Good to see it's up and running again. I'll actually bother sending my order screen shots over now.

I'll be sure to write an accurate, in depth and balanced review for you Damon - don't you worry.:rotfl:

It'll be along the lines of the review for Spinal Tap's "Shark Sandwich"... repeated many, many, many times in different variations.

Oh and I'll have a crack at the ASA thing too.

Can wait to read it :T

I've just received half my order... placed on 24/02, money taken 27/02. Two 3rds delivered 8/03. St Peters Ruby Red not due to be despatched until 14/03.

Do you know, I feel a little relieved that I've seen some of the bits I've ordered. Did have to chase for the part order despatch that was promised.

Have you got your money back for the items that have not been sent? I would be chasing for that now if I was you.

Can't chase it until 15/03 with my bank.
There's no point asking them for the refund.. will wait to see what comes of St Peter.

Placed a £130 order yesterday at 3.30pm from the-home-brew-shop.co.uk , just had a knock on my door at 9.45am with a lovely large box full of goodies.

    Good comms
    Fast delivery
    Everything included in the order.

Take note Damon, this is how it should be done! My £130 could have been yours if you didnt give people the run around so much.

    BREW ON!!!!

I finally got my refund yesterday, but only after sending a polite email to Damon's company stating my intention to visit units 4 & 5 Potters Way Southend in person early next week:

"Hi again,rnJust placed units 4 & 5 Potters Way into my satnav (very handy), so Im sure we\'ll be seeing you next week! I\'ll bring the credit card I paid with so that you can pop it into your system (for a refund hopefully)! Ha-ha! rnLooking forward to it (very much indeed) :)"

I then received this suprisingly eager & polite reply within a very short time (1.5 hours to be precise):

    "Dear Paul Walker,
I can confirm that your refund is being dealt with and we will respond within 24hours.
    Kind regards
    Customer service
    the online shopping company"

My refund was in my account on the 8th (next day).... This speaks volumes about this vile "company", and the following points might be useful to other out of pocket forum members:

    1) There are clearly still staff operating (if not all of the time) at this companies registered address.
    2) They want to prevent people coming down in person for a "little chat" concerning outstanding refunds or orders.
    3) It seems likely that someone does read every email they receive (and very quickly too).

I wouldn't suggest that anyone tries this tack without actually meaning to visit them (I fully intended to do so during an essential visit to nearby Dartford), as they will soon get wise & ignore such messages from everyone.
Also, be very careful not to threaten them with anything other than a discussion & demand for reimbursement or goods.... We know their pathetic stance on this score ("any abuse of our staff will not be tolerated", etc, etc). That they view legitimate complaint as "abusive" is laughable, but the last thing we want is this bunch reporting customer threats to the police.

PS: OK, so the bad reviews are back up on TP (with new ones rolling in), but why on earth is their rating still 8/10???? You couldn't make it up!

My final message to Damon (after 8 weeks of constant grief in trying to get my money back):

"OK,rnI have noted the refund (so no diversion to Southend necessary).rnIt\'s a dangerous game you\'re playing... You are p***ing lots of people off. Put yourselves in your many cheated customers shoes & if you don\'t hang your head in shame, I would suggest you have something missing as a human being."

I think I'll be waiting a long, long time for a reply to that one :D !!
