    Thanks weesmiler :)

It would free up quite a bit of storage space if I got rid of all the notes so I should probably just do it!

I feel kinda sad that my pretty coloured pens & folders don't have much use anymore :o
I'll probably start writing shopping lists in pretty colours just for the sake of it :D

Definitely! I've got some very pretty notebooks, pens, etc etc. I've really got far too much stuff in general!! But yeah, I'm just using my nice notebooks for writing out my budgets and shopping lists heehee!

I'm also trying to use up all my toiletries, birthday cards, wrapping paper, candles, craft stuff.....

Glad I've found this thread to keep me motivated to clear everything out!

Just having a big declutter - does anyone know a website that's good for selling books?

I have used greenmetropolis in the past.

    TIA

Todays efforts have seen the window frames finished in the utility room and downstairs loo and the fascia stuff reattached to the kitchen window sill. We have used up and chucked the tube of adhesive and a fair amount of the one I found in the cupboard. I will be hunting around for other things that need sticking with solvent free adhesive so that I can use up the last of it. I might use the same stuff as I've used for the window frames as skirting boards in that area because we have awful problems with condensation and damp in there. At least if I use PVCU I can wipe it down and wipe off any mould build up from it.
Yesterday I painted lots of stuff so am closer to getting rid of empty paint pots. More painting to do and finish off and will make up the blinds over the coming week (hopefully :o).
    Enjoy decluttering :D

Today I made great inroads into the decluttering of the study, We can see most of the floor now :j.

    Decluttering achieved today:
    - Lots of paperwork - destroyed
    - Junk mail - Recycled
    - All photos and photo albums put away
    - Filed away all DD's bank statements, CTF, baby bonds stuff
    - Few boxes and pieces of cardboard - Recycled

Most importantly - Found lost passport under pile of junk :rotfl:

    - I bagged up a pile of DD's old baby clothes for a friend of the family. They have just had a baby girl and times are a little hard for them, as they are out of work at the mo :(

Just had a look at green metropolis website. I might give that a try, I have a few paperbacks to get rid of, so I might try and sell them instead of taking to the CS.

    Hello

Today I have cleared some paperwork, sorted the fridge and emptied the bins. We are in the process of decorating, I can't wait to get it finished, it has been a very long job, probably take another couple of weeks or so yet, but the hall, stairs and landing will all be well and truly decluttered by then.

    Well done everyone

Feeling quite pleased with myself. Bag of books listed on green metropolis already before 8am :D

jenny_f I've not seen anywhere better overall. Might get slightly more from ebay for some books but it's a lot more effort. Amazon seems a bit saturated with 2nd hand books.

    Hi everyone,

I am a long time lurker and have enjoyed reading all your posts. I have been decluttering bit by bit since the new year but now I am moving house, I will have to really crack on. My problem is that it never seems to end, I have taken endless bags to the charity shops and have managed to ebay some, but there is always more!

I read your posts for inspiration and today I will tackle the kitchen cupboards, I hate waste but I am sure lots of spices are going to be binned, oh well, will learn next time.

Have a great day all x
