The severe weather conditions affecting much of the UK and Ireland may cause delays to postage deliveries over the coming days.
We’ve been in contact with delivery providers and they have informed us that they are doing all they can to ensure that deliveries are getting through. You can keep up to date with the latest service information from the Royal Mail here.
In the meantime, in order to manage buyer expectations, we encourage our sellers to keep buyers informed of when an item is dispatched and tell them when there may be a delay due to the weather. This is especially true if you are dispatching to an international buyer who may not be aware of the adverse weather in the UK and Ireland. We’ll be reminding buyers when they leave feedback that they should take the adverse weather conditions into account when rating sellers on dispatch time.
For buyers who may be living in or are expecting deliveries from weather affected regions we encourage you to reach out to your seller by phone or email if you have concerns about your item. You can request contact details for your seller here.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our sellers the best very best during this difficult weather period.
    Regards
    The eBay Team

That's probably because we would be hard pressed to blame the US poor weather on our UK deliveries and the UK is hardly under 6 feet of snow anymore is it?

I actually didn't list this Christmas. (first time in 10 years). The speed I had items arrive from relatives Amazon and ebay i'm very pleased I didn't.

I had an item arrive today that was ordered from Amazon on the 2nd December. I had dispatch notice on the third. I was refunded a week ago and it's just arrived.
  • Im finding most UK customers are OK waiting, i haven’t had any bad feedback but have had a few + feedback with things like "got here finally, not sellers fault" ect.

International customers don’t seem to be as patient, may be because the didn’t / don’t understand the extent of the delays caused by the weather / xmas.
  • I had a postal order arrive today! I wasnt expecting it, and looked in my ebay for the item I sold and couldnt find it and thought thats odd!
Went and checked the PO - it was dated 30th oct

They asked where their item was on 11th Nov, So think I sent it around that time (I recieved several PO Same time then so assumed one was theirs or got one mixed up as was low value anyway) haha

There was no mark across the stamp or on the envelope by Royal Mail too!

It's interesting how many buyers who send cheques and postal orders that do not let you know who it is from or the item they have won. With cheques you have to do a search on the name but with postal orders it is just a shot in the dark.

I have had to politely ask some buyers to wait a while longer for their stuff. Sent something to France on Nov 24th and it just arrived a couple of days ago. Few UK items have taken more than 2 weeks to arrive.
