appear to understand selling fees and postage so nobody tell it, please :P :D

Definitely need to give myself 'permission' to get rid of things. My worst problems are 'might need it' and 'don't want to waste it'.
But i don't really want to be inundated with rubbish nor do I want to be wearing/using things I don't like just to use them up/wear them out so I need to get over it!

Well I am happy to report that yesterday I not only cleared my kitchen cupboards and decluttered some glasses and plastic tubs, but I also managed to declutter some more clothes from my wardrobe. I have already taken them to the charity shop as I can't be bothered to ebay them and it's nice to know that money will be made for a good cause. I have also started adopting the one in one out mantra, though I am trying to achieve one in and three out, it is working so far!

Went and organised the cupboard. Not much to throw out from in there. 1 carrier from that cupboard, 1 carrier from kitchen bin, 1 carrier of recycling done. All odds and ends taken down from atop the kitchen cupboards and put in the utility room cupboard. Noticed that I have 2 largish weedkillers so will have a read up on them and see which is the most evil and nasty one so that I can crack it open on the weeds which are taking over the side of the house. They need to go so that I can finish off digging it up and laying a new pathway down there. It's been rubble for 5 years :o. We got the front garden put in 3 years ago but the rest needs finishing still :o.
As I had to get up on top of the steps to get down a tin I knocked over, I saw the state of the cupboards  so I got out a bottle of stardrops and cleaned them off. I decluttered my kitchen cupboards about a year ago and used a bottle of washing up liquid, neat, trying to clean the cupboard tops. I managed to get 1.5 clearish. The stardrops I just poured on neat and it was a dream to get the grime off. I am well and truly astounded at how easy it was. I have used Father Christmas's wrapping paper to line the tops of one wall of cupboards before I put up the biscuit tins and lunch boxes. I will use the remainder of the roll to do the other wall of cupboards tomorrow. At least it will get used then. Also, next time I go up there to clean, I can just remove the paper and wipe down the tops easily. Now that I have cleaned the tops of the cupboard, I can get DH to put the cornice on the tops of the cupboards. I wouldn't let him do it last time because I was dreading having to scrub so hard for so long to get the cupboards clean.
    *Loves stardrops* :D.
I have sliced some mushrooms and have them open freezing so I can bag them and I have thinly sliced some and am trying to dehydrate them. I shall see how that goes before I try doing any more but it could lead to an interesting sideline for our dehumidifier if we manage to get any fruit and veg gluts this year. I might as well do it as the dehumidifier has to run ALL the time anyway.

Done some more painting today so I am nearly at the end of the utility room. When it's done, the out will be the fabric sitting on my book case to make the blinds for there and the loo. Oh it will also mean outs of lining from my bedroom floor and wood from my kitchen.
There may be another small out tomorrow. If the cat comes and wakes us up again at 5am wanting stroking and pawing at us when we start nodding off to sleep, DH will launch her out of the window! *joke* Blimming thing, stomped around on both of us shouting her head off this morning and pawing to say "Come on, love me :D". She does this when I'm in bed in the day time if the kids are just back to school after the holidays. She suddenly gets lonely and thinks I should be awake so she can ignore me completely or kill my ankles while I'm hanging out washing :D.

I'm still painting! At least the paint's getting used up. I look forward to being able to list paint tins as outs :D. It should be dry enough for me to go and put another coat on it now. Fingers crossed :)
