Last night I listed 4 books on Green Metropolis. And I have taken a bag of of odds and ends up to the CS this morning.

Hi folks
Today I got rid of a council tax bill for my last address
Also took some coin bags into the bank which have been lying around the house for ages.
On the downside, on the way back from the bank, I passed a bakery and bought my lunch...so the packed lunch I had with me at work came home again tonight!
Small stepsxx

Wow mineallmine you did so well yesterday!
Got up late today and I feel so lazy so I could do with some of your enthusiasm rubbing off
I guess it's nice weather so I could go for a walk & take things to the charity shop to make more space to declutter into!
Has anyone ever tried boxing stuff up you're not sure about & then getting rid of it 6 months later if it remains unopened? I've seen it recommended but I can't bring myself to not go through everything just before I take it to the charity shop just incase I want something still. Then I end up keeping things even though they've sat there for ages unused!0 -

Not tried that myself, but I like the idea. But like you I couldn't bring myself to not go through it and keep things anyway!
I have started to look at things in the spare room and realise that some things have been in the same place, completely unused for years. But I still can't get rid of these things, just it case I need it one day :rotfl:Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

Other forums say (from experience) it's a good idea to go through the box just in case you've put some essential paperwork in there by accident and end up chucking your passport or birth certificate.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

I have got rid of the tin of damp proof stain block. I spoke to DD's friends mum and she did have a damp patch showing thorough so has happily accepted it. Sounds like she has problems elsewhere too so I think it will be coming in very handy for her.
Very tired today after work last night so haven't done anything but in a moment, I shall shift my lazy bum and go sort out the cupboard in the utility room so that I can put some other stuff in there. I managed to get rid of the tiles so there should be space in the cupboard for slug pellets and such like and because the children are old enough to know they can't eat these things, I can now safely keep them down there instead of on top of the kitchen cupboards.
I am a little concerned that clearing off the tops of the cupboards will expose the cobwebs. The size of the cobweb in my bathroom is dreadful. Even DH is scared of the size of that spider- it's massive! Anyway, that's another days work.
Have decided that I need to paint the walls in the utility in the late evening because I can't see well enough to do it when it's natural light, I need the artificial light to show it up IYSWIM. So I *may* do that tonight. If I do pull my finger out and get it done, it'll be good because then I can get DH to get the TD and microwave down in readiness for me to paint the green wall tomorrow. I could fill the holes tongiht then too, which is a start. Yes, that's what I shall try to do. Been reading this thread and it's so good to see the efforts everyone puts in to achieve their tidy houses. Had a thought that might work with the "must keep it in case I need it ". Promise yourself that if you do need something you have thrown away you are allowed to buy another one (it will never happen). You could even hold a small amount in savings to cover this eventuality and not feel guilty if you do have to replace anything. I would like to bet you would still have the money after a year, and then it can go toward icecreams on your holiday. This would save you worrying that you are throwing stuff away that you need. HTH. Keep dejunking!:D0
