Not much to report today but OH and I took seven carrier bags of stuff to the charity shop this morning, so the huge pile in the hallway looks a bit flatter now. Tomorrow I'm planning a box-flattening and sorting session in the garage - for too long we've been chucking empty cardboard boxes in the garage and now it's looking very full, so I'm going to go and sort out boxes that can be reused and flatten the ones that can't. Then I'll arrange a bulk uplift from the council for the flattened boxes.0

HI everyone,
I've been missing in action! I've still been doing the toiletry challenge so lots of decluttering there. I think both of these challenges are making me grow up! Finally I am not scouring the shops constantly for stuff. Stuff I don't need. If I go shopping it's for something specific and planned. I'll probably still have hiccups along the way but this is a new broom sweeping clean. :A
That said I still need to move some energy around, and get rid of some more stuff. But I don't want to spend a long time doing it. So who's up for a mini challenge?Who's up for getting rid of 20 things today (Sunday)? Either for charity, deciding to list them on ebay, give to a friend, recycle, freecycle and at a last resort bin? :A

Why oh why when you are part way through a job does everything look a million times worse!
I've made a start on rearranging the books - despite rehoming 500 books I think we are still short on shelf space by about 300 books and now the house looks like a bomb has hit.
I was at it til 11 last night and have been up since 6 this morning and there is no end in sight - wish me luck.0 -
i agree 2manybooks, house definitely looks worse part way through a job! Have same problem with books as you, but its hubbys thing. He is still working his way through the library at the moment , looking at the mess he is on the last few shelves.
Good luck with the book clearing, i know how difficult it is for a book loverGrocery Challenge Feb 16 £346 /4000 -

We have books and books and books in this house too. I've had a Kindle since last summer and I got hubby one for his birthday this week, so maybe I can convince him to get rid of a few of his less read books.......
Gonna sort the kitchen drawer (!) today and possibly the ones in the coffee table too.
I have also decided to work our way through the freezers this week too.Illegitimi non carborundum.0
