I wonder if TP close over the weekend. Perfect timing for Mr. Parsons to remove all the bad reviews if they won't be up again until Monday at the earliest.0

They do!close at the weekend. But, if Parsons is deleting posts a second time that have been returned by TP as accurate, TP should be told about this and he should loose the right to interact with his posts. I feel very strongly about this please tell TP this in strong terms
The best TP phone number is 0800 011 2822. I would suggest option 20 -

I agree, I will be following up my email with a call on Monday when they are back. It's amazing how many have been removed now, hopefully in the meantime someone will think twice.
Perhaps they should review all of them as I can't believe they are all true.
I have had a reply to my email to John Ritchie of RitchieProducts who are their supplier and he will be back in touch next week now he has the information from me he needed.
His number is 01283 564161 if anyone else wants to share their experience.
FYI I understand RitchieProducts supply "art of brewing" and that they deliver stock to them weekly which is good to know.
I have actually used "art of brewing", they were very helpful, I called first (once bitten...), I spoke to a very helpfull and friendly lady who confirmed stock and also gave advise. I got my order next day :-), They have been running for 30 years and although there website may not be fancy it's acurate and the prices are good. I will be using them again.0 -
Trustpilot reviews have gone from OHBC home page now.0

Reviews can be removed if:
The reviewer did not complete a purchase with the company (reviews on the behalf of someone else within the household is allowed).
I guess as I have been refunded I have not completed a purchase.0 -
Just to keep you all updated with my lack of progress with this rubbish online homebrew company as promised.
I still haven't received my refund yet. They told me to wait 10 days for a refund. It's well over that now and I have had to ask my bank to chase it up.
Avoid this company like the plague. I am usually very tolerant of companies and I realise they can all make mistakes. It is how they deal with mishaps that sets out the good companies from the bad though.
It's almost 2 months since I placed my order and still haven't received money back yet.
I hate faceless online companies like this who take advantage of people. I'll stick with my local homebrew shop who may be slightly more expensive but have always provided a great service.0 -
I am a admin (Vossy1) on one of the indepentent home brew forums mentioned in the previous posts ww.thehomebrewforum.co.uk
I am delighted to see that MSE are allowing the voice of so many unhappy customers of this retailer to be heard. We have been in contact with TrustPilot a few weeks ago regarding the feedback system they offer, and the ability of retailers to vet and remove non complimentary posts. They have assured us they are looking into the situation following similar complaints.
I am so sorry that as a forum we have been unable to host these concerns due to the threat of legal action, I'm sure that's something MSE and TP won't be overly bothered about.

I wouldn't be too optimistic about that. This forum has a history of immediately caving in to legal threats and placing notices saying that the company in question cannot be discussed whilst MSE 'investigates'.
We never hear anything of these 'investigations' and, as you can see from the stickies at the top of this forum, the company in question succeeds in completely squashing any comment for years. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
This is still going on and this company has a history of this type of trading going back beyond their present incarnation. I know of several people who have had their orders put back and are unlikely ever to receive them. The problem is, the company are using money paid in to finance back orders, and to generate any sort of cash flow they use whatever they have to fill whatever orders they can, regardless of how old they are. Then they wait for some more money for the next lot. Snag is, they still have to pay the suppliers bills in advance and their running costs, so more and more customers' money will go that way and the supply will get further behind. If your order involve several items, the chances of them all being in stock are slim, so you'll never get it. I went to the company Thursday this week and today (Saturday). They don't appear to be trading as there was no sign of life on Thursday or today. There is no sign above the door, no ID anywhere and it seems they don't want to encourage visitors at all. There are many excellent online homebrew suppliers but I can't help remebering the old adage; 'If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.' Homebrew ingredients can be bought in different grades, and the cheap suppliers will not be supplying top grade. We can only hope this places shuts it's door permanently and not too many people get their fingers burnt. As for recourse, the only thing to do is approach your credit card company for a refund, which they will happily do within their terms and conditions.0

I am in a similar position to you, Vossy 1. Although this company have already threatened at least one forum with legal action, I doubt they could afford it. In any case, they trade in the public domain and it's hard to see what action they could take when all that is being posted are true accounts of how they operate.
Having said that, I take your point.0
